LEGO Jurassic World could have been a lazy, bungled game that had just been made to lift on the success of the movie. Thankfully that is not the case. The open world is a mess, but the LEGO-charm makes up for a lot of that.- Gamer.nl

Exo One can be included in the list of most unique games that have appeared this year. Not because it is so innovative, but in which other game do you ride like a marble through the cosmos? This game puts you in a state of movement and wonder.- Gamer.nl

Locoroco 2 might be a little less unique than its predeccesor, but its concept is still going strong. The overal atmosphere and gameplay elements will most likely turn a smile on your face. And for a more than decent price the game is almost mandatory for every PSP-owner.- Gamer.nl

Dragon Rising has become a very attractive and action packed shooter in a genre that's mostly associated with slow gameplay. This game could even be the missing link between hardcore and casual shooters. If you're looking for a lot of freedom, Dragon Rising isn’t that experience. Still, the game is a worthy successor of the first Operation Flashpoint.- Gamer.nl

Astro Bot is exceptionally creatively designed, with a few special PlayStation worlds as absolute highlights. However, in terms of platforming, the game does little out of the ordinary.- Gamer.nl

Crusader Kings 2 isn't a traditional RTS. The countless intrigues, relationships and family issues that you have to deal with, might make it seem more like a relationship-manager than an actual game. Still, it's quite refreshing and thanks to the countless choices it makes for a great political playground. Every play session is different and opens up a new story, but in return it requires a lot of insight and empathy.- Gamer.nl

Proun+ is that type of game that you play, then quit and start playing again one minute later. And again, and again.. Is is very satisfying to manouvre yourself through abstract race levels that throw a postmodern colorsplash on you. Mondriaan would be proud.- Gamer.nl

Wii Fit won't take away the heavy weight but it does give a lot of information about your body. Nintendo informs you about your health, rather then taking action with a full training program. Luckily the available activities let you move some muscles and are actually fun to do. Next to that the controls are so easy that everyone should know how to use them.- Gamer.nl

Stretch your fingers and invite three friends if you want to play Castle Crashers, because the game is literally a multiplayer button-bashing frenzy. The gameplay offers not much more than pressing the buttons as quickly as possible, but the humor and the fun of wreaking havoc with three friends makes the game worth the buy.- Gamer.nl

Heroes of the Storm is the hyperactive little brother of DotA 2. Blizzard has made a fluent and accessible team game. Every match is exciting all throughout the end and we appreciate the Blizzard-nostalgia that comes with it.- Gamer.nl

Not only does this game bring the gameplay mechanics to the same high level as the slick visuals everybody knows it from, there are also a lot of small improvements that make this game heavenly to play.- Gamer.nl

The expansion Gods & Kings doesn't feel like it changes a lot, since the extras have been integrated seamlessly into Civilization V. The game is more complete and balanced than ever. The additions make for a more calm and pleasant playing style, which works perfectly for this turn-based game. With nine new civilizations and three unique missions, you'll have enough new content to be busy for hours on end.- Gamer.nl

Mortal Kombat 1 mainly draws strength from the formula that made the series great. This means a high degree of accessibility, completely bizarre and grotesque characters and of course blood that flows (very) freely. The Kameo fighters are an excellent addition that give the gameplay the necessary depth. This means that Mortal Kombat 1 remains fun to play for a long time, even if you are already tired of the gruesome fatalities.- Gamer.nl

Since the announcement of No More Heroes it was clear that this is a special game. Good humour, nice fights and a great graphic style makes this game a real quality product. Although the game has some minor points, it's a 'must-have' for everyone who likes the genre.- Gamer.nl

Equally addicting as its older brothers. But not suited for long sessions as you might find yourself with a cramped wrist at the end of the day. Some nice new features and a solid tracklist, although it lacks some variation. A succesful conversion.- Gamer.nl

The third adventure of Professor Layton is the most exciting, complex and surprising up untill now. As long as you don't expect great changes to the formula, this third episode should also be in your Layton collection.- Gamer.nl

Max is our hero, and he will stay our hero. The game world is convincing and that is important as it plays a big part in the story. The game has its flaws, but the atmosphere, the racing and fighting make up for that.- Gamer.nl

Saint's Row isn't a very original game. It's a tweaked version of the previous game that offers a lot of fun, especially with a friend in the coöperative mode. Everyone who missed the useless violence in GTAIV will be very satisfied with Saint's Row 2, since that game basically is about just that.- Gamer.nl

On the outside, Unit 13 looks like an ordinary actiongame, but looks can be deceiving. The game has a few cool ideas, can be quite diverse and has a lot of content. The short missions are also perfect for when you're on the road. So it'll be a while before we'll get bored with Unit 13.- Gamer.nl

Outlast doesn’t do itself any favors with uninspired gameplay elements, that all too often reduce frightening moments to simple routine. Not to say that it isn’t worth the confrontation though. It plays into the fear of being found or chased by something that wants to harm you. That feels primal, and is often absolutely terrifying. This is enhanced by environments that come to life through a great attention to detail. Outlast is a nightmare that’ll stick with you for while.- Gamer.nl

Bigger doesn’t always mean better, as proven by Tekken 6 for the PlayStation Portable. This pocket-sized game impresses more than its console counterpart. It’s quite possibly the best fighting game on the PSP to date. The minor improvements in the game play make the game as a whole more balanced. Only point of critique is the weirdly chosen final boss, but when you look past that, the game is packed with quality.- Gamer.nl

Given EA's conservative approach, you already know exactly what you can expect from Need for Speed Heat. We are nevertheless happy with this pleasant exercise in street racing, tuning and police prosecution - although the whole thing has been somewhat frayed.- Gamer.nl

Every year it becomes a predictable conclusion, but FIFA 14 earns the description as the ultimate soccer game. EA Sports created a dynamic, unpredictable and enervating soccer experience. The same can't be said for the visuals, which feel dated and cold. The lack of new modes and small annoyances which have persisted throughout the years are things we'll let slip, but the need for next-gen is large.- Gamer.nl

Soulstorm is a good addition which expands the lifetime of Dawn of War. The expansion is standalone and still all races are playable in single player. This makes the game very attractive for players who haven't gotten the original game. When it comes to graphics and gameplay, not many things have changed. But the huge possibilities in skirmish and multiplayer compensate for it.- Gamer.nl

Skulls of the Shogun has a low barrier to entry, which makes it ideal to discover whether turn-based strategy is something for you. The story is filled with humorous dialogues and slowly gets players ready to fight other players. Strategy veterans have nothing to worry about though: strategic insight is still a necessity.- Gamer.nl
