When it does, it's really spectacular and questions that have been lingering in the background are answered in interesting ways. If the exciting singleplayer isn't enough content for your liking, the multiplayer offers a fun pastime.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's road trip is enchanting and wonderfully written, meandering between emotional and absurd moments. The battles remain great and the soundtrack is overwhelming, but it's the charming environments and characters that make Rebirth a triumph. Every location you visit feels like a small vacation with your best friends.

The problem Undertale is struggling with is that you do not really have the power to influence the story at all and there are a lot of long fights you have to get through to see everything this game has to offer.

Batman: Arkham Asylum isn't just for the fans: it delivers a great experience to all lovers of action games. The game effortlessly combines puzzle-, stealth- and fighting-elements. Arkham Asykum sets the new standard for future licensed games.

Fire Emblem: Awakening honors its predecessors and manages to put itself on the same level. With a series, that is according to many, the best tactical turn-based strategy-series ever, we can’t imagine a better compliment to give it. No, you know what, it’s the best in the series. Not in the least because a portable game hardly ever has as much personality and involvement as Awakening.

The Delicious Last Course is an almost perfect extension. The game mechanics and animations take the boss fights to the next level, the new way to earn in-game money is a lot more entertaining and Ms. Chalise provides the necessary variation. While the fun may be over too soon, this expansion makes Cuphead even better.

The Wii U version of Super Smash Bros. definitely is the most rich one. This fighter offers an awesome package for both newbies and veterans. Fights with up to eight people in one arena make for a great party. We would have liked to see the new features a little more refined.

Chrono Trigger hasn't lost its magic in 2009. The combat system is unique and effective, the story and its characters impressive and even the looks and sound of the game are more than you could wish for. It the end it was worth waiting for a European version.

It fully adapted Rock Band 2 to this knowledge and that's why single player and multiplayer mode gives you the feeling that you're playing one solid game. The game offers much more than its predecessor and even the tracklist (what seemed almost impossible) is even better than the first one. Harmonix has given the fans exactly what they want and has given newcomers a nice starting point.

This is the best looking, most comprehensive Mario Kart game ever. This is an essential for Switch, though Wii U-owners who have played the game and its dlc for years might be a little bit less interested.

Device 6 is a unique combination of literature and games. Text and puzzles are nicely accompanied by a surprisingly chilling atmosphere. Multiple times it manages to hurt the brain, but keeps players invested with an intriguing story.
