The Forgotten Sands does such a good job of returning to its "Sands of Time roots" that it actually feels like you're playing a seven year old PS2 title: and that isn't really a good thing. The game simply refuses to evolve and become something greater than its predecessors.

In the end, Darkspawn Chronicles is a cheap piece of DLC with a number of issues, but if you enjoy Dragon Age’s combat system (or the prospect of two more achievements), you might some enjoyment out of it, especially if you read the codex entries that explain what happened while the Wardens were under Alistair’s employ.

This is a remarkable example of a series reboot, which remains faithful to the source material while making changes that increased its enjoyment tenfold. I recommend this game to anyone who has ever enjoyed a platformer in their life.

Skate 3 manages to remain the skateboarding game to beat but ultimately lacks the evolution and balanced, challenging experience that gamers expect from a third installment in the series.
