Deer and Boy is a rare example of handcrafted work, made with immense love for details and characters. The simple puzzles and fairy-tale story might put some people off, but it is still one of the coziest games of 2026.

This is the best Digimon game to date. Vibrant, highly detailed anime-inspired visuals, memorable cast of characters and approachable and mechanically rich gameplay are sure to appeal to both newcomers and longtime fans. Narrative continually delivers surprises, while diverse environments — ranging from digital jungles to ominous towers of forgotten gods — keep the adventure engaging from start to finish.

Some fans complain that Coffee Talk Tokyo has lost the lightness and charm of the original, and that the stories have become much simpler. However, that's all just grumbling from old-timers, which isn't worth paying attention to. The creators managed to preserve the most important thing — the atmosphere of warm gatherings in the company of such diverse friends.

It wasn't at the time, but now it's abundantly clear that Arcades are, in fact, not dead at all. And yet Saros makes another case for it - showing how contemporary "blockbuster" AAA-design is often at odds with classic arcade philosophies. It would be a shame to see Housemarque stuck in this mold, potentially losing their unique and very important voice for the whole genre.

Forza Horizon 6 cannot be called a bad game. PlayGround Games has found the perfect formula for a service game, one that consistently attracts millions of racing fans with sheer numbers, offering them a comfortable experience with plenty of engaging activities. For the sake of this, they've had to sacrifice even the slightest hint of boldness. Still, the aging foundation is beginning to sag.

Moomintroll: Winter's Warmth is a wonderful story for the whole family, which only suffers from some overly drawn-out tasks. Fans of Tove Jansson's work will be especially pleased.

Despite minor flaws, the Danes have created a very vibrant, charming, and damn impressive game — 20 hours of it pass like a single moment. 007 First Light is a true summer blockbuster from the world of video games. And that's a compliment.

Directive 8020 turned out to be yet another failed game in Supermassive Games' catalog, which raises legitimate concerns about the studio's future. The developers deserve credit for the ability to replay fragments and a decent plot twist, but the effect is undermined by the uneven narrative delivery, poorly written characters, and outright boring gameplay.

All of Pragmata is built upon a solitary idea that slowly, bit by bit gets expanded into something much more. And this is where the game truly shines - in its constant ability to reinvent itself and to put the core gameplay into whole different contexts. It's a perfect unity between a simple but fun concept and an almost perfect execution.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight truly deserves to be recognized as a "love letter" to Batman. TT Games has delivered an engaging adventure for the whole family, albeit one incapable of offering any serious challenge to players.

People of Note deserves to be recognized as an original and fresh take on JRPGs. The game offers a comfortable combat system and interesting characters. The positive impression is somewhat dampened by a rather formulaic story and budget constraints, but the game's trump card is its handling of musical genres.

Phonopolis is a vibrant and beautiful adventure game you can finish in one evening. Challenging enough to stay engaging, and just dark enough without losing its harmless sense of humor.

Pokemon Pokopia effortlessly and unapologetically claimed spot as best “life sim” with cute characters — at least until next Animal Crossing arrives. At same time, Game Freak and Omega Force somehow managed to create genuinely unique project within ultra-conservative franchise and very crowded genre filled with mediocre games.

Mixtape is one of those games that will either captivate you from the very first frame and leave you with a genuine sense of admiration, or come across as a boring project with minimal interactivity that doesn't deserve the press's rave reviews. Which category you fall into — you'll just have to find out through experience.

WILL: Follow The Light is yet another walking simulator that offers an interesting mechanic of controlling a yacht and a dog sled. However, the authors completely failed in terms of the story and world exploration.

Call of the Elder Gods is a perfectly worthy sequel to Call of the Sea, in which the authors shifted the focus toward varied and moderately challenging puzzles. The story also turned out to be quite engaging, though for some reason the authors didn't quite polish a number of their ideas, which somewhat mars the overall impression.

Aphelion appears to have fallen victim to the financial difficulties DON'T NOD faced. Despite a solid foundation, the developers failed to polish either the story or the gameplay.
