Marko: Beyond Brave is good at its core, but its execution can be quite shaky. It has great presentation and methodical fights with bosses and enemies, but the iffy platforming and issues I encountered just left a bad taste afterwards.

Despite getting some enjoyment out of it, Ambulance Life: A Paramedic Simulator quickly became both monotonous and irritating thanks to the driving sequences. A disappointing simulator that just doesn’t live up to its potential.

A potentially great game with excellent visuals and sound design let down by awkward controls and a humdrum narrative.

Tad the Lost Explorer is a nice-looking 3D platformer that sends you around the world to solve puzzles, discover treasures, and prove that you are a great explorer. There are issues with some of the puzzles where completing it doesn't trigger the next event correctly, so you may need to replay sections.

NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja STORM suffers the most from questionable game design choices throughout its campaign. The free battle mode, however, offers a nice variety of characters, and some customisation options and a competent enough AI to make it worthwhile.

Music Racer Ultimate is a high-energy racing game with brightly-coloured visuals that uses your choice of music to create the courses. There are some neat vehicles to unlock, but the flashing, pulsing visuals made it hard to play for a long time.

A decent game to play where you’ll be asking yourself “what is going on?” but not out of curiosity.

Knight Crawlers is a fine game that does what it wants well but has nothing else to offer in the long run.

Fun with friends for a short time, Firefighting Simulator - The Squad quickly loses its appeal when played alone. Commanding a team of unthinking AI that seemingly ignores your orders makes for a frustrating time.

An open-world experience that loses interest in its own promising setup over time, before finding renewed interest in the idea of “AFK gameplay” instead. An experiment that just barely succeeds in its endeavour, despite uninteresting characters and lacking visual design attempting to drag it down.

All of the variation feels pretty hollow, for sure, but the design of the game compliments what that variation lacks. All in all, it’s a pretty standard auto-runner that also just happens to have Bubsy in it.

Super Cane Magic Zero is a crazy, weird, out of this world game that is fun for the first hour or so before getting frustrated with the controls and attempts at weird humor.

Relying too much on nostalgia, StarCore does nothing new, interesting or out of the ordinary. Most will probably be bored but there will be a few players that’ll get a kick out of the game.

TheHunter: Call of the Wild is a game that will appeal to those who have a genuine passion for hunting, but due to the general lack of content, a poor UI and the horrendous movement speed, I don't think those outside of the hunting world will enjoy it.

Slave Zero X is an interesting-looking action beat ‘em up title with a few bugs and feels a bit repetitive, but if you just want to kill tonnes of enemies, you will enjoy this.

Even though the game touches upon very insightful ideas with a very critical eye, it's not engaging enough to actually make you have fun. The gorgeous landscape and the abandoned hospital are great settings, but this game's ambitions are too serious, and it often doesn't come across as such.

Bloomtown: A Different Story is a pixelated RPG that takes heavy inspiration from the Persona series. While some cosy gamers may enjoy it and its music, there are some gameplay elements that drew me out of my immersion.

TY the Tasmanian Tiger 4 Bush Rescue isn’t a busted title, but it doesn’t do anything to make it feel memorable or special from other platformers out there. It mostly felt repetitive and not challenging enough to make it rewarding.

Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight is unpolished and suffers from its slow start and lack of story. It’s not a standout game, not even a particularly good one...but there’s something there. It’s an introductory step by a fledgling developer that shows real promise.

Garten of Banban 7 is a creepy game set at Banban’s Kindergarten. The controls can be frustrating, but the game lasts for less than an hour.

Although you’re given a solid level of control over individual squads, you have little control over the game as a whole. Nothing about the game reaches out to the player and pulls them into an immersive WWII experience.

This was yet another game that on the surface appeared to be highly playable. I just could not overlook the simple missteps and lack of story, no matter how mystifying the visuals were. This game is another prime example of a developer overlooking the minute in favor of glamour.

It’s hard to truly dislike a game that tries to meld pre-existing ideas into something new, and this is true with Indivisible. However, it’s also hard to truly enjoy a game that doesn’t fully succeed in any of its key areas, and unfortunately this also applies to Indivisible.

There isn’t much for me to recommend in Ravenbound — its beautiful landscapes and somewhat fun combat won’t be worth the hours of fighting RNG, a lack of deck-building mechanics, and basically non-existent healing options.

There’s nothing novel with this release; much like the droning ten-note melody that punctuates the menus and all too much of the gameplay, it’s repetitious and bland. Memories of Mars asks for too much player commitment and offers too little in return. Whatever this game does well is done better elsewhere.

Destruction AllStars can be an enjoyable Twisted Metal-like experience for those nostalgic for that, but once you feel the frustration of the crashing mechanic and realize there isn’t much to work towards, you’ll probably turn around and use that nitrous in the opposite direction.

There’s a lot to like about Community Inc. Unfortunately there’s also a lot to hate. The game shows a remarkable amount of potential - a potential that should have been polished off in Early Access or in beta. As it is, that mistake means that it’s difficult to recommend the game in its current state and at its current price point. Though Community Inc will undoubtedly get much better, it’s perhaps worth waiting until it does.

With a storyline that is clearly angry at western values, Mr. Prepper can do nothing but try and stand out with a story that comes at the sacrifice of compelling gameplay. The attempts to challenge with a forced playstyle may turn off potential window shoppers.

There was an opportunity here to take this classic story and use it as the backbone for an engrossing game worthy of the material. Sadly, the developer only went halfway with this, resulting in an adaptation about split personalities having its own crippling identity crisis.
