A short and simple game with good art but seemingly inconsistent and punishing collision detection.

Orten Was the Case has some interesting ideas and designs and much to offer fans of the genre, but may struggle to draw in new players.

Krai Mira: Extended Cut is an interesting title that looks to deliver a game that feels similar in nature to the games of yesteryear. Though it ticks a number of boxes of this goal it falls short on a number of others. As it stands however, Krai Mira: Extended Cut is a lightweight take of the classic post-apocalyptic RPG formula but is just that.

Packing Life is a nice, relaxing time, but there are better alternatives. The controls can get in the way, the camera will make you sick, and the story is just uninteresting.

True Virus has some interesting ideas, but it has a few faults that hold it back.

A simple, if endearing, game that’s far from purr-fect, but cat lovers will get some enjoyment out of Cat Rescue Story, if even only for an hour or two.

It’s not going to change the world, but it would certainly interest a tween that wants to get into RPGs.

There’s a good game in Morphite, but unfortunately it’s nothing special. Steam says that it’s had three developers, yet still I keep glitching through portions of the 15 pre-built worlds, and some of the procedurally generated ones. Everything looks nice, but that doesn’t elevate it far enough given the audio and fairly boring gameplay.

A great base to build from for the future but in its current state it’s hard to recommend until Frontier gets in front of the performance issues and bugs that plague Odyssey right now.

A decent game that doesn’t seem like it was completely finished before being released. It’s not a bad game, but neither is it a great game. One for hardcore Visual Novel fans only I’m afraid.

Gord succeeds in painting a dark and gritty picture of a group of people surviving against the odds in a dangerous environment. The Horrors are fantastic, but small niggles and big frustrations dampen the enjoyment somewhat.

Love Tavern is a really odd game. It’s slipshod in so many ways, with a mishmash of different elements presented in what could have definitely been a mobile game.

Leftovers KO! has a great hand-drawn look to it, but it is very challenging. It feels unfair, and making it so you need to do a star punch for each enemy is evil.

Road Redemption is a fantastic game to play when it works, when it does not it becomes the most frustrating game I have played in a while. The systems in place will at times not give the player a chance to recover or in some extreme cases races are lost before they even begin. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Road Redemption but I cannot forgive some of its technical flaws and because of that I cannot see myself returning to play this title unless these problems are solved.

Great mech design and accessibility cannot save Override 2: Super Mech League from it’s weightless, lifeless gameplay. The maps often come across as too small, leading to cluttered fights that really affect the games flow.

Though Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord provides a fun outlet with its battles and the strategies you can employ within them, everything else is lacking in comparison. You might get a solid 5-10 hours of enjoyment out of the campaign before you it dawns on you that there’s not much else to discover but a disappointing realisation.

Whilst the variety of things to do is impressive, Metro Sim Hustle spreads itself too thin, leading to nothing being particularly engaging for long periods of time.

Aluna: Sentinel of the Shards has the potential to be an excellent game with intriguing storytelling and unique characters but it gets dragged down by a tedious combat system and a world that offers little substance.

I feel like there's a lot of potential to be found in GARAGE: Bad Trip, but the poor controls and lacklustre sound design spoil an aesthetically interesting game.

Rendezvous is a great-looking retro-inspired title full of Indonesian culture, which is hindered by its frustrating combat system, repetitive gameplay, and bad voice acting in a predictable story. The game is quite short, so if you are frustrated, it won’t last for too long.

PES 2017’s biggest sin is that it takes the beautiful game that I love so much, sucks all and any excitement, fun and enjoyment from it, leaving a dry, dull husk.

Trollhunters: Defender of Arcadia is a dull but mostly serviceable throwback to an era of gaming where licensed 2D platformers were rife. Decent writing and acting do help it stand out, but not by much.

ZooKeeper is a charming game to look at with its pixelated graphics style. However, don’t expect top gameplay or player freedom from this zoo simulator. Its positives are equally matched by the negatives.

I found Project Remedium’s aura to be its highlight, and gameplay its downfall. It claims to be story-driven, but there isn’t much of a story. Missions are utterly generic without much to enhance the experience in terms of skill trees or equipment. I definitely recommend Project Remedium based on its concept alone, but the gameplay itself is no better than average.
