An impressive piece of technology capable of generating some truly gorgeous vistas, the game layered on top however disappoints in almost every way and just has no depth. Planets are fun to wander around whilst gathering resources to move on but you won’t linger.

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Complete Edition might be a limited experience with repetitive gameplay, but long time series fans will find plenty to enjoy in the narrative.

In the full spectrum of things, Tokyo Xanadu eX+ is a title that offers just enough to be considered entertaining, but not so much that it tries to excel in its genre.

Underwhelming in all aspects outside of the story and characters, Maglam Lord isn’t a game that will have you hooked from beginning to end, but there is enough here in its narrative for those looking for something a bit more light-hearted.

Whilst not featuring enough content to draw players back into Steelrising, there is some enjoyment to be found in Cagliostro’s Secrets, albeit a very brief amount.

Thunder Age is more of a demo than a full game, but it shows promise and offers enough challenge to keep you occupied for the short time it offers. Also, it’s free.

Warhammer: Chaosbane Slayer Edition is an improvement on the base game from last generation, but never truly feels like a next gen title. The added content will make this a worthy upgrade for those who enjoyed the base game, however the game remains too generic in terms of story and far too easy when it comes to gameplay.

The Technomancer has frustrated me a lot over the last couple weeks, because I really enjoyed the world that Spiders created and wanted to get to know the characters more, but the constant choke points and combat inconsistencies make me want to stop playing.

Estencel is stuffed full of those identifiable and unique gameplay mechanics that makes Souls-likes so fun to play. However, visually speaking, it’s lacking some much-needed detail.

Coridden is a fun game with an interesting premise, but playing solo just makes you feel like you’re missing the full experience.

Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree is an example of a game that is “just fine.” If you’re looking to scratch an itch, then Mandragora might be the one for you.

Priest Simulator: Vampire Show is a mostly-enjoyable experience, but it does lose its charm later in the game. While it has a goofy premise with a unique mockumentary format, it could do with a little more polishing.

Blue Fire is a game that does its best to tie together the best parts of other games, but doesn’t quite make it work. Its platforming is great and offers a great challenge, but combat and level design needs work. What’s there is good, but it could be much better.

Atomic Owl is a roguelike title set in a neon-filled world that, while looking nice, was frustrating to play, making it feel unfair.

Overall, ShapeRockets is a good concept for a multiplayer shooter, but suffers the curse of almost all indie multiplayer shooters: it struggles to find an audience. The endurance mode feels pretty unfair, and there’s no progression to it to give me any reason to want to play it. I also think that the game is restricted by its concept, since the only game mode is deathmatch.

An enjoyable game, with an interesting premise which is bogged down and held back by an underwhelming PC port. The gameplay does feel great, so if the technical faults are ironed out, Nioh 2: Complete Edition is certainly a title to keep an eye out for.

Worms Rumble is a hectic, and chaotic real-time run-and-gun style game featuring the characters you love from the franchise. If you are looking for a game that feels like it’s strategic ancestors with a lot of humour, this is not the game for you.

While Super Meat Boy Forever is a good game, it really doesn’t compare to the original sense of precision movement and extreme difficulty that stuck out to the fans.

Mechanically, Return from Core is a fine game. It's like comfort food: it's not great for you by any means, but it's still enjoyable enough to see it through to the end. I just wish it had a better story, cleaned up the dialogue, and a more intuitive UI.

Not a bad expansion by any means. It’s just that fundamentally its current balancing of monster hitzones, impediment of clutch claw mechanics, and process of endgame grinding/gearing elongate an already long process into a longer one than necessary.

A.W. Phoenix Festa does a decent enough job at transferring the characters and setting of the anime to the Vita but does a terrible job of explaining those things for newcomers. The combination of dating sim and battling works well but no individual part excels.

SOLASTA: Crown of the Magister has its faults, but still manages to be an enjoyable RPG experience. if you just want a D&D-eqsue dungeon crawler to play through, there are certainly worse options to choose from.

No Sun to Worship is a fun little exercise in retro stealth, but there’s not much here for anyone looking for a deeper adventure.

Knockout Home Fitness is perhaps not the best fitness game on the market but makes for a decent starting point for those wanting a bite size workout at home.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is entertaining enough to be worth the price of admission, but it's an action-adventure title that follows the same beats as any action-adventure title. While the story may be new, the characters, the set-pieces, and the dramatic ending, are all things we've seen before.

It’s not for everyone, but this magical game of beach volleyball is silly, easy to learn, and practically impossible to master. It can be a bit of a mess, but it looks dang good doing it.

While it’s welcome to see one of Sega’s most original IPs return to modern consoles, Banana Blitz HD is far from the series at its best and one that purists will find wanting.

A good first attempt by a studio that has only worked on animation, but not enough substance in the gameplay to keep you hooked to the very end.
