Everything in Ultimate Zombie Defense is fine, but the gameplay doesn’t sell itself to solo players.

Playing this game is like playing four different games of varying quality. If they’d just stuck to one idea and executed it well, this could have been a winner. As it is, sadly this is a game which is a jack of all trades but master of none.

An improvement over the previous episodes and the last season, but still marred by technical problems with Telltale’s aging engine.

A good RTS with four different factions with distinct playstyles. If you want a taste of the Warhammer world, this may be a good place to start, though watch out for frantic combat and demanding action!

Ghostory offers some really challenging and thought-provoking puzzles based around a unique and genuinely enjoyable core mechanic. Beyond the gameplay there isn't much else on offer here and the infrequent save points can create real frustration.

This title is pretty and has decent platforming despite not pulling the player in or offering challenging puzzles. Simply put, it does as much right as it does wrong. It’s short, but it doesn’t overstay its welcome due to that. It’s too easy, but it makes for a nice quick completion when you’ve got some extra time. Might not be a bad idea to wait for a sale and complete it in only a little bit more time than it takes to download.

A simplistic city building meets tower defence hybrid, Becastled is an enjoyable few hours, however, the lack of content means you’ll have seen and done everything before too long.

A cheap and cheerful (or not) game about killing your love rivals.

The poor writing and bad direction don’t take away too much from the co-op action of this cartoon tie-in. Fans of the show will definitely get more out of it than non-fans.

Despite a relatively enjoyable gameplay loop, Dig or Die doesn’t have enough content to keep it engaging for long. Dull visuals and occasionally frustrating controls add to a game that shows promise but is ultimately a disappointment.

If you enjoy long track races, and want a new challenge, ETRC is almost certainly that. However, if that’s not your thing, there is nothing this game does that will lure you over.

While not an awful game, this is definitely not something I’m going to be overtly suggesting to my friends. The game is made up of a simple kind of fun and not any sort of deep and meaningful systems or mechanics. Topped off with a generic and negligible story, Extinction only manages to keep its head above water due to how fun chopping up ogres can be.

GUNHEAD is, at its core, incredible fun; however, some of the roguelike mechanics feel lacking, while the story and characters leave much to be desired.

MythForce is a fun first-person roguelike game that doesn’t do anything new to make it stand apart from other titles like it, but the multiplayer mode is an entertaining experience.

With hardly any other true zombie survival simulations on the market, Undead Labs present a competent horror game. It’s rough around the edges, with many bugs and features that feel lacklustre, and a multiplayer that doesn’t fully deliver on its promise, but it’s still a fun ride with many other improvements over the original. For all of its faults, it’s an adventure you can rely on if you were a fan of the first.

Whilst not an outstanding score, this game is still fun and I had a blast reviewing it. The pacing of the battles make it very accessible for the general player without much experience with strategy JRPGs. But with the mundanity of certain aspects of the game, pacing being off and with its current RSP. It’s hard to recommend unless on sale.

An enjoyable stealth, horror puzzle game, that is definitely creepy, but not too scary. The puzzles are enjoyable to solve and will have you coming back again and again to figure them out. It’s too bad the Chaos Servants seemed so dumb and lazy at times, as they weren’t very scary at all.

Joe Wander and the Enigmatic Adventures features gorgeous environments and some tricky, yet enjoyable, puzzles. Camera and movement issues aside, this is a fun adventure that puzzle fans will get a kick out of.

All in all not a bad game, especially for a first outing. A little rough around the edges, but still a game that's worth a try.

While Cozyrama is perfect for die-hard decorators, those looking for a cosy time may find that this game feels more like art software than a game. If you want to create dioramas, great, but if you want an immersive experience, you may be left wanting more.

Although the game is still a good experience, every enjoyable aspect was brought with a caveat that diminished my enjoyment somewhat. It's a great idea, but its execution was not so much.

MindsEye is a title with a lot of promise that stutters a bit when trying to deliver, but there is a fun game here if you’re willing to get past the initial slowness.

An impressive piece of technology capable of generating some truly gorgeous vistas, the game layered on top however disappoints in almost every way and just has no depth. Planets are fun to wander around whilst gathering resources to move on but you won’t linger.

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Complete Edition might be a limited experience with repetitive gameplay, but long time series fans will find plenty to enjoy in the narrative.

In the full spectrum of things, Tokyo Xanadu eX+ is a title that offers just enough to be considered entertaining, but not so much that it tries to excel in its genre.

Underwhelming in all aspects outside of the story and characters, Maglam Lord isn’t a game that will have you hooked from beginning to end, but there is enough here in its narrative for those looking for something a bit more light-hearted.

Whilst not featuring enough content to draw players back into Steelrising, there is some enjoyment to be found in Cagliostro’s Secrets, albeit a very brief amount.

Thunder Age is more of a demo than a full game, but it shows promise and offers enough challenge to keep you occupied for the short time it offers. Also, it’s free.
