There are issues with odd choices or explanation of game mechanics, but overall this is a great sequel to a cult classic. If you like the original then it’s highly likely you’ll be able to overlook the slight foibles like I did and have a great time with Evil Genius 2.- GameGrin

Overall, Maquette is a solid and unique puzzle game with a sentimental, well-performed story that may hit a little too close to home for some, while maybe providing some closure for others. The Captain Is Dead does so many things well independently, but is held back massively by the pure luck factor of the games events. Plants vs. Zombies: Battle For Neighborville Complete Edition is really a great game, but the lack of local split-screen multiplayer definitely makes it feel less than complete especially when the other consoles do have it. As someone who’s experienced and loves faster-paced fighting games, this is an easy win and Under Night’s formula tweaks help keep just different enough you feel like you’re mastering a weapon. DIRT 5 is an excellent, stunning and simply enjoyable arcade racer that is easy for anyone to pick-up and play regardless of your motor vehicle knowledge with a career mode that is surprisingly entertaining. Bar a few niggly control issues, this is a great port of the game. Quirky humour, a lovely soundtrack and a story that keeps you engaged. It’s a little on the easy side, but with six episodes you do get your money’s worth.- GameGrin

Incredibly, the most impressive game at the start of the new generation is a niche Japanese game I had to import from France in 2010. If you have to try one Souls game, I would suggest making it Demon’s Souls.- GameGrin

This game is the perfect mix of an RPG, 2D Platformer and farming simulator that you can find. Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin looks and sounds great and has a great story that will make you care about all the characters.- GameGrin

As a budget title, this is a very pretty pool game and the addition of a snooker mode helps as well. But annoying music, iffy controls and an uneven difficulty curve make it difficult to wholeheartedly recommend.- GameGrin

I can see myself spending a lot of time with FUSER, as I regale moments of my youth with various software that didn’t have any of the shine present here. A music game without custom peripherals is a breath of fresh air - both in reducing the cost and in showing that it’s about the creativity of mixing tracks, rather than just playing back some buttons in time with the screen.- GameGrin
