Whether you go it alone or prefer playing with friends, Georifters offers oodles of puzzle fun set in a brilliantly lively world.

A fun, personality-filled puzzle-platformer that brings more to the table than you’d first expect. Despite technical imperfections on the Switch version, this is one to check out.

Georifters may look like a kid-oriented game but that should not deceive anyone, this is a challenging game that starts off as accessible but quickly grows into multiple possibilities for puzzle solving, with an intuitive gameplay and smart puzzles to solve. While the beginning of the game may feel rather slow, this is an experience that fits well in the Nintendo Switch catalogue, whether solo or multiplayer.

Georifters is fun with friends, but it's slow pace and rough character models mean it just can't hang in a crowded cooperative marketplace.

There are three stages to playing Georifters. First, your eyeballs get assaulted. Then, briefly, you get used to the hideousness, and you can focus on playing the game. This, unfortunately, is the shortest stage, and quickly gives way to boredom, as you realize there’s not much here worth doing for any length of time. Given all the excellent puzzle-platformers on the Switch, that means you can safely avoid this one.

Georifters has some good puzzle ideas at its core but becomes repetitive too soon. Multiplayer offers more entertainment, but the price is too high to make this title worthy of your time. This sweet snack lacks bite.

Georifters isn't the worst platformer, but an ugly aesthetic and repetitive level design make for a generally unpleasant playthrough. What's especially disappointing is how creative the core mechanics are. Players are encouraged to manipulate the world around them, but stages are so basically built that even the most engaging puzzles barely offer enough stimulation. Georifters does have a fairly decent multiplayer mode, but mainly due to circumstance rather than thought provoking game design.
