Despite the few flaws we found, 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand is extremely fun to play, especially to those who were looking for a bad-ass co-op game to play with their buddy. Just remember that the game doesn’t try to take itself seriously…and neither do you. Turn off your brain, grab your bullet-proof vest and give 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand some love, ‘shawty’.- GameFocus

I have played every single Square Enix RPG over the last several years and I have to say this is by far their best game story wise and while there is a few small issues with disc swapping and if you are not paying attention you will have to back track, this is one incredible game to play and is a must own for all RPG fans.- GameFocus

The original Puzzle Quest set the bar so high for Galactrix it is almost unfair to compare the two but in the end you must. If you can get past the “dumbed” down gameplay this is actually a fun and lengthy worthwhile gaming experience which most puzzle fans and Role Playing Gamers will enjoy.- GameFocus

I hate to say it but this is not a game that I can recommend to anyone unless they are completely patient and are absolute die-hard action strategy fans and then Blue Dragon Plus is only a game I would recommend to be rented or purchased from a bargain bin.- GameFocus

The beta for Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War II was such a tease for this game but did not prepare the average player for the phenomenal experience the final game turned out to be. While this is far from your standard real time strategy title in many ways and the addition of the role playing elements force this game to be classified in a league of its own, many gamers will find this to be a worthy addition to their gaming library.- GameFocus

We like to give you our opinion on basically all the games coming out but what we like the most is defending a game that is awfully overlooked and underrated, no matter how different the game is from others and RACE Pro is one of them. While the game won’t win awards for its minimal presentation value, the game shines on the real thing: the driving. And you won’t have any reason to call on SimBin for that.- GameFocus

If you own a DS this is one title you must go out and buy and if you do not have a DS go out and buy one for this game as this is certainly by far the single best Role Playing Game on Nintendo’s amazing handheld platform. A near perfect game for RPG fans to enjoy for years to come.- GameFocus

Part of what has made Fire Emblem such a beloved series is the emotional attachment the player makes to the characters, and unfortunately, this is largely missing in Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon. Shadow Dragon is not a bad game; heck, its a very good game. It’s a great buy for fans of the series or the genre. It’s just missing that charm that earlier games in the series had, at least for me.- GameFocus

3 on 3 NHL Arcade is a game that should not be a 10 dollar purchase, rather a bonus mode available in the regular NHL release. If EA plans on releasing a similar game in the future, it would be better suited to either bring back the under-appreciated NHL Rock the Rink from the original PlayStation or putting in some sort of ladder option or tournament mode similar to arcade sports titles from the 90s.- GameFocus

While everyone who owns a Windows PC has a version of Minesweeper to play, this version is actually better with the two new gameplay modes, improved graphics and some very fun multiplayer make this a worthwhile game to own.- GameFocus

There have been very few original first person shooters in the last few years and if you were a fan of the original F.E.A.R., be prepared to fall in love once more. Graphically and audio wise the game impresses on many levels and if it was not for the average (below average) multiplayer experience this would be a perfect all around game for action junkies.- GameFocus

For $30 there are definitely worse games you could buy for the Wii, but most will likely overlook the title due to the inherent "dirty" feeling you get from playing a game about a pair of sisters who slay zombies while barely dressed. If you can look past its glaring issues and let yourself be taken in by the simplicity of the gameplay, you might just find a worthwhile, albeit poorly explained, game that’s worthy of at least a rental if not a permanent place in your Wii collection.- GameFocus

LocoRoco 2 is a great continuation to the series and a game that most, if not all, PSP owners should have in their collection. Other than the minor gripe with the sensitive controls, there is a lot to love about this game. If you missed the opportunity to play the first, there is no real excuse to not get LocoRoco 2. At a very affordable price-point, you’re getting more than enough to satisfy your portable gaming needs for a long time.- GameFocus

This is the perfect evolution for a series that needed a new direction. The always fun gameplay hasn’t been altered at all, but the style is a very definite change for the better. Veterans of the series may find the more casual friendly focus of the main story mode to be a bit off-putting, but patience will pay off, as the more hardcore focused Director’s Cut is every bit as satisfying as the previous House of the Dead games and twice as ridiculous, which is by no means a bad thing.- GameFocus

Let’s face it, this isn’t the deepest experience out there, and in the end, your love of women in bikinis getting covered in the blood of the undead is really going to be the deciding factor as to whether or not you’re going to check this out. The premise works as great B-movie fodder, and based on the gameplay found here, probably should have been left as such.- GameFocus

If X-Blades retail price was $20 dollars I might consider it a worthwhile purchase because you can kill some time with the tedious gameplay. Note that I said I might consider it. At the retail price of $59.99 I would dearly regret my purchase.- GameFocus

I have to admit that while I enjoyed the game for around an hour, the length of time it took to beat both games, and the little bit of fun with multiplayer I cannot recommend this game to anyone but those with points to burn and if they are die hard R-Type fans, unless you have a few friends who own the game and are into playing Co-op then it is a great game to purchase.- GameFocus

It’s hard to recommend Savage Moon except to hardcore fans of tower defense games and those who enjoy sci-fi themed titles. The game has potential, but the camera issues and the lack of originality will alienate those new to the genre looking for a fun experience. With a bit more polish, the developers would have succeeded in making a title that appealed to a larger group of people.- GameFocus

The Battle of Argus feels like a bit of a missed opportunity here. While the controls work well, and the music is still amazing, nothing has been done to address concerns that popped up six years ago when the original game was released. Newcomers are definitely getting a great game that they may have missed on the PS2.- GameFocus

Mahjong has been strangely missing from the XBLA. Unfortunately, FunTown Mahjong is simply not good enough to fill that niche. Its sloppy presentation is its ultimate downfall, from the terrible tutorial to the awful audio-visual.- GameFocus

While Afro Samurai won’t be the worst game you will play in 2009, the only thing I can say is that it could be so much better. The incredible presentation level, the nice graphics/animations and the compelling storyline are overshadowed by the poor camera angles, the repetitive and tiresome gameplay and the impossibility to change the X-axis controls.- GameFocus

If you enjoy strategy gaming, then Nobunaga’s Ambition is one of those games you should own on your PS2/PS3. The game is very deep and involved and one of those series you can play for months and still enjoy it just like it is a brand new game. This is a must buy for fans of the series and a rental for everyone else who is looking for something new.- GameFocus

2K and Blue Castle Games are definitely on the right path but I think they could have spent a few more months or so to finish the game before releasing it; though, with Spring training camps on the way and the upcoming release of MLB 2K9 it’s understandable as to why the publisher decided to release MLB Front Office Manager right away. If you can get past the technical nuisances of the game, you will find a really interesting and enjoyable management simulation, one that actually tests your wits.- GameFocus
