The series’ debut of online multiplayer adds replay value to Strikeforce, which is hard to ignore. However, if you’re interested in hack and slash action, there are more polished, next generation games available at fairer prices.

If you enjoy story-based adventure games, you will really enjoy Time Hollow. There are plenty of twists and surprises along the way that you will want to see how it ends. The game is relatively easy but the hand-holding will disappoint the older crowd who will look for a challenge.

I enjoyed Silent Hill: Downpour, but with one nagging thought always tugging at my brain - it just didn't feel like a Silent Hill game.

White Knight Chronicles is a game that could have been so much more. Unfortunately, it seems Level 5 focused too much on the combat system and not enough on providing a challenge. That said, I would recommend renting before you buy, as the other elements just aren’t tight enough to make this an easy recommendation.

Prince of Persia: The Fallen King is an ambitious but ultimately unimpressive platformer. Its interesting control scheme can be very fun and immersive when everything is running smoothly, but as soon as those moments end and frustration sets in the game ceases to be fun.

Overall the game is fun and is lacking in several areas, but in the end not enough to say this game is not worth buying for action gaming fans it is, but just do not expect too much and you should have plenty of fun.

3 on 3 NHL Arcade is a game that should not be a 10 dollar purchase, rather a bonus mode available in the regular NHL release. If EA plans on releasing a similar game in the future, it would be better suited to either bring back the under-appreciated NHL Rock the Rink from the original PlayStation or putting in some sort of ladder option or tournament mode similar to arcade sports titles from the 90s.

I have to say that I was hoping that Uprising would have been the third Real Time Strategy game which I could absolutely love this year but it has left a bitter taste in my mouth. This is an expansion only for those who are die hard Command and Conquer Red Alert 3 fans who are looking for more single player fun but do not expect the same level of quality as the original Red Alert 3 had.

Mario Sports Mix isn't the kind of game that one would play for long stints, but it is much more interesting than, let's say, Wii Party. If you're caught (for some odd and unbelievable reason) in the middle between the two, go with Sports Mix.

ABBA fans, run to the store and enjoy! As for the rest of the mass, I think we could pass this one.

While it won’t win huge awards, The Wheelman remains a fun game to experience. The saddest part of all is that Midway’s economic problems have clearly hampered the development of the game. It feels unfinished, unpolished and compressed into its simplest form. When you go to the store to buy it or rent it, just don’t expect to be blown away and it won’t hurt your feelings.

There’s more good than bad in MLB 2K9. While the experience has been brought down to a certain level of easiness, there’s still a lot of things that make the game frustrating and tiresome. MLB 2K9 is a great improvement over last years’ game and made me want to spend a few quality hours on it. Sadly, making a “baseball game for dummies” won’t make the games better if they keep changing the recipe and trying come up with ways to be the big boy in town…I think this is what hurts the game the most.

From random crashes to the dramatic, yet at times frustrating gameplay shift from previous titles, to the storyline that never quite reached the nexus it appeared to be heading toward, Tiberian Twilight is a disappointing finale for one of my favorite video game characters. Kane deserved better than this.

The title's lack of track variety or anything really unique, takes away from what had the potential to be a great off-road racing experience.

If you like action racing games this is a worth while rental at the very least. There is much to do in the game and even though it feels like the game is just missing some key factor to make it one of the best arcade racers around it is still enjoyable.

There's definitely some appeal here for longtime fans of the franchise that just can't go without a new Yakuza fix. However, that appeal is very limited, and newcomers will end up wondering what all the fuss was about.

We can safely say that this video game adaptation of the popular blockbuster is better than some might expect, but it still has some rough edges to smooth out before we can truly call it a great game.

In general, everything on the game has been kept to a bare minimum putting all the money on a less daunting experience for anyone who wants to play a basketball game, which is good for some but not for everyone, without caring about what the hardcore next-gen basketball players really want. NBA 09: The Inside is the perfect game for you… until you get the hunger for more.

Alpha Protocol does offer some nice role-playing opportunities with an interesting story and plenty of different ways to optimize your character. It's unfortunate the gameplay mechanics hurt things as much as they did as this could very well have been the next big RPG franchise.

DarkStar One: Broken Alliance has solid combat and a promising RPG-type leveling system. It is unfortunate that everything else seems to have been sucked into a black hole. The campaign is repetitive, and the lack of explanations and direction makes this game a confusing play and provides an overall thin experience.

Sands Of Destruction is a series of great ideas that make for a very good, if not great, JRPG. Fans of the genre may find it a bit of a cake walk, but for novices, this could be a good point to hop on the JRPG train and enjoy the lengthy and entertaining ride.

An over the top homage to gaming's past, Blood, Bath and Beyond repairs Matt’s reputation as a gaming badass. Spot on humour and a penchant for gore make this easily recommendable to anyone who loved 8-bit shooters back in the day.

Considering just how different this game is from the other Spiderman games out there, it’s easily the most recommendable to anyone who didn’t enjoy the previous two outings. While it never reaches the level Activision reached with Spiderman 2, it’s still an enjoyable romp while it lasts. It’s refreshing to see a game come out that focuses on the dark side of being a superhero, and it’s definitely a trend I hope we can see more of in the future.

Confrontation is the best edition of SOCOM yet. With relatively smooth servers (patched and fixed after a rocky start) and great character customization, there’s a lot of fun to be had in the wide open and stunningly beautiful maps. Precision accuracy and coordinated teamwork are well represented here, making for one of the most fun tactical online shooters this side of Rainbow Six: Vegas.

I walked away from Scrap Metal more than a little underwhelmed. For 1200 MSP, I was expecting a little more variety, well balanced gameplay and a finely tuned engine.
