At the end of the day, Monopoly Streets won't replace the real Monopoly in your weekly family board game meet-up, but EA Salt Lake still manages to bring a faithful and interesting representation of the classic - yet simultaneously frustrating and mesmerizing - board game to your console.

If you're a Kingdom hearts fan, then I recommend it as a filler to give you a fresh KH injection. The story work was at times great, other times sloppy with the dialogue, and overall they could have brought it a but further than they did.

While it's got some decently slick looks and offers passable gameplay, Superstar V8 Racing just fails in every other respect to provide a unique enough experience to cover up the flaws.

For anyone who already owns the Gamecube version of Mario Power Tennis, there isn’t anything new here to justify another purchase unless you’re really looking for an alternate control scheme. That said, newcomers to the series are getting a great game for a fantastic price. Game, set, and match: Nintendo.

Of course, NHL 2K9 isn’t a perfect game and isn’t the best looking game but it does capture what we want to see, a playable and fun sport game on a console that definitely needs more than mini-games and Mario games.

Amazingly Too Human has some amazing graphics power behind it, with some wide open complex levels, dozens of monsters and the player or players destroying everything in sight, the game never slows down or lags at all. When we are used to games with 4 to 10 characters on the screen at once, seeing so many is a pure visual feast.

I believe Military Madness: Nectaris is an excellent example of a niche genre game that will really appeal to diehard fans of turn-based hex-board strategy fans. The rest of us will probably find the basics of the game, its repetitiveness and substandard graphics and audio to be too big of a turn off to give it any real consideration.

While Afro Samurai won’t be the worst game you will play in 2009, the only thing I can say is that it could be so much better. The incredible presentation level, the nice graphics/animations and the compelling storyline are overshadowed by the poor camera angles, the repetitive and tiresome gameplay and the impossibility to change the X-axis controls.

It has its flaws, but if you have a hankering for some classic evil dungeon master gameplay with a nifty new twist, Dungoens will satiate your hunger.

As stated before, portable Dynasty Warriors fans who have wanted to be able to play with their friends will be extremely satisfied with what Strikeforce offers and will be able to overlook the obvious deficiencies. While it might work for fans, new people looking and hoping that this would be the perfect title to jump into the series will be utterly disappointed.

If you love the James Bond franchise this is a great game to play single player wise. But it is a rental in the end as the only real replay value is if you want to get the achievements.

The Godfather 2 is a great game in a lousy shell. If EA turned around and made the third entry in this series into a competent sandbox shooter and improved on the Don’s View mode, making it more useful and adding more depth to it, dropping the Godfather movie tie-ins, it would be a lot easier to recommend. As it stands now, you can find games that do what this game tries to do a lot better.

The game concept holds enormous potential and brings a rare realism to the off-road genre, but it requires a few tweaks to the gameplay, and a more elaborate career mode.

This sequel is fun but gets quickly old when played by adults or experienced gamers. Of course, you will understand that these kind of games aren’t made with the purpose to compete with the CoD’s or Halos of the world but to give a cool, easy, fun and unexpensive alternative to game without hassles.

Explodemon tries its best to bring back fond memories of games that are nearly twenty-five years old, but it's geared towards such a niche audience that most gamers will be hard pressed at finding any long-term enjoyment.

NASCAR 09 is far better game than last year’s...but it still a long, long way from what we’ve seen in "NASCAR 06," which I still think was and still the best NASCAR game ever.

Essentially, Where the Wild Things Are is a standard platformer. Make no mistake, it’s still a solid effort, but the true selling point is really the chance to play through Sendak’s world, not the gameplay itself. If you enjoyed either the book or the movie, the Wild Things game will make a nice companion piece to either one.

Singstar Dance is a nice addition to any Singstar fan out there for the singing tracks, but if the purchase is heavily based on the dancing feature, the tacked-on offering by SCE London Studios doesn't deserve opening your wallet for.

Despite improving over some aspects of the first game, Conduit 2 feels strangely like a first effort. The rough AI, the bizarre and laughable story, and the lack of graphical polish give the impression that this was the first time High Voltage worked on the series.

While the game was delayed for a few months after the movie was delayed it appears the developers did little to improve on the game and if they did it was not in good shape before the delay. A few issues bring down what could have been a great title and makes this a rent nothing more.

Overall, weak production values hurt a game that had a lot of potential. Hardcore RPG fans will find something to enjoy but won’t get overly excited about it, while the average gamer will find this game to be interesting at first and then the tedium will set in. Clearly, if you like RPGs this is worth a try but otherwise I would pass on this one.

Given the garbage most fans have had to go through in recent years, including one luke-warm Aliens vs Predator movie, and the lack of any kind of game attention since Concrete Jungle, AvP is a welcome addition to the series. However, if you have the choice between console or PC, we recommend the PC version. It looks better.
