One of the more expensive XNA Community Games out there at 800 Microsoft Points (about 10 bucks), this might detract some players given that it’s a Community Game; however, the sharp, professional quality mixed with addictive gameplay and expansive game selection makes Biology Battle quite the bargain.

Only absolutely die-hard Genesis and Sonic fans will appreciate the game for what it is. If appeals to you, then by all means buy it but please remember you can also get this game and so many others for less than 30 dollars with the Sonic Ultimate Genesis Collection compilation.

This game has amazing potential, but sadly at the moment all that they have offered is a shell of what could be, I hope they finish what they started.

Madballs in Babo: Invasion is everything you want in an arcade shooter. The fast paced gameplay mixed with the abundance of online modes make this easily recommendable for any fans of hardcore shooting action. It’s just unfortunate that the Madballs license doesn’t play a bigger part.

NCAA Basketball 09 captures the essence of collegiate basketball and will give college hoops fan something to smile about. Although the game misses on some points, it’s rather nice to see the franchise improve for the past two years instead of taking a few steps back like its big brother.

We have to applaud independent developers and publishers when they release a game like Stoked. It clearly shows once again that it doesn’t have to be extremely pretty, uberly complicated and filled with tons of crazy modes and unnecessary options. Instead it delivers the deep and rewarding gameplay fans of the genre want.

Boggle is really fun and addictive to play if you’re into word puzzles. If not, maybe spending $10 on it is not going to be your best purchase since it has nothing of an exciting game. The multiplayer component does add something but it’s certainly the least appealing game of all six titles currently available. Peggy Hill would sure buy it…that’s if Hank lets her.

Provided you fall into the target demographic, there's a lot to love about Kinect Rush. No matter if you are slapping on your superhero tights in The Incredibles, or racing a co-op buddy with Mater and crew in Cars, you can be sure to have some fun, and get one heck of a workout in the process.

The good in the game is the price and how casual it is for gamers who want just a nice simple arcade title with pirates and while the game could be better on all fronts it is a fun experience in short bursts.

You don’t have to be a Spidey fan to enjoy this one. Good fighting, fluid web swinging and exciting boss battles make this game enjoyable. I won’t say it’s a must buy, but it’s definitely a must try.

The team at Cavia have without question nailed the entertainment portion of the game. But, the gameplay still needs a few tweaks to remain just as engaging. For a first run, Nier is exactly what it should be; a flawed game with a ton of potential.

Blitz II: The League is neither fantastic nor is it bad. The multiplayer is fun and the Campaign does offer a lot of value but the AI issues and the disappointing graphics and sound will put off most people. This won’t appeal to everyone, but if you’re looking for an alternative to the simulation of the Madden Series, you should give Blitz a try.

MySims Racing might not be the top kart racer on the Wii, but it’s deep customization and solid racing definitely make it worth a look. If you’ve played out Mario Kart and are looking for something that offers similar solid mechanics with a little more flair for customization, you can’t go wrong here.

As the product stands as of this writing, BRINK is a tough recommendation, but not a complete overlook. The game has its fun moments and clever gameplay. Unfortunately, frustration does come around the corner with a shovel and hits you in the face.

Problems with the plot, damage balancing, and the awkward grappling hook are faults that I can’t ignore though. However, Lost Planet 2’s does campaign offer some unforgettable moments and great teamwork opportunities, provided good group of gamers to play with.

At first I will admit the game did not appeal to me but as I played the game and pushed back the expectations I held for a game of this type and realized it was made for kids I began to enjoy the game and its quirks. It may not be a game I would recommend to buy for most gamers but if you are an average gamer rent it and if you have kids buy it, this is a great summer distraction.

In spite of some broken gameplay, the characterizations, campy writing, and a driving need to find out what happens next make Deadly Premonition a title that transcends the definition of what a budget game should be. It's a sure-fire cult hit.

Single player gets old after about an 30 to 40 minutes a but with friends, this game is unstoppable. The multiplayer modes really shine and cause so much laughter that everyone wanted to get in a turn just to see what was so funny. The lack of online multiplayer is a disappointment but for a budget title it is understandable and acceptable. You are in for the time of your life when you have friends to play along. It’s value far surpasses its meager cost.

While far from the best entry in the Buzz series, Master Quiz is an easy game to recommend. It’s fast, fun, full of excellent questions (and lots of ’em) and has a great all around feel. Lots of game modes keep the basic "answer a question for points" formula fresh throughout, and with medals, trophies and actual progression it actually feels like more than a shallow game show.

There is a lot to like to this about this title but there are some serious gameplay issues that hurt the experience as well. Short, quick maps at the start make the game perfect for travelling/commuting but the gruelling difficulty and choppy turn-based/real-time system make the game unsuited for a casual gaming experience.

Despite Alien Breed’s shortcomings, it still holds the charm of a bygone era. The new level packages, while not quite as extensive as the original Breed or its special edition release, provide more than enough content to justify the $10 PSN price tag.

Given the garbage most fans have had to go through in recent years, including one luke-warm Aliens vs Predator movie, and the lack of any kind of game attention since Concrete Jungle, AvP is a welcome addition to the series. Yes, its not an A-List game by any stretch of the imagination, but it is still extremely fun for what it is.

While some may pass this off as a quick and dirty cash-in on the part of Sega, the Wii is natural fit for Samba. Fans of the original game will dig the new content, while newcomers will enjoy the far more casual approach to rhythm gaming. If you can muscle your way past some of the control issues on the higher levels, you’ll find a great family title that’s enjoyable for both the kids and adults, which is rare.
