When it all comes down to it, these are without a doubt the best versions of these two fighting classics to date. Improved visuals, online play, and other tiny but sweet details make Marvel Vs. Capcom Origins fulfilling as a package. However, the same amount of praise can't exactly be said about the games themselves.

I won't lie. If Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars was simply known as Shadow Wars, I highly doubt someone would pick it up. Still, the offering is quite giving, deep and challenging enough to keep strategy gamers busy for a while.

If you are a fan of Excitetruck for the Nintendo Wii then this is a no brainer must buy for you and if you are unfamiliar with the Excite series, this is simply the best off road arcade action racing game out there, including those on the other two consoles. If you own a Wii, then you should own this.

Once you get past the issues stemming from the camera and the typically bland combat system, this edition of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is a worthy title for your Wii collection.

I whole-heartedly believe that anyone with even a passing interest in the brawling genre, or the Japanses criminal underworld should pick this game up. It’s a beacon, a light in a sea of mediocre. Seriously, one of the best PS2 games to come out in a very long time.

Bringing the Blue Bomber out of his 12 year retirement proves to be a great move. This game will have old school gamers remembering the "good ol’ days". A definite must-have for 2D platformer fans, who are up for a challenge.

All Stars isn’t an overly ambitious racing game and won’t turn the kart racing genre on its head. It has some minor framerate issues and the varied character selection is at odds with the less varied bevy of tracks. You won’t see this game fly off the shelves as fast as anything with the ’Mario Kart’ name on it, but if you are a fan of kart racing to any degree, you’ll find something immediately appealing in what’s offered here.

It’s hard to understand what happened this year. While the developers have been able to successfully incorporate so many new features into Madden 09 and NHL 09, the same winning recipe can’t be found on NBA Live 09. Nonetheless, fans of the franchise will find fit to their shoe on what we can label as a good NBA Live game but not the best we’ve seen.

Shank 2 is a sequel worth looking at, especially for those of you who've already spent some quality time with the former hitman.

While some of the changes are questionable and some might blame Namco for not taking the "if it isn't broken, don't fix it" approach, this remains a welcome new entry that will give another boost to the fighting genre.

Regardless of how may iterations of Final Fantasy IV you have played over the years, this one lives up to its namesake. It is indeed the most complete collection of the Final Fantasy IV experience that has been released yet.

Call of Juarez Bound in Blood has one of the best Western FPS games period with one of the grittiest story lines this side of a Clint Eastwood movie. With its solid graphics and audio mixed with the outstanding gameplay this is one of the best action games for the hot summer nights.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 is definitely showing signs of improvement over the stagnation of the last few years. There is still a lot more that needs to be done before it can even attempt to take back the soccer-video game crown, but it's not an impossible feat.

Final Fight: Double Impact is well worth the $10 investment. You’re getting two decent games who’s gameplay holds up well to the test of time. If you’re a fan of either game, love button-mashers, or just want to relive the feel of playing games in arcades, you can’t go wrong with this one.

Dungeon Defenders is an easy one to recommend and slides in to the 'can't miss' category, right next to some of the AAA titles we have hitting store shelves in the coming weeks. Except this one you don't have to get up off your couch to get.

Story mode might not bring much to the table, and the lack of proper tutorials might make this game a little bit intimidating to some but with tight gameplay mechanics, a ton of content to keep you busy for a long time and a working online mode, this game easily obtains its "must-play" status for all fans of fighting games in general.

Söldner-X 2: Final Prototype is certainly an improvement on the original thanks to the focus on allowing new players the opportunity to still have a fun experience. At the same time, the inclusion of challenges and putting an emphasis on collection in order to experience the complete single player campaign will keep the hardcore occupied for a while.

The single player game is well done and the co-op/multiplayer game is a nice treat in this age of pointless multiplayer action experiences we are bombarded with on an almost daily basis. But in the long run this game is not one I can see playing for more than a couple of weeks until the next game comes out that will keep my attention for a longer period of time. I have to say this is only a buy if you must; it actually is more of a rental.
