For a game that Activision have said they want to stand on its own, it just doesn’t seem to change the formula enough to make it appeal to people who’ve played other games in the series. At least not yet, anyway. Really, this is just a gussied-up track pack for the casual market. That’s not to say that it isn’t a fun experience, it’s just certainly not a new one.- GameFocus

A great addition for someone who plays musical games regularly, especially for that music game junkie that has downloaded every single track out of the Music Store and wants to expand its Rock Band DLC library even more. But, if you're looking to experience Green Day's career vicariously through this game, you may be left a bit disappointed.- GameFocus

Aion is very close to being a perfect example of the current idea of how a fantasy based MMO should be implemented. I would even suggest Aion might be the climax of the typical design elements of the genre. There was room for 1 more player in fantasy based MMO’s (as long as they were a major player) and Aion has taken up that spot, and definitely pushed some competitors out of the picture by doing so.- GameFocus

Not quite ready for the World Series, MLB 2K10 at least makes the playoffs this year. Visual Concepts are turning the series around slowly but there’s still a lot of work left to do.- GameFocus

One of my favorite World War Two video games on any system, if the couple of glitches were fixed it would be my favorite over Call of Duty on the PC. But for your home console, buy this great game and enjoy it. Hopefully they are working hard (after a vacation) on Brothers in Arms: Battle of the Bulge which is the last big fight the 101st was part of in World War 2.- GameFocus

Whether you’re a parent looking for a family friendly game that young kids can enjoy and play without much help or a Batman fan who always wanted to run around as a the caped crusader; the game doesn’t miss on any mark. For anyone who found LEGO Indiana Jones frustrating, this is a must buy.- GameFocus

It is a bit odd that Reflex was released two years after the fact. With so many people already playing Modern Warfare 2, it probably would have been beneficial to simply do a Wii edition of that rather than bringing back the first. Once you get past the controls, you will be pleasantly surprised as to how well the game has transitioned to the Wii. If you missed out the first time around or have a strong love of the original, you should definitely give it a try.- GameFocus

The original Puzzle Quest set the bar so high for Galactrix it is almost unfair to compare the two but in the end you must. If you can get past the “dumbed” down gameplay this is actually a fun and lengthy worthwhile gaming experience which most puzzle fans and Role Playing Gamers will enjoy. If I had to recommend the Windows PC or Xbox Live Arcade version of the game I would say go with the Xbox Live Arcade version because it just feels better and seems to be more fun for me even the second time through the game.- GameFocus

DeathSmiles is a tough game to recommend. Not because it's bad though. It's great, for the market it's targeting. However, that market is pretty niche these days. If you don't fit in the SHMUP demographic, there is no compelling reason to add DeathSmiles to your game library.- GameFocus

This first game is a good start. For their first go at making their own game, I’m impressed. Does it have some flaws, sure. I might be called greedy for asking for more, but MORE!- GameFocus

Tales from Space - About a Blob isn't a bad game, it's just not a very good game either. The indecisiveness on what it wants to be is what will distract most people.- GameFocus

While it won’t win huge awards, this new and improved version of a forgotten classic comes in a time where Nintendo fans are patiently waiting for the return of their favourite pink-puffed character. Fear not, this addictive game will not only keep you busy until a true new Kirby arrives but will also make you regret not playing it twelve years ago.- GameFocus

Back in May, Sony delivered the best SingStar experience ever and sent a clear message to its competitors. But here, it regresses. Sure, it’s maybe good thing for those who haven’t bought the first game but I just don’t understand why, a person like me who downloaded some songs out of the SingStar Store, would buy this one with no noteworthy options like Trophies, Online Multiplayer or a track ripping system a la Rock Band 2 for those who don’t download premium tracks. Don’t get wrong though, this game remains a cool game, it’s just that I expected more.- GameFocus

It seems the CGI wizards at Square Enix hit another home run with the game and while the amount of CGI is actually much lower then what most Final Fantasy veterans will be used to, they will find what we do have is excellent.- GameFocus

One of the more powerful story based quests we have seen out of the Fallout 3 experience it makes me wonder how great the third and potentially final expansion, called Broken Steel, will be for this epic game. Must buy for all Fallout 3 owners (well PC and 360 owners) and is easily worth every penny.- GameFocus

If you've been away from the franchise because your PC is no longer the gaming platform it once was, dropping real-life Simoleons for this one wouldn't be a total waste. Mind you, the definitive Sims 3 experience remains on PC, but this is easily a solid alternative.- GameFocus

Toy Story 3 isn't the best game out there and is far from being flawless. However, in the realm of movie licensed titles and family games in general, this one deserves the opening of your wallet.- GameFocus

Lode Runner is a faithful and well constructed platform puzzler remake. It retains the fun, speed, and poor AI of the original while injecting some life into it with new obstacles. It really is a lot of fun and there is a lot of gameplay to be enjoyed on your own or online.- GameFocus

If Prejudice was only a multiplayer or a single-player affair, it wouldn't be much to talk about, especially considering the short campaign. The fact that it offers both does give some solace, coupled by the more-than-reasonable fifteen dollar asking price.- GameFocus

Being their "first true big project", Beenox successfully pulled off what seemed to be an impossible task for many of us within the game industry. Just like Madden NFL 11 before it, NHL Slapshot is yet another example that great things can be accomplished on the Wii if the desire to deliver a faithful and respectful product is truly present. Of course, this won't make you buy it over NHL 11, but if you are a hockey fan and the latest games from 2K weren't what you truly wanted, this game is worth your attention.- GameFocus

Red Orchestra 2 is a fickle monster. On the one hand, the innovative gameplay and close attention to realism and detail give this release tons of potential. Unfortunately, the amount of bugs present coupled with the most clueless AI we've seen in awhile takes away a lot from what this game has to offer.- GameFocus

Age of Booty is an addicting RTS that while simple to grasp; it has enough to offer hardcore gamers. The single-player mode is hurt by uncooperative AI teammates but the online multiplayer more than makes up for this. Age of Booty is a winner for anyone who enjoys the RTS genre or always wanted to try it.- GameFocus

Battlestations: Midway was a surprise hit and is still one of my favorite console games. It is a short experience and was easy for the most part and it also failed to finish the fight as it were. Battlestations: Pacific fixes much of the complaints from the first one and brings World War 2 home once again for arm chair generals.- GameFocus

Fright of the Bumble Bees is an interesting start to the series and should be evident that the following three episodes will satisfy adventure gamers. This game is not strictly for fans of the series and may end up turning some people into one. Hardcore adventure gamers might not find this game to be much of a challenge, but people looking for a game that will entertain them or their family members for a few hours will certainly enjoy the puzzles and humor from start to finish.- GameFocus

If you played the first Scene It? game last year, you will find this sequel worth picking up simply because of the addition of the multiplayer mode over Xbox Live and the promise of new questions through downloadable content. But frankly, I was expecting more of it. Sure the improved visuals bring something interesting to the table but after seeing what Sony was able to pull off with Buzz! on the PS3, this Scene It sequel feels not as complete as it should.- GameFocus

If you enjoy strategy gaming, then Nobunaga’s Ambition is one of those games you should own on your PS2/PS3. The game is very deep and involved and one of those series you can play for months and still enjoy it just like it is a brand new game. This is a must buy for fans of the series and a rental for everyone else who is looking for something new.- GameFocus
