Looking at Rock Band Unplugged as a music game, it is absolutely incredible. Looking at it as a Rock Band title, it feels like it could have been so much more. You will certainly get a lot of joy and challenge playing through the game on your own, but when you will be craving some interaction with friends, you will return to the console versions.

This review does not tell you much about the game because if I started talking about it I would spoil the experience for you. Unlike all other reviews (at least so far) where you can talk about key features or experiences if I did that it would be wrong. What I can say is that The Path is an experience of exploration and emotion. You should enjoy the game in small doses and not rush your way through because it is a slow experience but a wildly artistic one.

Nintendo has a long way to go before it can compete with the likes of Bioshock in the storytelling department, but despite its missteps, this is a great first attempt by the company to hone those skills.

I love(d) the Banjo-Kazooie series for years and they were the best reason to keep your N64 around for many gamers. But while this new Banjo-Kazooie title is one game I liked, I found it to be a bit boring to play at times and it honestly lacks or feels that it lacks a true identity to be either a game for kids or for adult gamers. Highly recommend it as a rental, but make sure this is a game for you before buying.

There's plenty of room for growth and improvement, but EA has a solid, well varied and quite fun first title. If you are not loyal to the UFC brand, or maybe just sick of how saturated the market is with the premiere mixed-martial arts league, EA Sports MMA is a viable alternative to THQ's dominate franchise.

Scribblenauts is one of those games that no matter how the visuals and sounds are, if the gameplay delivers, everything will be fine. Although it has several issues with the controls due to an over-sensitive touch screen, the game’s imaginative and funny nature isn’t hugely affected. In the end, you won’t regret the purchase.

It might be less friendly as far as the controls are concerned than its closest competitor, but it's gorgeous, full-featured and worth every penny invested. A must have among all 3DS titles currently available in stores.

While there is quite a bit of short-term fun here, I can't see it lasting with the less-dedicated players unless Uber takes advantage of their update system and provides a continuous flow of changes to keep things interesting.

NHL 2K10 is the most complete sports package on the Wii. While it may take some time to get the nuances of the controls down, this is the most satisfying version of the game on offer. Forget HD, this is all about gameplay, and it delivers.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron may just be the game you need to end your summer with a big, loud bang. I absolutely enjoyed playing through Cuboid. Once you get started, don’t be surprised if you lose track of time or want to replay certain mazes because you know you can complete it in less moves. The game is challenging but you’ll never feel cheated. So, if you are looking for a fun game that will test you and stimulate your brain, then you cannot go wrong with giving Cuboid a try.

Orcs Must Die! is one of those rare games that arrived exactly as promised. It's a fun tower defense romp with a twist, and plenty of strategy to keep the brain-gears spinning, nothing more and nothing less.

As an avid player of the franchise since it first arrived on the Playstation 3, having the possibility to bring the home experience with me anywhere was certainly interesting but I wasn’t expecting it to be this great.

There are so many good things in DeathSpank; the amount of loot collecting (and bacon), quests to complete (and bacon), and fantastic look and feel of the world make up for any shortcomings and give a lot of value and enjoyment (and did I mention this game has bacon in it?). If you're a fan of action-RPGs, you will not be disappointed, and those looking for a game that will bring them into the genre need look no further than DeathSpank.

While we still might be in need of an injection in the J-RPG landscape, it is nice to see one that does stand on its own instead simply being a generic wannabe that is a blatant cut and paste of past glory.

Prototype is one of those games that starts out with some horribly boring gaming and seems to take too long (1-1.5 hrs) to get anywhere. But once the game opens up and you can free roam, do missions and the like you begin to see how wonderfully brilliant the destructive gameplay is and as you build up your powers to amazing heights allowing you to do more destruction the game is amazing and satisfying. This is a must buy for action fans.

Driver: San Francisco puts the franchise back on the map. It's fun, innovative, expansive, exhilarating and has a lot of things to do. The single player is great, aside from the simple and sloppy storyline. But the innovative Shifting mechanics, the cars and the city itself will keep you on the couch for quite some time.

This is without a doubt the most enjoyment I have had with an online-focused game in a long time and cannot wait to go back and play some more. There is something for everyone and it will not take you long to get accustomed to the controls and be essential on the battlefield. It might only be August, but what we have here is by far the best downloadable game of the year and one that should not be missed.

If you take XIII-2 and grade it on its own merits, it stands out as a fantastic game. But, if you walk in looking for some semblance of what made the series a household name in the RPG world, you'll be sorely disappointed.
