Basketball gamers know what they want and it seems like the step back taken by EA Canada last year is making sense this year. Improving on last year’s new features, refining the gameplay mechanics, not adding anything major and removing what wasn’t necessary, it resumes what NBA Live 10 is. Fans of the franchise will certainly love this year’s game and basketball gamers in general will spend a few quality hours with it.- GameFocus

With the super-long story, tons of side-quests and 4 character classes to choose from plus the multiplayer component, 3 different difficulty settings and the ability to play any of the mini-games independently of the main story, Puzzle Quest 2 offers a virtual truckload of gameplay for your 1200MP. In the end, the main question is whether or not the magically addictive spirit of the first game is still here. The answer is a resounding "YES!"- GameFocus

I never would have expected such as basic game as “Tower Defense” to be given such a great make over with some gameplay tweaks and be such a worth while and addictive game. While you can play a very basic version of this type of game on thousands of websites, if you enjoy playing them this is the only commercial one that is worth your gaming dollar.- GameFocus

Ubisoft Montréal took an enormous risk by taking a whole new direction with this new Prince of Persia. Although the final product could have included greater difficulty and more emphasis on combat for the non-casual crowd; we can safely say that the risk was indeed worth it.- GameFocus

More round-types, more characters and more questions could have been added and it would have been a better game. But what you have here is more than enough to last you and your pals until the next Buzz! iteration, which I now expect will be even better than this one. Xbox 360 users might have 1 vs 100 but Playstation 3 users have their own King of Quizzes. Hail to the Buzz!- GameFocus

This game is massively superior to "World of Warcraft" and "Lord of the Rings Online" and other current high rated MMORPG’s in many ways and should be a game to pull players of all types to it if they are willing to give it a chance.- GameFocus

With a great story and some fun classic game play as well as the new wonderful graphic updates to this classic RPG, make it a worthy single player title. The multiplayer side of things has a ton of potential if you have a few friends with the game you will have a blast for a very long time. For RPG fans this is a great title.- GameFocus

Tekken 6 is a great package and, while it doesn’t make any huge innovative leaps, the Tekken series remains one of the best 3D fighters on the market today.- GameFocus

THQ and Codeglue have got a winner on their hands. Rocket Riot is a very stylized, 3D rendered, 2D side view shooter that is fast, furious, doesn’t take itself too seriously and is just simply a hell of a lot of fun to play.- GameFocus

Anomaly: Warzone Earth is seriously a great value at $10. You will get more time and enjoyment out of this fun and addictive budget title than you will likely have gotten from many full retail priced games.- GameFocus

Smackdown vs. Raw 2010 is the definitive wrestling title of this generation, so far. This is what WWE fans have wanted for near a decade now, and THQ and Yukes have delivered far beyond the usual yearly updates. A must have for anyone with even a passing interest in the world of WWE.- GameFocus

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 is a solid addition to the long running series. The great amount of options both online and off will suffice any golfing fan for a long period of time. Out of everything available in this year’s edition, the ‘Play The Pros’ will be the one mode that Golfing fans will go back to time and time again during the course of the season.- GameFocus

I was worried when Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood came out just a year after Assassin's Creed II. Fortunately, Brotherhood had enough going right for it that the yearlong development cycle didn't hurt the franchise. Though I doubt the lack of innovations in Revelations is going to damage the Assassin's Creed series, I definitely feel burned by Ubisoft on this one.- GameFocus

Osmos is a very good game in its class. The music, the idea and gameplay and pleasing graphics all make this a complete package for any fan of ambient/casual games. Considering the price point is reasonable, and there is a decent amount of replay value, Osmos is a good option to buy and enjoy.- GameFocus

More accessible and way more interesting than its predecessor, Wii Sports Resort isn’t only the best compilation of mini-games to be offered on the Wii console in a while but also a great way to display what the Wii Motion Plus accessory can do. However, keep in mind that the real fun of Wii Sports Resort will come out when you play in groups. If you like playing solo, this might not be the best game for you.- GameFocus

For those who have been hoping for an incredible flying game to play on their home consoles, the wait is over. The variable controls, the authenticity and the sheer enjoyment of taking down Axis planes is something that everyone can enjoy. From top to bottom, IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey is an absolutely incredible journey and certainly one of the biggest surprises of the year; don’t hold back, pick this one up.- GameFocus

Year after year, the NCAA Football franchise has been improving to a point where it can no longer be seen as “Madden’s Little Brother” or a simple NFL Football appetizer game. NCAA Football 09 was certainly one of the most interesting titles in the franchise but NCAA Football 10 has now surpassed it. It still has a few minor annoyances but overall, this year’s game is worth checking out.- GameFocus

We have come a long way with side scrollers since the days of Super Mario Brothers and Contra. Trine is a visual treat; the puzzles are a challenge and the characters all have fun elements to their play. While it might be a little overpriced on PC, if you own a Playstation 3 it would be a great addition to your downloadable games collection!- GameFocus
