Fun, diversified, generous and also technical, Golf Story synthesizes two great gameplay types to deliver a love story between golf and classic RPGs. With great dialogue and a hardy direction, the game offers a decent amount of courses, even though it may lack some real challenge in the end.

Blue Reflection, which has some strong artistic assets, can be an entertaining game for RPG newcomers or players who are not afraid of redundancy. It could have been a really good J-RPG for everyone, but it's tough to figure out who its audience is.

Ruiner offers a particularly demanding gameplay, with very cool gun fights that will surely satisfy hardcore twin stick shooter fans. Unfortunately, the visuals are very repetitive, and the story is nearly as much absent as the multiplayer mode.

Picross S is a lazy version of Picross that offers nothing new compared to the 3DS versions, doesn't use the Switch properly, offers the same pictures in its two modes and offers very little with the multiplayer mode. Better try it on 3DS.

Forza Motorsport 7 is a very, very good racing game, providing absolutely brilliant driving sensations and superb graphics, but it still suffers some issues and a certain lack of originality and new ideas.

A Hat in Time is such a pleasant surprise. Hilarious and full of bright ideas, inspired and playing like a classic - even if the camera can't be tamed-, this 3D platformer has been made for all of those who feel nostalgic about best games of the genre like Super Mario 64 or Banjo-Kazooie. And is clearly essential to them.

The Pact is an interesting follow-up to "The Enigma." Even though this second episode doesn't change the game's formula, it showcases a side of Bruce Wayne Batman fans haven't seen before in video games. The new Harley Quinn-Joker dynamic is also pretty interesting.

Shadow of War offers probably one of the most interesting open world systems. Very deep and intelligent, it's a true living world around us and the nemesis system is still brilliant. Sadly we still have some issues from the first game, like muddled combats and crazy difficulty at certain moments. Also, a fan of Tolkien can find plenty of mistakes in the game.

Carried by the Layton family's experience in mystery, Katrielle starts her detective career with modern resolutions, such as the episodic investigation proceedings. But the cases and their protagonists ultimately lack depth, while the whole plot looks like a long introduction. The puzzles and mini games also appear less inspired, or bold, since Kat solves the most relevant riddles by herself anyway. Let's hope that she's keeping more tricks in her hat for the upcoming adventures.

Bowser's Minions were not the reinforcements expected for Mario & Luigi, but such pugnacious tactical digression strengthens the hilarious narrative as well as the whole adventure, while the astonishing amount of content and gameplay improvements make this completely overhauled Superstar Saga even more shining.

Resident Evil Revelations offers a good port of the original game. The game now has a solid 1080p/60fps and some bonuses in Raid mode. That being said, if you have already played it, the purchase is highly dispensable.

Battle Chasers: Nightwar ends up being a solid RPG with some deep combat systems and interesting components, in a lovely universe. But beware of the fact that it needs you to grind a lot, and so accept redundancy and a few huge breaks in the progression, and that some crashing issues and bugs can truly poison your experience on PS4.

Cuphead is a brilliant homage to the run and gun genre as much as it is to the 30's cartoons. This retro experience is a though challenge that will reveal its true potential only to those brave enough to endure thousands of deaths by the minute. Cuphead is not accessible to everyone, and it is fine like this. Beautiful and diversified as any other, Cuphead is such a rewarding game; it reminds us the true taste of victory.

Don't hope for the same game you can can encounter on PS4 or Xbox One. The Switch version of FIFA 18 is a pleasant but a bit dated one that, despite some embarrassing flaws (keepers, especially), has to be considered as an excellent choice for a handeld experience, single or with a friend.

With such fundamental narrative additions and rich locations to discover, Psychic Specters is undoubtedly the most complete, accomplished version of Yo-Kai Watch 2, underlining its role of Japanese culture's ambassador at the same time. Yet considering the substantial updates released for Bony Spirits and Fleshy Souls, the decision to get this definitive edition will not only depend on what you possess, but will also reveal if your are possessed by Level-5's wicked franchise.

There are not many superlatives that does not stick to Danganronpa V3 : Killing Harmony. This third installment in the series is more extreme, more meta, more amazing in its storyline, even if the core gameplay suffers from reals changes to surprise the old students. Unless the visual novel genre or its Japanese style makes you want to run away, Danganronpa V3 : Killing Harmony is worth the school trip.

Total War: Warhammer II is not a new game but an extension. Very good mechanics and very good AI, but not enough content to call it as a NEW game. Despite that, when Warhammer III will be released, the three games will probably be the best Total War never made.

Definitely solid in terms of presentation and game modes, even though The Journey is still far from perfect, FIFA 18 sadly feels like a FIFA 17.5 with a lot of emphasis on attack - which can please a lot of players but not those who are looking for something fresh and some football games with a realistic pace.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for Nintendo Switch is a totally serviceable port of the original game released on PS4/Xbox One/PC. Even if the game's visuals take a hit on Nintendo's console, the fact that you can now take Xenoverse 2 everywhere with you is a big plus. If you have the Switch, like Dragon Ball Z and missed Xenoverse 2's original release, you could do a lot worse than to give the game a shot.

The best series of sports video games comes back this year in nice wrapping paper full of promises. This episode is an instant pleasure as well as a guaranteed immersion. With a solid length and a tough challenge, it will speak to both basketball aficionados who will be thrilled to welcome back the series, but also to newcomers who might want to join in. This strong basis might give us a perfect hypothetical follow-up which might correct the few Career Mode imperfections.

Death of the Outsider is a superb way of closing the parenthesis of the Dishonored saga. By giving the player new powers to play with, Arkane forces us to redefine the way we play the series. As usual, each level offers multiple possibilities, but this time the lethal of pacifist approach does not change the world we live in.
