Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition is still a very good game, with graphics enhancements for PS5 and Xbox Series X and a few bonuses modes for the fans.

With Assasin's Creed Valhalla, Ubisoft tries to synthesize a decade-long series, thanks to clever adjustments on its RPG rhythm. With a brilliant lightning, the game visually stands out, but sometimes fail to really follow on its technical part, with messy AI and way too many loading times which can break the momentum of the adventure. Rich, dense, but also time-consuming, Assassin's Creed Valhalla still offers a good run, thanks to its historical setting and beautiful landscapes.

Astro's Playroom is a truly adorable and joyful platformer. Even if a bit short and not very difficult, it shows the potential of the DualSense as we go through some lovely levels with some funny ideas and a lot to remember about the whole PlayStation brand. Definitely worth your time.

Marvel's Spider-Man Miles Morales is a fantastic way to extend the original game, with the same strengths and weaknesses. This game is not already using the full potential of PS5, but it still is a great adventure that will totally conquer fans of Spider-Man with its universe, pretty good ideas and soundtrack.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered is as good as the original was - with all its post-launch content. But it feels more like a lazy port than a proper remaster of this racing game that you can, of course, still enjoy on Nintendo Switch.

Spelunky 2 is a divisive game. A masterpiece for those who swear by the reward at the end of their suffering, it will be painful and boring for those who want a fulfilling and contemporary experience. Even more difficult than the first game, it is undoubtedly frustrating because of its lack of pedagogy and progressiveness. Even for a game that wants to be difficult, the shock will be rough from the beginning.

As the Yakuza franchise is still trying to become a household franchise in the West, the Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio decided to flip the switch and create a turn-based RPG. The result of that experiment, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, is a resounding success. The "dynamic RPG" gameplay fits the Yakuza universe and tropes like a glove and its mechanics are surprisingly deep. And the fact that the game's new characters are lovable doesn't hurt. The turn-based gameplay will probably put off some gamers but Yakuza: Like a Dragon truly deserves a shot. The Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio made the JRPG genre proud.

An uproarious, fine, original and as a whole catchy experience that seems out of this world, where HAL Laboratory's stellar creations definitely belong.

If Mario Kart Live Home Circuit plays well and feels fresh it also has some awkward limitations. First, the connection between the kart and your Switch is too short. Then, if you live in a small flat, it's complicated. Finally, if you plan to play with other people, you have to buy another complete set, as there are no individual karts for sale.

The Dark Pictures: Little Hope is the most successful Supermassive studio's Game. The themes and the cast are more interesting than usual, and the moment with Little Hope is pretty pleasant.

Beyond the poetic eloquence of such delicate handmade animation and moving musical compositions, the main tour de force is hidden into the puzzles that subtly reflect the story's themes. A modest, yet humbling luminous piece of art.

As fun and refreshing as it was on the original Wii U, Pikmin 3 Deluxe offers a second chance to a very good strategy game. Despite the loss of a second screen, this Switch port add many extras, like an entire bonus arc with well tied challenges, but also very interesting difficulty modes.

Watch Dogs Legion is a pleasant game with some interesting ideas. The fact you can play so many characters feels great and offers a lot of opportunities. Too bad it is not very solid technically and that some mechanics are too similar to those of previous episodes.

Ghostrunner is a very pleasant surprise for anyone who likes to keep gameplay at the center of their experience - to the detriment of the narrative side. Accurate in 99% of cases, it challenges both your sagacity and your reflexes. Those are what you will need to sharpen in order to be able to improve your scores on your second run and to benefit from all the capacities of your character. If you like Super Meat Boy and/or Mirror's Edge and adhere to the Cyberpunk worlds, don't miss Ghostrunner.

As expected, ScourgeBringer is a well-balanced and dynamic Rogue-lite. Thanks to a fast-paced action and a complete set of moves, Kyhra's adventure through this sometime repetitive but nervous environment makes us want to go for another run almost every time.

Amnesia: Rebirth is, despite its name, a new episode into the saga. We follow Tasie, lost in the desert after a crash plane, looking for the other survivors and it's a true pleasure to live its story, very well written, even if some gameplay mechanics feel quite outdated.

Ricky Haggett's I Am Dead offers a nice walk on a fictional island through the eyes of the recently deceased Morris Lupton, hoping to find a new Keeper to prevent a volcan's eruption. With it's dog Sparky and a clever mechanic of zooming into almost every item, house or people you can see, I Am Dead is a short but relaxing puzzle-adventure. We simply hoped the extra challenge was more rewarding.

Reconnecting with feelings that have gone out of fashion, Art of Rally is a welcome entertainment at a time games are more and more complex and dense. Just like kart racing, it offers quick handling and good sensations. Without second thoughts, we drive and we learn to adapt to the different cars it offers. In addition, it is perfect for small PC configurations.

Did Milestone want to release his Ride 4 absolutely before the end of the year in order to finish the PS4 / Xbox One cycle? No one will probably have the answer in the near future. Still, if the game is improving well on technical aspects (graphics, modeling and AI) it has lost all the mood that its previous opus had managed to generate. It is now a game of motorcycles on circuits that merges into the category.

FIFA 21 is not bad but it does not innovate at all the recipe initiated by FIFA 20. Very focused on the attack, the defense suffers from a significant imbalance, leaving the open door to matches filled with goals. It is a transitional opus, leaving known bases so as not to upset the players and thus draw great novelties for FIFA 22.

We thought that Crash Bnadicoot would never be the same iconic character he once was: we were wrong. This fourth episode brings back every foundation of the series, twisting it with the brand new quantum masks mechanics, to deliver a strong, rich, colorful and demanding entry to the series. Rooted in the late 90's, Crash just need to discard its old precision issues to compete with the big ones of the beloved platform genre.

The Walking Dead Onslaught is definitely not as good as Saints & Sinners. This VR experience, taking place in the TV show's universe feels outdated, characters share the same moves, story is not that interesting, the whole game is too easy and repetitive. Rick, Daryl, Michonne, Carol cannot save it, sadly.

Especially if you know and love the original game, Mafia Definitive Edition is pure joy. We follow the adventures of Tommy Angelo like we would follow those of a character of a good move form Coppola. Beyond nostalgia, we take part in a wonderful gangster story. Despite every issue the game suffers at the moment (random freezes, crashes...) and some terrible optimizations on PC and PS4, it's still a captivating game, but it's hard to ignore its flaws.

WRC 9 feels more like a big update than a deep evolution of the series. It is a little and already a lot because the game has sufficient quality to justify its purchase. As long as you are already a fan of the discipline. Either way you don't really have a choice if you want to drive in a virtual WRC championship.

Tennis World Tour 2 may look like a simple update, but proves to be a really deep overhaul, both from a qualitative and quantitative point of view. That translates into a much punchier feel with a more authentic rendering overall, thanks to a subtle management of timing and faults. While some lingering assistance still generates imprecision, filling such loopholes surely belongs to Big Ant's work. The Australian studio thus shaped the best tennis simulation on current consoles at least, because of far more experienced competitors on PC. Hence Nacon can develop legitimate eSports ambitions, as long as it stands away from balance or greedy issues through an artificial cards system for instance.
