Without changing the basic principle mixing rythm game and strategy game, Patapon 3 introduces some new things and some tweaks that will appeal to both the newcomers and the others. With 4 characters rather than a mass of Patapons to control, and a revised progression system to go accordingly, the tactical aspect of the game ventures to new horizons, while remaining efficient. It's still a demanding game, sometimes unfairly difficult, but also more accessible (by displaying the rythm combos at the bottom of the screen) - a progress for some, a shortcoming for others. Overall, it's still as enticing as ever thanks to a spot-on design, and muscis on cannot get out of his head by simply turning the power off.- Gameblog.fr

On Kinect, Michael Jackson : The Experience enjoys a wealth of new features that make it even more fun and pleasant for the fans. This time, you appear directly on the stage, right besides the other dancers. You can dance, sing, enjoy better quality visuals, some additional tracks... too bad that the voice recognition is so lenient in the karaoke stages, but even more disappointing is the fact you can't play with friends like on the Wii version! If you're a King of Pop fan, don't hesitate too much, though : the track list is still brilliant, and the fun remains.- Gameblog.fr

It's in the long run that this Namco title reveals it appeal, with its own world and gameplay, especially the use of its God Arc. Both deep and fun to play, it has enough to charm some of the genre's aficionados, even though the Monster Hunter games remain the undisputed champions of this category.- Gameblog.fr

After its triumph on the Nintendo DS, Kawashima is back with new exercices to train not only your brain, but your body as well. Exclusively playable with Kinect, the title is well designed, provides a nice variety of smart mini-games to train reflexes and coordination. There's also a multiplayer mode (up to 4 players, but only 2 at the same time), and provided that you have the room to use it, Kinect responds well. But despite all these qualities, one will still review all there is to see quite quickly. With a lower price, it would have been more in line with the offer.- Gameblog.fr

Despite some shortcomings, this Pendulo title manages to keep the pressure up from start to finish. Its odd characters are charming, its puzzles sometimes devious but overall its a very accessible title, blessed by quality dialogs... All in all The Next BIG thing has everything to please. We're still sorry it's too easy and rather short. But it's a very satisfying adventure, on par with the greatest titles of the point'n click genre.- Gameblog.fr

Islands of Wakfu, for a first game of Ankama Play, doesn't lack generosity, nor qualities. Its richness encompasses several gameplay mechanics, a lot of old school 2D games references, fresh ideas, and high production values with superb 2D visuals. Sadly, its gameplay is also far to rough on the edges, and more importantly hurt by a difficulty level that is poorly balanced. A lot of gamers will probably surrender before completing it because of that, a few will love to overcome those challenges, but all of them would have gained much by discovering such a title, if only it could have gotten rid of those shortcomings.- Gameblog.fr

Sherlock Holmes and the Mystery of the Osbourne House could have been better if the puzzles weren't so simple and if its adventure was longer, with a deeper story. But it's an easily played, easily forgotten 40 euros game, without anything quite worth remembering. One cannot be Professor Layton just by wishing it.- Gameblog.fr

Moon Diver is a game from another time. More a sibling of Strider 2, with whom it shares it creator Koichi Yotsui, than a successor, it has the same qualities. New elements like 4 player play and a magic system are thrown un a 90's design, both visually and gameplay-wise. So it's hard for it to feel like a 2011 game; which may very well be both its main strength and weakness. Superplayers will enjoy its skill requirements, others won't find enough in there for them to pay its 15 dollars.- Gameblog.fr

Samurai Warriors Chronicles is a good Mûso. It provides its share of new features, and is also better structured and paced than the previous ones. The fans of the genre will probably like it a lot, but it still not a sufficient effort to charm the others, especially since the 3D isn't much more than a gimmick on such a formula.- Gameblog.fr

WWE All Stars is indeed much more of a caricature than Smackdown vs Raw is, but it's for the better: most of it is fun-oriented, the gameplay is dynamic and the return of old stars of the WWF is most definitely a plus. But if humor and grandeur were the orientation for the game, they could still have done more in that direction, like including crazy game modes, or an even simpler, immediately fun gameplay. It feels a little shy in that respect, compared to our imagination, but its a new franchise that we'll keep an eye on.- Gameblog.fr

Even though one could argue that Namco played the recycling card for most of the content of this new Ridge Racer and probably didn't push the hardware that much in terms of visuals, the game remains fun to play and true to its promise. With its 100% arcade gameplay, a steady and fast frame rate, and the 3D effect that really pushes the immersion further, and a lot of content, those who like the series can't miss this iteration, even though it remains a little repetitive in the long run.- Gameblog.fr

Cities in Motion is a game about the edification and management of public transportation in four major european cities. The management side is not so easy, and you will have to master the different elements of the game in order to avoid bankruptcy. In terms of creation, CiM could have been a little more enjoyable in terms of controls, and visuals. For 20 euros, it still can fulfill the needs of the fans, until a more ambitious titles arises.- Gameblog.fr

Inspired by the success of Monster Hunter, Dragon Quest IX and the like, Naruto enters the realm of multiplayer play and characters customization. An enticing idea, but its execution is failing because of an ordinary gameplay, poor visuals and dull combats.- Gameblog.fr

Trying to fill the expectations of the fans, Duodecim charms and offers even more features than the previous one. Some new things aren't that exceptional, though, and overall, we'd have hoped for more impactful innovations, but in the end, it's still a refreshing combat game, without any challenger in its style of play, gathering all the star characters of Final Fantasy in a visually stunning sequel.- Gameblog.fr

Aya Brea puts its origins to rest in order to provide a third person action title full of thrills, quite dynamic, and appealing. There's also blame to be passed, on the light and not really consistent story for example, a camera system that's not beyond reproach, and a short lifespan, but overall, it does succeed in providing excellent action.- Gameblog.fr

Shift 2 is full of wonders: a unique helmet camera view, immensely immersive, its full of races and cars to customize, it's extensive, visually splendid, and blessed with quite good physics... But sadly, all those pros are spoiled by really crippling shortcomings, preventing it to overcome the two references that are GT and Forza. An annoying AI that continually hits you for no reason, and this even more enraging latency in the steering dynamics. With those two defects corrected, EA would have delivered something truly outstanding.- Gameblog.fr

Combat of Giants : Dinosaurs 3D is all its title immediately suggests : a shoddy game. Even though it's quite likeable thanks to the dinosaurs-in-3D appeal, in termes of gameplay, we're drowning in the primitive soup of gameplay mechanics from which the video games emerged. It's so basic that if you may have fun the 5 first minutes, there's no way it might last beyond that.- Gameblog.fr

Rabbids 3D is a regular 2D platformer in all its classicism. It's so regular and average that it's quickly boring. Monotonous and poorly paced, it's far from being a total wreckage, sure, but it's really nothing to be remembered.- Gameblog.fr

The Reapers' invasion in Mass Effect 3 would have been a lot quicker without Shepard intervention in The Arrival DLC for ME2. This gap-bridging extension is very short, with a so-so story (a meteor with engines, didn't I see that somewhere already ?) and a focus on action, with quite a challenge at times. No interesting moral choice, nothing really fascinating in dialogues... Shepard does its inevitable job once again, and politicians will target him once more. Is that it? We could have done without it.- Gameblog.fr

Delivering its own story, within the original world of the movie, Rango mixes platforming, racing, and action. Rather nice looking and easy to play, the EA game clearly lacks substance, and provides less than 4 hours of gameplay. Hours during which one will easily get bored. It's a game that will probably be best suited for the really young, or really casual.- Gameblog.fr

Pretty, easy-to-play, content-rich, and often funny, LEGO Star Wars III has every trait of a good little game. Nothing out of the ordinary, though, but its concept works, and the variety of the action (mixing platforming and space combat) is refreshing. Its numerous levels deliver a good show in 3D, too bad its frame rate isn't always beyond reproach, that some effects seem to induce visual discomfort, and above all, that the franchise doesn't take much risks to surprise us.- Gameblog.fr

Splinter Cell 3D is a real disappointment on the Nintendo 3DS. Ugly, clumsy, far from being easy to handle and despite that without any sort of challenge, the Ubisoft title has but one quality remaining: being the first stealth-themed title on the 3DS. Is that enough to disregard its defects? Definitely not.- Gameblog.fr

Tomb Raider can't die! After years of erring ways, Lara succeeded in restoring its dignity thanks to the efforts of Crystal Dynamics. Of course, fans will be delighted to find in a single, low-price release the great episodes Anniversary and Underworld (Legend being a little behind), it's first and foremost to all adventure lovers that this trilogy will be appealing, with its substantial life (you can count more than 40 hours of gameplay in there). Lara succeeded in correcting its own shortcomings, and if the fans may disregard this compilation, maybe it's time for the others, those who broke up with Lara years ago, to try and spark their love anew... while we wait for a real reboot.- Gameblog.fr

EA changes its Sims franchise for the better: placed in a consistent universe, with a common goal, each hero of Sims Medieval finds itself in a right and logical spot (which was rarely the case with previous Sims titles). In the end, the Kingdom itself is the main character of the game, and even though the gameplay seems a little repetitive, the middle-ages charm, with a twist of humor and a lot to discover, works well.- Gameblog.fr

Ghost Recon Shadow Wars will not charm you at first glance because of its poor graphics and not-so-impressive 3D effect... But the first missions will be enough to really drag you into this very nice tactical game for hours. Despite a limited AI, the game offers a simple but solid gameplay, quite varied situations, and a consistent campaign (about 25-30 hours long). A very pleasant surprise in this 3DS launch line-up.- Gameblog.fr

A bad game was bound to be released among all the launch titles of the 3DS. Asphalt 3D, even though its seems comprehensive on paper, can't make us stick to the 3D screen. Its production values are so poor, that it seems like it's been a rushed port from previous versions on low spec hardware. If you want to race in 3D with your 3DS, for the time being, favor Ridge Racer.- Gameblog.fr

The original concept of Super Monkey Ball 3D is still pleasant, that's for sure. However, it is impossible to play properly with both the motion gameplay and the 3D activated... Anyway the 3D disturbs more than it helps here. The new Kart and Combat modes are of no help to raise the whole game, which is a bit disapointing at the end.- Gameblog.fr

Yes, this Rayman is not new, it's "only" the 3D remake of a very good old game... but it remains a safe bet! The game is cute, playable, and the magic is still there in this 3DS version. One of the must-have of the 3DS launch line-up.- Gameblog.fr

PixelJunk Shooter 2 builds on the formula of its predecessor, with shooting, puzzles, traps, and a lot of various fluids to play with. The new gameplay mechanics are perfect and with them, Shooter 2, thanks to a well balanced difficulty, is an impeccable action title. Too bad that the multiplayer is but a small bonus, but it's not reason enough not to play the game!- Gameblog.fr

Ghostbuster Sanctum of Slime is a small action coop title based on a single gameplay idea (monsters of a specific color can only be harmed by the same color). But its production value is poor, its story and atmosphere are dull, its levels very repetitive, and human players are mandatory since the AI can't keep up after 3 hours into the game. That's a lot of shortcomings for a single game.- Gameblog.fr
