This HD Remaster of Legend of Mana is a strange experience, somewhere in-between : with beautiful and wide landscapes, and a brilliant musical score, the game also offers some old and sometime repulsive gameplay mechanics, especially for newcomers. Legend of Mana is still a good '90s game, but it clearly needed more reflection to match today's standards.

If this new GoldenEye will not replace the original in the heart of the players, if it is unlikely to be remembered in ten years, this new adventure of 007 still performs brilliantly. The graphics are quite good, the staging is dynamic and offers some nice moments of adrenaline, the multiplayer modes are fun... without reaching the excitement we get the original in 1997, of course, a matter of historical context. Anyway that's solid shooter we have here, and that's good news for the Wii!

It's always a nice feeling to wander across the vast plains and the ominous dungeons of Gransys during a large amount of hours, for the first time on a portable device here. Sadly, the low visuals and the technical issues of the handheld mode are kind of a bummer, the TV experience being as enjoyable as the previous editions of the game.

Joe Danger is far from being a bad game, especially considering its tiny price. But one can't help but being frustrated by the lack of variety the gameplay offers. Its the perfect title for a quick unwinding, but nothing that can compare to a Mario Kart marathon with friends, nor the puzzling stunts of a Trials HD.

To glide from sunup to sundown. Here's the simple, but attractive pitch of Tiny Wings, rising star of the App Store who kicked off Angry Birds from the number one slot of the charts. Its principle is ridiculously simple: press the screen, and your bird will gain momentum. As soon as you let go, it glides. But you'll have to time your presses well with the random hills of the backgrounds in order to go as fast and as far as you can, and to score as much points as possible. But even though those hills are never the same thanks to their randomized generation, it's still becoming repetitive sooner or later; which is the main shortcoming of the game. With some added features, play modes and ideas, it could have been far more magical.

Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth is a charming game, with fantastic pixel art but a too simplisitc and weak Metroidvania, as it doesn't have much to offer to adventurers and feels too much of a very linear rip-off of Castlevania Symphony of the Night that lacks depth and true epic feel.

Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series is the first Oculus game to arrive on PlayStation VR. Divided into 3 episodes of approximately 45 minutes each, it offers an original story located between episodes 4 and 6 of the saga, in the presence of the Sith Lord Dark Vader on the planet Mustafar. On PS4 Pro, the experience displays very nice graphics, of course before the Oculus Rift version but quite similar to that of the Quest. Unfortunately, the teleportation and the angular rotation imposed in an unfair way, also spoil the immersion and some sequences in automatic movement allow to appreciate the environments at their true value. The proximity of the various characters is however pleasant; a handful of force fights are memorable but it all ends far too quickly. A scripted experience that will certainly appeal to die-hard fans of the Star Wars saga, but less so to others as many PS VR games have done much better before it.

Call of Cthulhu is an ode to Lovecraft and fantastic literature, a success in terms of atmosphere with a pleasant artistic part. Sadly, the game is too weak technically speaking. The main quest is interesting but players in search of an RPG with a bit of freedom will probably realize too soon that the game is actually a very linear experience.

On four multiplayer maps, we count a remake from Modern Warfare 2 (still an excellent playground though) and a very boring one. Hopefully, the two others are pretty nice and do the job. The Exo Zombies mission lacks of appeal here, mainly because of its layout and general design. A little bit too light.

On paper, Code Vein 2 takes what made the first game unique and expands upon the formula in an Elden Ring-style open world to tell a brand new, ambitious story about time travel to save the world. However, the reality is far less appealing, from the dated graphics and clunky technical aspects to the frustratingly sluggish combat. If you truly loved its predecessor, you might be able to overlook its significant flaws and play for dozens of hours. Otherwise, we strongly advise you to wait for at least performance patches, or even a price reduction.

New Frontier Days: Founding Pioneers doesn't venture into uncharted lands from the construction and simulation game territory, yet it's a pastoral, simple and efficient introduction to the genre, although such lack of ambition shows limitations sooner rather than later, whether because of the repetitiveness or the absence of multiplayer.

If the pop, British and psychedelic universe, inspired by Brazil, Nineteen Eighty-Four and Brave New World, proposed by Compulsion Games is surprising and offers a very immersive story, the mechanics of survival games and crafting ruin the plot of the game, giving an unpleasant feeling of a mutant game, too dispersed for its own sake and suffering from many technical problems.

Who could be interested in Super Lucky's Tale? Without its VR feature, Playful's last game seem to just be. Experienced players will not find anything worth the time in this basic platformer which cannot properly imitate any mechanics of the genre. And with its irritating controls, it clearly is not suited for children. Too bad, because its colorful levels had some good ideas here and there.

Just Cause 4 is more or less of the same. It's still good to play Rico and use its usual stuff, but it lacks strong new features, and with its redundant secondary quests system, its dated visuals and all the bugs, it just feels like a average game.

Demon Slayer: The Hikonami Chronicles is a bit lacking where it had everything to succeed: with a faithful representation of the characters of the anime, it does not go further, with an empty environment, dated textures and a technique that smacks of old, even on next-gen consoles, not to mention a cruel and glaring lack of variety in the action. But he has for him a model more than faithful to the anime and a combat system as simple as it is effective, which will appeal to the greatest number, despite a weak roster and great confusion in the action when several people are fighting at the same time. A game of average quality after all, for fans and for those who want to easily take their eyes off between combos.

Zeno Clash II is really a twin brother to the first one: same peculiar art direction, same slightly below average production values, same gameplay ideas. Its unique world remains its strongest asset, by far, but its bugs and gameplay shortcomings will quickly get on the nerves of those who aren't mesmerized by its universe.

This new DLC that takes us to Mars has a Hurk. It's cool if you like this talkative and dumb character, science fiction and jetpacks. However, it's not enough to have good fun on a shallow map full of generic quests and Ubitowers we thought disappeared with Far Cry 5.

Fable The Journey had everything to deliver an engaging gamer experience. Despite its strong casual side, the combats had the amount of richness and openness to allow creative players to strive within the system, and the lush and detailed world was enticing. But the lack of consistency in Kinect's precision is far too important and frustrating, and the combat becomes a real burden.

Playing Company of Heroes 3 on PS5 means accepting to play either a poorly optimized PS4 game (resolution mode) or a fat PS4 game at the end of its life (performance mode). Yes, technically, it's a real wreck. It's naughty or simply awful depending on the mode chosen. That being said, the game is still very playable and ultimately well optimized for the controller. We simply regret the lack of precision and responsiveness in the absence of a shortcut. But the work of the developers is there. The interface has been partially revised and it's pretty well done. It's up to you now if you're ready to sacrifice the visual aspect in the name of the altar of the strategy game, a genre underrepresented on home consoles. For the rest, Company of Heroes 3 remains the same game as on PC. An honest, but naughty strategy game.

Scrap Riders attempts a surprising mix of point & click and beat'em all and it works. The puzzles are rather pleasant and the action phases are mastered and very dynamic. The problem is that the game is also extremely talkative, doesn't tell much and makes heavy and/or embarrassing jokes (you either like it or you don't), when it doesn't stick references under our noses as if we weren't able to notice them. As a bonus, the pixel art often hinders readability in exploration and combat. As a result, the experience is clearly not as exciting as hoped and the good ideas are stifled by a general lack of finesse.
