Some expensive, state of the art equipment may help to catch several fishes, but a delicate control of the line is enough to hook the tastiest.- Gameblog.fr

Golf Zero is a nice mix between hardcore platformer and golf, sprinkled with a humorous touch all along its 80 levels. Still kind of short, the game manages to constantly deliver new challenges and reasons to laugh, die, and try again.- Gameblog.fr

Definitely solid in terms of presentation and game modes, even though The Journey is still far from perfect, FIFA 18 sadly feels like a FIFA 17.5 with a lot of emphasis on attack - which can please a lot of players but not those who are looking for something fresh and some football games with a realistic pace.- Gameblog.fr

Valkyria Chronicles 4 take the series back to its roots for the better. The new E Squad may use the very same twists and stories as the first episode, but the game itself stills delivers a solid war experience somewhere between the tactical genre and the TPS. Unfortunately, only those able to accept its naive manga tone may enjoy this light experience : indeed, the endless and sometimes pointless conversations are a real nightmare.- Gameblog.fr

FootLOL is not really football, and it's completely stupid, but it is more subtle and strategic than it seems. You will also play it for its eccentric atmosphere and intense action. A nice accomplishment for an unusual title, a little repetitive, but original and fun.- Gameblog.fr

West of Dead is a very interesting action game, very punitive, as dying is definitive, but entertaining. If you manage to tame its camera angles, you'll find a pleasant alternative to Hotline Miami.- Gameblog.fr

Back 4 Blood is unquestionably a fun multiplayer zombie killfest but its card system is a bit light on the novelty side of things, and we can't help feeling that the game is still a bit of a Left 4 Dead 3.- Gameblog.fr

At its best, Anger Foot is a great tribute to its biggest inspiration, Hotline Miami, with a FPS perspective smartly used. The gameplay is as frantic and exhilarating, with an OST (sadly a bit limited) that literally takes us in a psychedelic LSD trip through Shit City. The experience is unfortunately marred by some frustrating shortcomings, such as a clumsy gunplay, leading us way too often to a quick and annoying demise, over and over again. Worst of all are the boss fights, extremely tedious, and in stark contradiction with the rest of the gameplay loop. Sadly, the 20-odd shoes that we can collect through a lot of hardship won't help, a lot of them adding funny effects to be sure, but rather useless nonetheless. All in all, Anger Foot is a pretty satisfying game, but clearly lacks the mastery of Dennaton Games' title, although 12 years its elder.- Gameblog.fr

The gameplay of Gods Will Be Watching is based on resources, time and human management, during stressful events with lives on the line. You can choose to smash headfirst in the « original » mode incredible difficulty or try the easy way to enjoy the mood and an intriguing story including one mysterious Sgt. Burden. Sometimes a bit delayed and repetitive, Gods Will Be Watching remains an interesting experience, which should inspire other games with more homogenous gameplay.- Gameblog.fr

WWE 2K16 is clearly a step in the right direction. The game may not be perfect visually but it has a lot of content and fun new gameplay elements (the new submission system has got to go though).- Gameblog.fr

Far from being innovative, Project Warlock is a fun shooter combined with some western RPG elements. Not very fortunate during the early years of its project, the young developer Jakub Cislo eventually succeeds to pay homage to the fast-FPS of the golden era.- Gameblog.fr

NBA 2K22 is good, undoubtedly that is undeniable. On current-gen, the game is fine and broadly follows what the next-gen version offers, minus the power and graphics quality. The latter offers challenging gameplay for novices but so much more balanced for purists. Finally, only VCs, untimely loading times (again) and a technical quality that is not always irreproachable in certain areas (facial expressions) to cast a little shadow on this new component, which cannot end elsewhere but at home if you like basketball... No revolution this year, though.- Gameblog.fr

Apart from unnecessary narrative and simultaneous action-oriented stray deviations, Semispheres deploys its half stealthy / half puzzling mechanics to their full extent, more easily experienced with a second player thanks to the Joy-Con.- Gameblog.fr

A first glimpse of the future on new generation consoles: this is what this next-gen NBA 2K21 offers, with additional content, enhanced gameplay, even better graphics qualitative and a very convincing optimization, with finally non-existent loading times. But the room for progress and work is still important, with technical slag to erase, a lack of risk-taking at the career level for men but also for women. Projects which we can not wait to see the progress for the future. In the meantime, this opus, although being a big preview of the next-gen, does the job.- Gameblog.fr

By taking so much inspiration from Super Mario Galaxy, Sonic Lost World could have lost its way, or its origins at least. On the contrary, it stays true to its roots, the extended control over pace letting Sonic develop a whole new set of acrobatic moves while exploring new heights. But in spite of this vertiginous evolution, this episode still bears gameplay issues inherited from the series' transition to 3D, showing that Sonic has a long way to go in order to reach the level of his old rival Mario.- Gameblog.fr

Replaced is an enjoyable game. While it feels much more conventional than we originally expected, especially after its numerous delays, it’s nonetheless a solid effort from Sad Cat Studios. Admittedly, it won’t leave a lasting impression for its gameplay or its storyline, but it will likely have no trouble winning over fans of 2.5D action-adventure games who are also fans of cyberpunk settings. Because in the end, that’s what we’ll remember the most about Replaced: its top-notch retro-futuristic design.- Gameblog.fr

Battlefield Hardline manages to mix the teamplay of former episodes to the fast-paced rhythm of a Call of Duty. And kudos to Visceral Games in succeeding to deliver an effective solo campaign. Only regret, the game is not as nice-looking as its predecessors.- Gameblog.fr

This episode is more surrealistic than ever, but such paranormal phenomenons boost the gameplay, while time travels expand the scope of this universe, and alleviate the linearity of the story. So let's kick the future!- Gameblog.fr

Rise of the Ronin is the most ambitious game of Team Ninja and by far. Much more narrative than its predecessors, it unfortunately takes quite a long time to become really interesting. That's the risk when you want to create fiction when it doesn’t need to. But it is also the fault of an open world far behind a certain Ghost of Tsushima. In the end Rise of the Ronin is an open world game among many others, but with an ultra-dynamic, demanding and very deep gameplay.- Gameblog.fr

Wario Ware Gold feels like the very best of the series to this day: with a few new mini-games and many old ones, this episode cannot hide the feeling of redundancy. But with its 300 microgames, many crazy modes and a ton of WTF gadgets, every player can now experience the craziness of Wario Ware. Too bad the hardcore crew already knows most of its content.- Gameblog.fr

New World Aeternum is an interesting update that brings a host of new features for new and old players alike. There's a lot on the menu for leveling up, some welcome tweaks to a number of outdated areas, and some interesting new end-game content. The new PvP mode, which is more or less the same as mining, works extremely well, while the new (and first) 10-player raid will give you a run for your money. As far as the console port is concerned, on the controller, New World comes through with flying colors. Apart from a few hiccups in the menus and some odd mapping for certain actions, it's very pleasant and instinctive to hold. It's only visually, however, that the console version falls short. The various graphic modes on offer aren't particularly convincing, and the game relies far too heavily on its artistic direction to make up for its technical glitches. In this respect, we sincerely hope that patches will come along to correct the situation. For the rest, New World Aeternum on PS5 is a good pick in its genre.- Gameblog.fr

Far from being unpleasant, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD still bears the weight of time. Although the golden age of 2D platformers is far behind us, many games, including those in the gorilla license, have modernized the formula in the last few years. This port to Nintendo Switch may therefore seem bland to the most fervent fans of the genre. However, it retains a flavour of yesterday that's a pleasure to savour in small doses, all the more so in the absence of a new opus. It has to be said that Donkey Kong's colorful, comic universe still works as well as ever. And let's not forget the soundtrack, just as memorable even fifteen years on. The game is even more enjoyable in two-player co-op mode. But, we're bound to raise our eyebrows at the €59.99 price tag for a remaster, which settles for the bare minimum.- Gameblog.fr

EA Sports FC 24 has its fair share of additions. Major? No, not really. Useful? Yes, because they're mainly there to reinforce what has already been achieved, whether criticized or not, making this license one of the most popular cultural and videogame products purchased every year. That's the general feeling of EA Sports FC 24 that ensures its arrival and transition with efficiency.- Gameblog.fr

Far Cry Primal is instantly pleasing to the senses and great to play. Stone Age is a really interesting setting and the whole map offers a lot of content and some great supporting characters. But from a certain point, you realize that the game lacks a solid story, charismatic antagonists, and that it's very repetitive.- Gameblog.fr
