Even though the Yakuza series is more than 10 years old, Yakuza 0 feels like a fresh new start on PS4. The fact that the story takes place before Yakuza 1 makes Yakuza 0 the perfect starting point for new gamers. The game takes place in an incredible recreation of Japan near the end of its "Bubble Economy" and makes gamers feel as if they are in Japan during that time. The game manages to be both very serious and incredibly funny and, cherry on the cake, gives players a ton of things to do. Yakuza 0 is truly one of the better episodes of the series.- Gameblog.fr

Stray is a very good surprise. It is not a simple game where you play as a cat but it's a poetic, touching and exciting adventure.- Gameblog.fr

Even though this new story could have been a little more varied in its missions, one can only salute, once again, the talent of the studio. Marvelously implemented, and surprisingly adequate when combined with the western theme, this interpretation of the classic zombie myth is both comprehensive and efficient. The gameplay is profoundly (and interestingly) changed, and as usual with Rockstar, the value for price factor remains its strongest selling point.- Gameblog.fr

Being in development for such a long time, Dead Cells avoids the trap and lives up to its expectations. Nevertheless, only those brave enough to face its strong difficulty will be able to discover a deep and generous adventure. Despite a certain level of repetitiveness, even though the randomly generated levels still are hand-driven, Dead Cells' offers a brilliant artistic direction and a great but discreet soundtrack.- Gameblog.fr

Catherine Full Body offers a deeper look into poor Vincent Brooks' nightlife, by adding a new and surprising temptress to the original story. With the arrival of Japanese voices and a French localization, this new version also allow the player to get rid of the almost impossible puzzles, to simply enuoy the story or the social interaction of the so cozy Stray Sheep bar.- Gameblog.fr

Killzone Mercenary is the game PSVita expected. Visually stunning, it also offers an excellent gameplay, a good single player campaign and an interesting multiplayer mode. One of the best games on the Sony handheld console.- Gameblog.fr

After the brilliant episodes from Retro Studio, renewing the license was a big challenge that the Japanese studio Team Ninja has successfully met, thanks to a smart approach: going back to basics to innovate, taking the best in the series and refresh it. Metroid Other: M is definitely a super Metroid!- Gameblog.fr

Vanquish is a refreshing adrenaline shot that can only be welcomed by TPS and action fans. Too bad it's so short, and some bosses have a tendency to come back a little too many times, or that there isn't some multiplayer feature too enjoy this fast-paced gameplay among friends. Nevertheless, Vanquish is so epic, blessed by a gameplay so precisely crafted, that it's easy to overlook these flaws.- Gameblog.fr

Every gamer may be satisfied by this conclusion, but the good old Resident Evil fans will be especially convinced by it, as Resident Evil Revelations 2 definitely comes back to the roots here, and it does it well.- Gameblog.fr

F1 2020 manages to bring enough content with its new "My team" proposals which add yet another interesting layer to an already excellent base. We still regret the redundant side of the pre-race training programs (not enough variety), but it is ultimately the lot of Formula One that does not reinvent itself every day either. If you love F1 and want to enjoy it virtually, F1 2020 is the best and it is not because it is the only one.- Gameblog.fr

Too light to really capture PvE fans in the long run, Tera offers, on the other hand, a new level of challenge for those who like player versus player battles, thanks to its manual "true" targeting combat. Even though there's still some major things missing (like the battlegrounds), Tera remains a solid MMO, blessed with top-notch visuals. It's only true weakness: serious competitors coming in 2012.- Gameblog.fr

Monster Hunter Rise gets a third life on Sony and Microsoft consoles and succeeds, with a few bumps in the road. If you can't take away the fact that it's extremely generous, devilishly enjoyable and relatively clean visually, you also tend to think that there could have been more.- Gameblog.fr

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter offers a very well-written story, with an enchanting atmosphere and superb technical achievement, even if you feel sometimes running around in circles and a slightly slower pace story. An experience to live... and to play.- Gameblog.fr

Some remakes simply have the 'money-spinner' label stuck to their foreheads, but Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 exudes passion through every pore. One could argue that it takes too few risks, but that's a small criticism for such a great game. This second update is pure fun. It's pure arcade fun, with an addictive formula, new cards for the first time in 15 successful years, and an abundance of cosmetics to unlock. A must for fans of the franchise.- Gameblog.fr

N.O.V.A. 3 is evidently one of the prettier games on the platform. It's also a nice shell, masking the usual copy/paste habits of Gameloft, but this clear lack of real inspiration aside, it remains a fully playable, real pretty action title.- Gameblog.fr

Graphically, the Nintendo Switch 2 version of FF7 Remake sits closer to the PS5 than the PS4 Pro, despite having a lower resolution on paper, and it commands respect. With a few minor concessions, the game runs smoothly in almost every situation and never compromises in portable mode. Everything feels carefully crafted to let players enjoy Midgar both on the go and on the big screen. Too bad it's locked at 30 fps. Whether Square Enix can maintain this level of performance with FF7 Rebirth and its more demanding open world remains to be seen. For now, though, the Switch 2 version stands out as one of the most enjoyable and versatile ways to (re)experience the legend of this iconic JRPG.- Gameblog.fr

Marvel's Midnight Suns is a very good tactical RPG. A real ode to the Marvel universe that has enough qualities and fan service to please everyone. Full of twists and odd plot turns, Professor Layton and the Unwound Future is a well put together episode. With 165 puzzles, its as enchanting as ever backgrounds, its appealing story and well directed animated sequences, you can expect hours of fun. Sure, the formula is starting to repeat itself a little. But its magic still works, even though one may find some less well-paced dialogs, and a more "casual"-oriented appeal. They don't interfere with the fun, and that's still a very nice journey to live... through time!- Gameblog.fr

Without magic, Shantae is even more charming than ever, and transforms this pirate's curse into a blessing. The belly dancer not only captures all the platformers tricks, but she also expresses her hairy character to boot. Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is undoubtedly a French slap in the face, dripping with love for video games and art as a whole. Extremely generous in everything it undertakes, the only criticism it can ultimately have is that it sometimes goes a little too far, at the risk of exploding. It feels breathless, on edge. There isn't an aspect that doesn't follow through and firmly adhere to its creators' vision, even if it means being disconcerting, even disturbing. In this sense, the game exudes untouchable creativity and intelligence. The developers give us everything they have, everything they want, and we welcome it. Ultimately, all it would have lacked was a nice balance and a little more polish to make it a truly essential game. It nonetheless remains a serious contender for the most prestigious awards of the year.- Gameblog.fr
