Fruits take some time to grow, like ideas need some time to sprout. Hence Pikmin 3 shows that patience and planning are not only the key to gardening, but also the secret to cultivating new ways of doing it, in an amusing and artful manner.

Total War: Warhammer II is not a new game but an extension. Very good mechanics and very good AI, but not enough content to call it as a NEW game. Despite that, when Warhammer III will be released, the three games will probably be the best Total War never made.

Tales of Arise is a fantastic RPG. With a big storyline that's much more complex than it looks, and touching characters, great design, combat playability, very nervous and close to a beat'em all, and very satisfying roleplaying aspects. And if the PS5 version doesn't have the most insane optimization, it's been a real pleasure to play this Tales of Arise. If J-RPG is your thing, you shouldn't miss it.

Spelunky 2 is a divisive game. A masterpiece for those who swear by the reward at the end of their suffering, it will be painful and boring for those who want a fulfilling and contemporary experience. Even more difficult than the first game, it is undoubtedly frustrating because of its lack of pedagogy and progressiveness. Even for a game that wants to be difficult, the shock will be rough from the beginning.

There is No Game Wrong Dimension is a delightful and very funny point'n click, which offers various parodies of different genres, takes to a well played narrator, and very clever and meta puzzles. If you like to laugh, play this (non-) game.

Warlords of Draenor does not upset the MMO as we've known it for a few years (accessibility, speed, ease ...), and this may well be the only thing you can blame on it. However, Blizzard managed to make us travel again, and allows us to find the roots of the Warcraft series on Draenor.

Halo Infinite clearly marks a return to form for the Halo Franchise. The feeling is there, the music is there and the setting is there too. And 343 manages to make the game feel familiar all the while adding some new, and welcome, features. Halo Infinite also feels like the most intimate Master Chief story yet. It's just too bad that gamers will now have to wait for months to be able to play the campaign in coop, a staple of the series.

The talented French indie creators at DotEmu and Guard Crush have gifted us once again with Absolum, an excellent game that skillfully blends old-school and modern gameplay. In this instance, we're treated to a truly magical and ingenious blend of beat 'em up and roguelite, all set in a vibrant world that delights the eyes and ears thanks to its stunning art direction and soundtrack. A true gem of late 2025, unfortunately somewhat lost in a sea of other excellent games released throughout the year, due in part to a rather timid marketing campaign and a fairly steep difficulty curve that might deter newcomers.

Fallout 4 has some flaws. But it gives to fans of the series and of Bethesda's RPG exactly what they want and need: an overwhelming open world in an outstanding universe, with great tools to progress and great freedom of choice. Very pleasant, very difficult to resist and very very time-consuming.

Sure, Kirby is extremely easy, and not really innovative, but it still is a quite refreshing experience. With high production values and an enchanting atmosphere, its a delicious journey through Dreamland's kingdom. If the youngest of gamers can dive in with closed eyes, platformers aficionados will have trouble looking the other way with its lack of challenge. If you are able to enjoy its naive world, you will discover a peace-inducing title, with a solid gameplay. Touching, warm, and reassuring like a sweater weaved by Grandma.

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles reunites, at last for westerners, two very good games, probably among the best of the franchise. Capcom lets us discover exciting cases, brilliantly written, and some memorable characters. Not very difficult, but indeed very joyful. A must-have for fans and a maybe the best way to discover this amazing franchise.

Game Dev Story promise is undeniably alluring: create your game studio and try and make it prosper. It seems pretty rich at first, with recruitment, advertising, genre level-up, training of your employees, advertisement, game reviews etc. to play with, but after 3 or 4 runs, most players will have seen almost everything and understood how to maximize profit and success in the game. Let's hope that the sequel will run deeper for a prolonged satisfaction.

Football Manager 2013 manages to get us out of our coaching routine by providing a real graphical overhaul. We can now immerse ourselves freely in its gargantuan option menus without having the impression to lose our brain. This is still the best football management simulation, but this time with an ever more immersive game system.

Cuphead is a brilliant homage to the run and gun genre as much as it is to the 30's cartoons. This retro experience is a though challenge that will reveal its true potential only to those brave enough to endure thousands of deaths by the minute. Cuphead is not accessible to everyone, and it is fine like this. Beautiful and diversified as any other, Cuphead is such a rewarding game; it reminds us the true taste of victory.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is a must-play for both Yakuza and J-RPG fans. The PS5 version is a step-up from the original release and the story is as gripping as ever. We just wish that the PS5 version had made use of the DualSense's features and the Activity cards.

Diablo 4 is extremely generous. A clear evolution of the franchise and a real return to form. This fourth opus does everything better and bigger. A vast world, over a hundred dungeons, ultra-pushed customization... Nothing is left to chance. What's more, the narrative campaign is a delight to navigate. The narration has been given much more attention than in the past, the dubbing (VF and VO) is a delight and the cinematics are sublime. Even the mise-en-scène is superb. As for the endgame, it's shaping up to be a busy one. With a completely overhauled Parangon system that's infinitely deeper than in the past, endless challenges and ever-higher difficulty levels, you'll have plenty to do. It now remains to be seen what the long-term impact will be in terms of overall class balancing, redundancy and the seasonal system. As for the business model, still a mystery at the time of writing. But we'll come back to that later. As it stands, Diablo 4 remains an ultra-solid game.

Visually stunning, faithful to its ancestors but not chained to them, this game is a true masterpiece, full of great ideas and that can entertain you for a long time if you feel the need to discover all of its very well hidden secrets. A must play.

There's real poetry coming from those pixels. In between Princess Mononoke, Zelda, ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, Sword & Sworcery borrows from a lot of inspirations, digests them well, and adds its own style on top. It's a real and sensible adventure to discover, with fantastic visuals and musics, and a simple yet efficient gameplay. Its very low price makes it unmissable on the iPad. If you are looking for a fresh, different and referenced experience, speaking to your imagination more than your reflexes, then the journey is right ahead of you.

A few months after its console release, the PC port of Death Stranding offers a little extra soul to a very special game. Thanks to consistent graphics parameters, a wide-screen mode or clever keyboard and mouse controls, the game surely rewards all the most patient players. However, those who already reached the West Coast on PS4 can easily skip the Half-Life bonuses, as they truly exist as another gadget in a very long game.
