Even though its gameplay remains pretty classical, Bastion shows its singularity through its real time, voiced-over narration. During play of this Action RPG title, which remains solid and rich if not original, a voice will tell of your doings, your failures, every step of the way. Add a nice sense of progress and lush 2D visuals, and you may have the indy game of this summer '11 before your eyes. Even though it's not as remarkable as the likes of Braid or Limbo.- Gameblog.fr

Feeling like a successful meeting between Silent Hill 2 and what Remains of Edith Finch, Devotion is magnificently written and disturbing experience. A fantastic, scary, immersive first-person horror journey that you can jump in unquestionably.- Gameblog.fr

Returnal was a fantastic game on PS5, the best one so far, and it stills as good as before. A title that can be enjoyed on PC with the keyboard and mouse combo, or with the DualSense controller to take advantage of haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for an immersive journey. A instant buy for all PC players.- Gameblog.fr

Sonic Mania is a solid game that reminds us how amazing in terms of design were the 16-bit episodes. We can say this game is inarguably a new classic for the blue hedgehog and that it has to become a reference for the future titles of the franchise.- Gameblog.fr

Joe Danger is far from being a bad game, especially considering its tiny price. But one can't help but being frustrated by the lack of variety the gameplay offers. Its the perfect title for a quick unwinding, but nothing that can compare to a Mario Kart marathon with friends, nor the puzzling stunts of a Trials HD.- Gameblog.fr

Desperados III is a success both artistically and in terms of gameplay. The many references to Sergio Leone's films are awesome. You can definitely put a fistful of dollars on it.- Gameblog.fr

Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle is a veritable love letter to the saga from which it draws its inspiration. The one that set the standard for all modern adventurers, whether in film or video games. A dinosaur, unearthed by Bethesda and MachineGames in the purest of ways. A true gem of fidelity, the game is packed not only with winks to ensure fan service, but also with details to integrate this new adventure with the cinematic saga. A success on every level, with Indy as real as life and total immersion. The only hitch is in the purely video game aspect. While the regions we visit are sublime, they're sometimes too vast for very little, and there's far too much filler in the way of collectibles. Indy may no longer be Nathan Drake, but he's not an old man either, and he's clearly not at his best in platforming or combat. Even the game's exploration drags on in a way that's hard to in 2024. The same goes for the lack of naturalness and life in the crowded, inhabited areas, and the completely out-of-date AI that breaks up the infiltration. Notable glitches, to say the least, in stark contrast to everything else. The fact remains that Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle is one of the best Xbox exclusives of recent years, a fresh and gripping adventure that fans would be foolish to overlook for the few glitches that will quickly be swept under the carpet, and rightly so.- Gameblog.fr

Overall, Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is a magnificent comeback for the legendary SEGA franchise. This new game is a wonderful love letter to the franchise, with a well-crafted Metroidvania twist. However, the lifespan is artificially inflated by limiting the player to the main story and adding unnecessarily frustrating phases. If you loved the original games or enjoy 2D action platformers with stunning artistic direction, we wholeheartedly recommend this sumptuous martial arts masterpiece.- Gameblog.fr

Monster Hunter Stories 3 breaks free from the constraints of a simple spin-off to finally create its own mythology. Fans will say they didn't need this third installment to appreciate the series, but the fact remains that this is the most successful, generous, and mature entry of them all. A true entry point for both fans and newcomers, it's interesting in many ways, from its skillful and polished gameplay to its blend of exploration and monster collecting. Even its deeply ecological message becomes a reason to offer incredibly addictive gameplay mechanics. It's hard not to enjoy it, even if you wince at certain difficulty spikes, a technical aspect that doesn't always do justice to the art direction, and some entirely unnecessary side quests. Nevertheless, Monster Hunter Stories 3 remains utterly monstrous.- Gameblog.fr

A success. The title has been cleverly adapted to these supports, and some changes actually bring more and ensure the comfort and enjoyment of the game. Of course, if you already played it enough on PC, there's no need to buy the console version, even if the dodging feature and the local multiplayer mode are nice additions.- Gameblog.fr

A very good port. If you don't have a PC and want to discover Civilization VI, head straight to this Switch version. The game is nearly identical, except it doesn't include the Rise and Fall extension nor the multiplayer mode. For the rest, it is the same game, the same pleasure that you can carry wherever you want. You will just have to be patient at the end of a game, because each turn will last quite a long time.- Gameblog.fr

Rockstar reclaimed Max Payne in their own way, without changing its core: it's a shooter, and its main protagonist is as dark as ever. The real surprise comes from the multiplayer, one of the best third-person multiplayers we've played.- Gameblog.fr

Resident Evil 7 is a true Survival-Horror and a true Resident Evil game. The series evolves a lot here, but it does it with a lot of respect for its DNA. This seventh episode is perhaps the true "Rebirth" of the series.- Gameblog.fr

If it doesn't have any competitors, it's because they wouldn't be a match: NHL 12 keeps honoring the tradition of quality of the franchise and ends up, this year again, being one of the best sports simulations ever. With a sharp gameplay, nice visuals, optimized collision engine, NHL 12 will fill up the needs of frictions-on-ice lovers.- Gameblog.fr

PUBG is a like an adrenaline shot. It is surely one of the best multiplayer experiences in recent years. With its simple and highly effective principle, it has been the best Battle Royale game and one of the most fun games of 2017. And will probably be so in 2018 as well.- Gameblog.fr

Rocksmith 2014 is a pretty good tool to learn how to play guitar and bass. The game features all the basics to understand the instrument and lead the guitarist to his first riff, all that with a tracklist full of classics and modern songs and a much better interface than in the first Rocksmith game.- Gameblog.fr

Importing the physics and graphics engines from the Forza series to an open-world arcade game was a great idea, even at the first attempt on Xbox 360, but Forza Horizon 2 on Xbox One does even better, refining everything, and it's actually the best open-world racing game on consoles so far.- Gameblog.fr

Beat Saber is, to put it simple, one of the best VR games we have ever tried so far, and one of the coolest and most rewarding music games ever. The soundtrack is overall very good, but unfortunately a little bit limited for a game of its kind, and we could also regret the absence of an online VS mode, but no good reasons shall turn you away from this fantastic rhythm game, which is an instant classic for virtual reality.- Gameblog.fr

The exotic holidays of Luigi's Mansion 3 look like a phantasmagorical comedy, each floor from this hotel presenting a play of its own which revisits the classic horror movies themes, thanks to Next Level Games' fantastic imagination through mischievous stagecraft, wonderful riddles and stunning ectoplasmic battles. Beyond the already reinforced ghost hunter gear, such elements are combined marvelously, if not even better in duo, since the slimy characteristics of Gooigi both fluidify and enrich the whole experience. A team spirit encouraged by the terrific multi player modes, in particular the more stupendously trapped ScareScraper, bound to haunt the long hallowed eves slamming with friends endlessly.- Gameblog.fr

With Final Fantasy XIV : A Realm Reborn, Yoshida and his team have won their bet, and offer a radically different game than Final Fantasy XIV Online. The game has some very interesting systems, starting with the evolution of your characters and Jobs. Moreover, it is a very accessible game that you can enjoy easily and quickly. A great alternative to games like World of Warcraft, with a Japanese feel that should delight the fans of the series. This time Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn deserves to be successful. As for this PS4 version, it simply delivers what we already saw on PC, with two new cool options: remote play on PS Vita and Share functionality.- Gameblog.fr

Luigi's Mansion 2 doesn't just bring back to life the original, it transcends it. Deeper gameplay, smart puzzles, and a parody-filled tone meet a carefully structured mission-based progression that make it perfect for nomad play, while its multiplayer offers yet another take on ghost cleaning.- Gameblog.fr

Even though we weren't expecting this DJ Hero 2 to make new waves in the music games genre, we'd hoped it would fix some of the flaws of the original. But it isn't. In the end, this new title can be summed up to a new musical selection with but a few minor additions, some of those being dispensable (freestyle and singing). A title that will still appeal to the rich fans of the original, if only for its new tracklist, but still smells like laziness.- Gameblog.fr

The post-Elden Ring era was going to be difficult, that much was certain. FromSoftware's work on Armored Core 6 is bound to be compared to that of GOTY 2021, and unfortunately it pales into insignificance. At no point do you get a sense of the studio's maturity or expertise. Armored Core 6 could have been anyone's game. A messy title, not very pretty and very repetitive. A game with an archaic, old-fashioned structure that leaves no room for immersion and doesn't even seem to want to draw the player into its world. Fortunately, the gameplay is fun, the sensations are pretty good and some sequences stand out from the crowd. Not to mention the incredible customisation of our mechas, which is sure to delight fans and the big kids in all of us. But does that really justify throwing yourself into the game? I'm not sure. =- Gameblog.fr
