Sniper Elite V2 remains a small production in terms of technical scope, and could have benefited greatly from a more polished storytelling, but the fun of playing a sniper behind enemy lines is genuine. Its realistic take on the sniping parameters make it a serious option for those of us who love camping.

This cute beat'em all spin-off in the world of Albion could have been a fun experience, if only it didn't suffer from a less than dynamic gameplay, a progression system that lets too much up to randomness, and an overall feeling of disconnection to its gameworld. If you fancy a good 4 player beat'em all, go the Castle Crashers route.

We were used to have to buy a boxed release for these kind of FIFA add-ons, but this time, it's a digital download for a smaller price, and that's truly its biggest achievement. Even though there's an additional game mode on top of the official licences of the teams and stadiums, it still is nothing but a re-skin of FIFA 12 ; so be advised, that's for true soccer fans only.

Prototype 2 is no revolution: just a refinement of the original. It's prettier, its action is even more violent and efficient, but it still remains an action-filled game with little in the way of brains. Some will like this, no doubt, but one cannot help but see how linear and underwhelming it is in some respects.

Risen 2 Dark Waters is an OK action RPG, but some of its design choices and several noticeable shortcomings will put the patience of gamers to the test. It may wield them a rewarding experience though, since the power grinding feeling you get when progressing is really exciting. But besides its difficulty and its less than average storytelling, what Risen 2 really suffers from is the release of titles that surpass it in every concevable way, starting with Skyrim and The Witcher 2.

Kinect Star Wars is full of shortcomings. Its playability is approximative at best, its very permissive difficulty, and average production values, despite a nice artistic direction. But despite all that, some mini-games are really fun, like the podracing, the Rancor full-on destruction sequences, or the dancing with Vader. It's a family game, no doubt, and a nicely marketed one, that will probably please its core target. But if you're a demanding Star Wars fan and core gamer, there's nothing here for you.

Porting such a colossal game as The Witcher 2 on the 360 was no easy task. CD Projekt rose to the challenge nonetheless and succeeded. This WipEout 2048 is a true technology feat. Visually sublime, fast as hell, it's a comprehensive game as well. If the 3 seasons of the solo campaign will not challenge much until the last races, they will make a good training for the enhanced strategic elements, before heading into the multiplayer campaign. A splendid title, perfect for nomad play.

The Darkness II is a good FPS, but that's thanks to its atmosphere and storytelling, clearly not to its gameplay itself. It's violent and brutal, but not really smart (the AI being really poor), and the campaign is rather short. Online, the experience lacks this storytelling appeal, even though it remains solid.

Grand Slam Tennis 2 seems more realistic than the original, thanks to its revised visuals, but don't let it fool you : it's still an arcade tennis game. The AI is full of stereotypes, and even though there's loads of game modes, it will be most enjoyable when played online against humans. The PS Move gameplay works well.

The idea of a remake is welcome, but Jagged Alliance Back in Action did it with serious shortcomings in terms of production values. The AI and pathfinding are sometimes completely off, the interface not really smooth, and it lacks tactical options... but despite all this it remains quite enticing, thanks to the charms of its background and a genre that is really not that common nowadays.

5th Cell got its recognition with Scribblenauts on the DS. With Run Roo Run, the studio seems to aime at creating the next Angry Birds. The only action you'll perform while playing the Kangooroo Mom looking for its baby : jump. 420 levels with puzzle elements and gradual difficulty, it's a nice principle, but it's so casual that one can't see any challenge coming his way. Maybe future level additions will up the ante, but it's clearly not as ambitious as Scribblenauts was.

You do know Running-Games. It's as simple as hell : a character continually running forward, and your reflexes only to prevent him from falling into traps, holes, or any hasard coming his way. Temple Run is one of them, with an Indiana Jones take. It's a good and thrilling one, and it's still free with in-app purchases, so go get it!

We'd hoped a NeverDead that would have brought some punk and goofy spirit to generally too serious TPS games. In the end, Konami's title doesn't lack new ideas, but they are so poorly used that we'd rather stay dead.

Particularly beautiful for an iOS game, both on the iPad and iPhone, Jazz also enjoys a small price but great gameplay that make it hard to overlook. Its atmosphere and identity are strong, the music is fantastic, and even though its genre is overcrowded, it's really a title not to miss.

It's hard to criticize this SoulCalibur V. It's pretty, it's playable, accessible yet deep, will undoubtedly prove to be fun among friends both at home, or online. Too bad though, that the solo modes are so poor, and the roster of characters so far from being renewed as advertised. A good sequel, which could have been an unforgettable one with a better roster.

Squids combines tactics and RPG in a game that has clearly been thought, and crafted with the touch platforms in mind. As a results, it works really well, and the overall quality of the production, visuals, sounds, and gameplay for such a little price make it a real teat for iOS gamers (and later Android ones).

It may be scavenging a lot from other games of the genre, but Terra Noctis is a decent platformer nonetheless. What it lacks in personality, it makes up for in efficiency.

Tekken Hybrid should have been a nice display of the series qualities, and its latest iteration Tekken Tag Tournament 2. But this last title's demo is really poor both in content and tech quality, the HD remastering of the original TTT a lazy one, and the Tekken Blood Vengeance movie, though visually stunning, remains completely crazy story-wise. Is this compilation of content worth its price ? We hardly think so.
