Almost every texture in the game is soaked in bright neon colors to deliver a stylistic sci-fi setting. Unfortunately, where Alter Echo excels in graphics and gameplay, it comes up short in plot and personality. [Sept 2003, p.107]- Game Informer

The game's pacing is easier than GT, letting you fill up your garage pretty quickly - which is great fun since you can race your stable online. [July 2003, p.104]- Game Informer

The Missing told a moving story about J.J.’s personal struggles that caught me off guard more than once. Like its surprisingly heartfelt narrative, this quirky indie side-scroller came out of nowhere, but I’m glad I didn’t miss out on The Missing.- Game Informer

Unless you feel that the (somewhat disappointing) fight against the Brumak or a minor splash of new single-player content is worth $50, the only gamers that should be thinking about purchasing this are 360-impaired PC owners that never got into the fun last year – especially considering the multitude of superior multiplayer options in the PC action sector.- Game Informer

Fortunately, the good parts in Red Steel 2 are quite good. The combo system is flexible and offers room for experimentation.- Game Informer

If you're having fun, does it really matter if you're sitting in your living room or on a bus? It may be that if a game is entertaining then it's doing its job, and Fruit Ninja Kinect gets that job done.- Game Informer

It's still a hell of a game, but if you come back to it year in and year out, this season's offering doesn't have much of a spark.- Game Informer

Crash Team Racing is every bit as good now as it was back in the day. Naughty Dog created something special with the boosting system, and I urge everyone who enjoys arcade racers of this variety to give it a shot. Beenox’s enhancements only make it better.- Game Informer

It may not be the be all end all Sonic game that professed enthusiasts like myself have been waiting 15 years for, but Sonic 4 is a fun, frenetic download for fans and newcomers alike.- Game Informer

Opponents' AI could be improved also, as it sometimes causes the cars to take some strange routes – especially as they crash into each other at the start of races. [Apr 2002, p.81]- Game Informer

This game’s predictable ceiling is mitigated by the fact that it stands on solid ground. If I could find this much reliability in my real life golf game, I’d be in the same league as Tiger, too.- Game Informer

A good primer for kids and adults alike who aspire to explore the greater world of god games. It moves at a nice pace, it is never confusing, and it does a great job of holding your hand and showing you what to do next.- Game Informer

I’m a big fan of collectable card games, but Eye of Judgment is probably the most fun I’ve had with one since Magic: The Gathering. It’s easy to get into, the games go quickly, and seeing your powerful monsters come to life onscreen to crush a foe is a dream come true for CCG fans.- Game Informer

The demon-like enemies, while apt enough in their personification of the evils that the crew brought on themselves, are brainlessly simple to slay. Similarly, the puzzles cleverly illustrate elements of the story but require little creative thought to solve.- Game Informer

The Gunstringer proves that Kinect can appeal to hardcore gamers looking for fast-paced action and a great story. You won't find animal petting, unnecessary exercising, or a blurry approximation of yourself digitized in this game. This is a classic game design that just so happens to have motion control.- Game Informer

For those who already tapped through the 70-plus immortal tunes of the original and felt satisfied, this expanded song selection and the extra modes may not be enough to justify a return visit. However, Curtain Call is a good choice for those diehard Final Fantasy fans that couldn't get enough of the original.- Game Informer
