When it works it works well and offers a very challenging online experience. The fun is hampered by both horrendous load times and the fact that you need a high-end system to coax performance from the engine. There are also some issues with unbalanced units, rampant camping, and the lack of any "functional" vehicles other than transportation.

Despite some minor flaws and an occasional frustrating bug (that will hopefully be resolved in a patch), Immortal Cities: Children of the Nile keeps many of the classic elements of city-building strategy that made its predecessors so much fun to play, and innovates in ways which make the game much more interesting and involving.

The XMP modes are outstanding and the gameplay is fast and furious, but no less challenging or problematic when you take the twitchy controls into consideration.

Definitely a major step in the right direction. But at the end of the day I can only recommend this game to Transformer fans. The solo play is interesting for a bit, but quickly gets repetitive.

I suppose the game will ultimately find its limited audience, but for the majority, this is a track pack of fun, lighthearted, and easy songs wrapped up in a LEGO-style design that is starting to wear out its welcome.

This is one creepy, horror adventure game that not only features solid gameplay (the point and click style) but also an amazingly good storyline. It boasts good graphics, sound, and interesting puzzles that never become tedious or annoying.

It won't win any awards for originality, but with quality visuals, outstanding voice acting, and challenging gameplay, Over the Hedge is guaranteed to entertain and delight young and old alike, and should make the perfect companion piece to the upcoming film.

Fun despite many of its flaws. The gameplay is straightforward, harking back the the genre's roots while merging elements of other successful FPS games to create something that's very playable.

There is a good story and a nice rule-based combat system that is easy to learn and fun to master. It might not be as good as the real thing but as a GBA title it's a solid title with a few pleasant surprises.

By my own admission, I’m probably one of the worst Tony Hawk players in the world, but this game was so easy to pick up and play, and the new "Nail the Trick" only took me a few tries before I figured it out, and I was instantly hooked for life.

As it is The Spore Wars makes for a pretty repetitive game for combat and exploring but the scenery is pretty good with plenty of variety.

I really enjoyed Pinball FX. Granted, pinball is fairly simple and it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s great for a quick break from the normal game routine.

Fans of the book (or movie) will certainly enjoy this fresh perspective of playing as Saphira with support from Eragon, especially since the other game variations do just the opposite.

Regardless of Street Fighter Alpha Anthology’s gaming value, it does a wonderful job of showing how a fighting series evolves from a slow and skitchy brawler, to a fast and fluid fighter.

RollOut HD is a total blast; a game that will make you think long and hard for as long as it takes to complete it.

But overall, if you are a fan of Superman and love the whole multi-directional scrolling shooter genre, this game won't disappoint, especially if you played Chillingo's earlier game, Hero HD; very similar only this time you are the Man of Steel. Accept no subsitutes.

I don’t see it being on the top of anybody’s list as the best for any one reason, since most of the “cool” features are things that you can find in many of the recent titles, but it is an enjoyable game.

A great chess program for helping and improving your chess game. This is not just a game to play chess with others or against a computer; it is a set of tools for teaching and improving your chess game.

The simple color-matching gameplay principles will test the younger kids and the complicated puzzles and tricky control will challenge their parents. Even if you never explore beyond the initial 100 levels you are guaranteed to get your money’s worth.

The gameplay is a bit primitive but still fun and challenging. My only regret is that the dual screen wasn’t used more prominently in the game. As it is, graphics not withstanding, this game could have been released for the GBA.

A fantastic and totally enjoyable trip down memory lane for any gamer over 40 and a valuable history lesson for anyone younger.

It’s slightly above average in almost every aspect and matches that with a low low price.

An extremely shallow game.

This is one of the few XBLA games that I’ve continued to play after the first week. But for most people, once you’ve figured out the patterns to win there isn’t a challenge.

Though the game is woefully short, the game does set a standard for RPG difficulty, which might breathe some challenge into the genre.
