Turn out the lights and turn up the sound and immerse yourself in one of the most colorful and delightfully charming non-games of the year.

A fun little game that should not be overlooked if one is looking for a cheap yet satisfying game.

With solid graphics & sound, wicked interrogation/kill systems, and dialogue written by Punisher comic legend Garth Ennis (also of “Preacher” graphic novel fame) this title is hard to pass up for any die-hard Punisher fan.

I loved the diverse mix of exploration and discovery (treasure hunting) one minute followed by insanely fun and bloody combat the next. It truly is the best of both genres.

While this is a valiant effort to fill a much-needed gap in portable gaming, there are just too many issues that keep this game from being all that fun or anywhere close to becoming as next-gen as the system you are playing it on.

NASCAR 07 really does compile the best gameplay elements from the previous four years’ worth of their NASCAR franchise. While this would normally warrant a hands-down recommendation – especially releasing this close to the (apparent) end of the PS2’s lifespan – NASCAR 07’s technical glitches really deal a serious blow to the fun.

I am a bit torn when it comes to Test Drive Unlimited 2. It is definitely not the worst racing game I have played, but it is marred with technical problems that really do affect the gameplay. I would be willing to overlook these issues if the storyline was either better or nonexistent, but as it stands the story is not even enjoyable in an ironic sort of corny way – it is just frustrating to not give a damn about the characters, especially your own.

A serious game for serious racers with an ancillary interest in accounting and business management. Racing is just a small part of this game that happens when you aren't worrying about building up an empire of cars, earning more money or the respect of your peers.

And that's precisely the group that 2K Sports is trying to target with MLB 2K12 – the hardcore baseball fans. With the slow tactical pitching game, the new fielding mechanics, and the complex base running – MLB 2K12 is definitely not for the casual gamer. And hardcore fans should really find something to like in MLB 2K12 because it is as accurate a hardball experience as can be found in gaming.

If you are a big trivial game guru then Buzz! Master Quiz is a must have for you to play anytime or anywhere. Just don't expect an abundance of online competition.

If you are a sucker for pretty graphics and a rich narrative then you had better stick with the console versions of Grand Theft Auto, but anyone looking for an excellent handheld version of the game will delight in the complexity this title has to offer.

It won't change the way adventure games are designed, like Myst did, but it is gripping and well-crafted.

With 3,000 horses and an assortment of gameplay modes and mini-games you won’t be looking anywhere else to satisfy your horse fetish.

I would wholeheartedly suggest that any Spyro fan check out any of the console releases of A New Beginning before delving into this frustrating release.

As far as edutainment games goes, My Word Coach is one of the better ones I have spent time with and one in which nearly anyone age 8 or older should be able to get something out of.

Antiquated controls combine with a lackluster storytelling technique to create a game that might have been cool five years ago.

It also has a lot of the repetitious gameplay issues that dragged those games down after a few hours of play.

Atelier Iris 2 just goes to show that RPG gamers are going to have to become a little more discerning with what they buy. Either that, or be happy with the occasional turd.

All in all, it’s a fun little game with cute graphics that ought to keep Sudoku fans happy.

Graphics have been tweaked, sound improved, color and play-by-play commentary added, and AI beefed up to offer a far greater challenge despite some lingering flaws.

Scrat is one of the most endearing characters in animated films and it's high time he got to showcase his talents in his own adventure.

So if you have an hour to kill and want to seriously put the hurt on some space zombies I would recommend D.A.R.K for you.

While the tropical environment is inviting, and the game honestly isn’t all that bad, it’s a bit expensive for such a short diversion, and most gamers will probably go for something with a little more substance for the same price.

Zooo is not revolutionary in anyway; in fact, it looks a lot like other puzzle games I have played. However, the bright, fun packaging and portability of the game make it a should-buy for any fan of the puzzle genre and any parent taking their kids on a car trip.

I literally had to force myself to play this game, grumbling throughout the first 2-3 stages, but eventually the Castlevania-style gameplay and unique stylized graphics overcame my shattered expectations and I started to appreciate the game for what it is – a kick-ass, old-school platformer that will deliver hours of challenging fun regardless of its title.

Rango is one of those rare movie games that is actually good. Actually it's fantastic! It also doesn't require you to have seen the film or know anything about these characters. Rango is just as charming as Gex or Abe (from Oddworld) and he stars in one of the best action-platformers of this generation. If you have kids or just want to feel like one for a couple days, Rango is a must-own title.
