AceGamezWith a fast and frantic single player with all the trimmings, plus the voice and image of Arnie, I can't complain one bit. And when you've completed the game with a high score there's some decent cheats to unlock that enrich it even more.
-
While the hand-to-hand stuff won't win any awards, the deep selection of vehicles (from pickup trucks to high-tech battle tanks) and the frenetic pace of the game more than make up for it.
-
Nintendo PowerA solid and enjoyable action title with great control and gritty graphics. [Nov 2004, p.131]
-
With such a limited amount of differences between the experiences regardless of how many times you've beaten it, there's little in this game to keep you coming back for more.
-
The levels are so big and detailed that it's a wonder they don't bring your console to a crashing halt.
-
If nothing else, this game certainly captures the dumb, single-minded spirit of the films. I'm not a fan of the series, but I did have fun with Redemption, despite its total lack of depth. For a while, that is.

Electronic Gaming MonthlyCollectively, the infuriating missions and maddening difficulty swings prove to be overwhelming, sucking away what little fun there is. [Nov 2004, p.136]
