Hometown Story’s attempts at setting up an involving store management game end up falling in a tiresome, repetitive and often difficult to understand challenge, where the rules are not clear and where aspects which are logic in everyday life gain a completely illogical dimension in the game. While the beginning may be alluring enough to bring some players in, the game will quickly wear out those with higher expectations.- FNintendo

Thief of Thieves for the Nintendo Switch is the closest thing to a comic book adventure in a playable format, with the additional advantage of the console's handheld convenience. Its loading times may feel too burdensome but other than that, Thief of Thieves gets a lot of things right and the game's immersive environment and soundtrack, as well as the fun and engaging missions will make this a fun and involving experience for everyone.- FNintendo

The content is short on both quantity and quality, some of the minigames are just badly designed, one of its game modes is way too repetitive and dull to provide any fun and the soundtrack adds nothing to the experience. As far as party games are concerned, Scribblenauts Showdown is not worthy of the players' dedication.- FNintendo

And the wait for an outstanding, groundbreaking Sonic continues. Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal does not live up to the expectations due to a dull level design, a sub-par outlook and gameplay that is simply not compelling.- FNintendo

Harvest Moon: the Lost Valley could easily depart from the Harvest Moon formula and stand out on its own. Instead it ends up steering away from the series and not satisfying neither the Harvest Moon fans nor those expecting something different.- FNintendo

Riddled with technical issues that need improvement and with too long loading times, Paranautical Activity ends up being a difficult experience to play and it requires a revision from top to bottom until it can be considered as a competent game.- FNintendo

Other than its commendable art style, the gameplay experience is not challenging and is mostly devoid of serious engagement, even for a simple effort. Overall, Desert Child has not received the treatment it should in order to be recommended as a racing game in the Nintendo Switch catalogue.- FNintendo

This follow-up of 2006’s Karous is a simple and amusing vertical shmup, a genre which perfectly embodies the “what you see is what you get” principle. Unfortunately, this also acts as a reminder of why the shmup fell out of the gaming market: Karous -The Beast of Re:Eden- brings nothing new to this niche and other than a few hardcore fans, it will be virtually ignored by the vast majority of the public.- FNintendo

It quickly becomes repetitive on a short-term basis, partly because its levels and game modes are just endless recycling attempts of each other, and the game environment does not improve with its low quality soundtrack, all of these are factors that do not justify paying the high price requested for this effort.- FNintendo

InkSplosion may have accessible and responsive controls, as well as a visually appealing environment, but that's about it. There is a lot more variety within the shoot'em up genre to choose from and Inksplosion gets dull and repetitive way too quickly, with its bland soundtrack and lack of new, stimulating elements.- FNintendo

Legend of the Skyfish is an adventure game that's clearly influenced by some of the biggest names of the genre. While the game does a good job at presenting a simple gameplay that fits well with less experienced players, its lack of a higher challenge and lacklustre art style, as well as the inability to create its own space end up harming the game's prospects and make it a rather bland work.- FNintendo

Using personality traits instead of experience points to improve the character stands out, as does its combat injuries system. Less appealing though, are its rather repetitive nature on a short term basis, as well as its frustrating combat system and sub-par art style.- FNintendo

Mad Carnage is simple enough to get into, which by itself is positive. Thanks to its cartoon art style and lack of technical issues, the game's first impressions are overall positive but unfortunately, this does not stand for too long, as the levels quickly feel repetitive and the gameplay mechanics end up being too simple for its own good, resulting in a game that is more dull than it should be.- FNintendo

Into the Dead 2 may not have the most original premise but the game does a decent job at creating a grim, apocalyptic environment around itself. Nevertheless, and despite fun mechanics, the game is too much alike its original version for mobile devices and simply does not live up to what a Nintendo Switch game should be.- FNintendo

For all its rather interesting puzzles, Soul Axiom does not manage to stand out due to its sub-par level design and overall unappealing gameplay. The game also needs a technical overhaul, as its drops in framerate can often harm the moment and its lack of immersion will keep the players from developing a keener interest.- FNintendo

Suffering from technical gaps, imprecise controls and a predictable and clichéd plot, Rodea still manages to display an interesting concept and gives the player a degree of freedom that is unusual in similar titles. Pity that its qualities don’t weigh enough to redeem its flaws.- FNintendo

Nippon Marathon presents itself as a party game full of content and with a comically absurd concept which are two factors worth pointing out. Unfortunately the way the gameplay is implemented makes for everything but an enjoyable experience and even the most enthusiastic players will quickly find themselves frustrated at the hands of this game, which has little else in its favour as its audiovisual environment is clearly below contemporary standards.- FNintendo

AeternoBlade II for the Nintendo Switch has some good ideas and its RPG-like elements do give the game some appeal. That said, the execution is rather poor and its combat quickly becomes frustrating. Adding to that, its mediocre art style, technical issues and exceedingly long loading times make this a rather botched experience that becomes difficult to recommend.- FNintendo

Funk of Titans brings forth a very simple control system and some elements which if explored better, could make a more interesting experience. Unfortunately, the overall impression is that its mechanics are far too repetitive and its level design is flawed, which alongside an irregular frame rate contribute to make this a frustrating and unappealing work.- FNintendo

Animated Jigsaw: Beautiful Japanese Scenery features some interesting puzzle challenges...and that's about it. This experience is short and while competent, it brings nothing that does not exist already in other forms. To make things more difficult, moving the pieces around can turn into a frustrating experience, which is not something that should happen in a game where moving the pieces is the main action.- FNintendo

Vaccine starts off from an interesting idea and the similarities to the original Resident Evil may raise expectations but unfortunately its concept was not rightly put into place and the result is a game that is built on what's negative - the controls, its very outdated graphics and complete lack of variety - and barely touches what's positive, as its idea gets easily sidelined by its more negative aspects.- FNintendo

If at its core, the game itself remains good - it is, after all, the same as FIFA 19 - the product being sold under this name is simply not what EA should be presenting to its consumers. While updated squads and jerseys fit perfectly with the idea of a regular update to a football simulation, charging a full game's price for nothing but an update is simply unacceptable.- FNintendo

Contra Rogue Corps marks the return of the Contra series and its premiere on the Nintendo Switch. That should be a reason to generate enthusiasm, instead the result is a botched attempt at bringing one of the most iconic 2D shoot'em-up series to our age. With its frustrating and clumsy gameplay, technically inferior performance and limited multiplayer experience, the Contra series did not deserve an attempt that cannot be compared to the classics bearing its name.- FNintendo

There are few reasons why a game that is available on the mobile market and also available for free on a Flash format should be released as a paying game for the 3DS. Other than players with a very keen interest in poker and who are not familiar with the other versions of this game, very few will find it appealing.- FNintendo

Wheels of Aurelia brings forward a hybrid between a visual novel and a driving simulator, where the dialogues are topical and captivating and give the game a unique flair. Disappointingly, Wheels of Aurelia does not mange to fulfill all its promises and the game's interaction ends up feeling short and the way the dialogues are carried out does not live up to the game's premise.- FNintendo

There is nothing to say about a game that promises very little and aims very low. This is a low-cost, low-ambition, low-achievement title - there are no significant problems, but its margin is so narrow that there's no space to do anything else other having a short-lived entertaining run that won't take long to finish.- FNintendo

The game falls short, however, when it comes to its gameplay experience, not only due to performance problems but especially because the gameplay experience feels disconnected from the player and a constricting interaction with the game contributes to make this experience one without much enthusiasm.- FNintendo
