It could certainly use some improvement regarding its single player appeal, as it becomes repetitive too quickly and its difficulty level does not quite stand the test. All that aside, Pokkén Tournament is worthy of praise and a good example on how to bring one series to a different genre.- FNintendo

Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty is a competent port of a fun, creative and original game which despite its almost 20 years of age, still holds on today. There are occasional bugs which should be corrected but the experience is overall marvelous and a very good example of how to blend a 2D platformer with puzzle-solving challenges.- FNintendo

Radiohammer is an interesting, simple and addictive rhythm game that despite its shortcomings on the quality of the music on offer, provides a fun and frantic experience.- FNintendo

Temple of Yog has some interesting mechanics and it presents a gameplay that is simple, yet effective for a game of its kind. Unfortunately its levels fall into repetition and the lack of depth of its exploration means that it will quickly lose appeal to anyone other than the most determined players looking for a retro-style game that involves fighting within dungeons.- FNintendo

Project X Zone 2 is a smash fest of several high-profile series that meet together in a gorgeous-looking tactical RPG. An indispensable game for those who follow the series featured here, it could prove to be too repetitive in some moments but dedicated players who will be attracted by the giant amount of fan service on display will have plenty to do.- FNintendo

The HD release of Twilight Princess brings all the splendour of the original game to the contemporary age, with a much deserved high definition refurbishing and very welcome mechanics unique to the Wii U. Its structure and fundamentals remain untouched and Twilight Princess HD is as much of a monumental game today as it was upon its original release.- FNintendo

Space Hulk is presented as a videogame version of the board game that carries the same name, which is both a blessing and a curse. If its campaign mode can offer a long experience and the Wii U's GamePad is adequately used to interact with the game, its shallow gameplay does not captivate those looking for a good strategy game.- FNintendo

Island Flight Simulator fails at being what its name suggests and it fails at being an action game as well. Its outdated graphics, limited technical performance, lack of appealing goals and overall empty gameplay make this a passable title which falls outside of anyone's interests.- FNintendo

The overall difficulty level is low and will not pose any problem for players with a bit of experience, which inadvertently ends up throwing the game against the expectations of its target audience of players longing for RPGs from the early 1990s. Chronus Arc ends up falling significantly below its potential in several fields.- FNintendo

Petit Novel Series: Harvest December may be aiming towards the Visual Novel genre but its lack of interactivity and consequent zero input from the player makes it not much more than an ebook. Its design is not compelling either, with a scarce amount of images that would keep the player interested and other than a long plot, it has no other assets that could captivate any player expecting a minimum amount of gameplay.- FNintendo

Adventures of Pip is another welcome title to the growing library of platformers that make an extensive use of pixel art and boast a retro-style visual inspiration as well as multiple puzzle-solving. Each level brings new elements to keep the players closely around the game and its level of challenge goes beyond the plot, encouraging the player to explore and go further.- FNintendo

Bravely Second: End Layer does not live up to its predecessor's standards but this does not make it any less of a good RPG. Its visual environment is superb, it's loaded with content and its lifespan will keep everyone around it for a long time. It also improves on its predecessor's class system, while it falls out with the soundtrack and narrative.- FNintendo

Level 22 brings an original concept implemented through interesting mechanics. Its visual environment is comical and overall appealing to the eye, but its musical counterpart falls behind expectations. While Level 22 is entertaining it's not free from falling into a pattern of repetition.- FNintendo

Presenting itself as a large dose of fan service, with fun combat sequences and a very good cooperative component, it fails when it starts to get too repetitive and simplistic and its level of challenge comes off as not balanced enough. This intersection between Final Fantasy and Monster Hunter will mostly satisfy the fans of the former but disappoint those of the latter.- FNintendo

PictoParty is based on the classic Pictionary and it delivers what it is expected of it: it's a fun word-guessing game that ensures a good time with friends and family. It doesn't, however, clearly stand out from other similar titles in the Wii U catalogue and its lack of online mode make it less appealing than it could potentially be.- FNintendo

In single-player mode, Shadow Puppeteer is a much weaker game, technical issues and control problems become more evident and it's not challenging enough to justify a new go. Despite being based on several good ideas, Shadow Puppeteer performs way below its potential.- FNintendo

Simple...very simple, accessible and with just enough plot to justify its existence, Ocean Runner is surprisingly addictive in the way it captures the player's attention. While its RPG elements could use some polishing, especially on the use of currency, the game can be a very relaxing experience and its user-friendly controls make it an option that should be considered by all those looking for a simple but addictive game.- FNintendo

Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon is a very welcomed addition to the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon world. Its marvelous visual portraying, a staggering set of 720 Pokémon available and its very long lifespan will be cherished by fans of the series, despite its dialogues and plot being perhaps too much to handle for less committed followers.- FNintendo

Terraria is a large and content-packed free-roaming experience that will bring dozens or even hundreds of hours of gameplay to those who commit themselves to it. Sadly the 3DS conversion had to let go of some aspects that make Terraria a more appealing game on other systems and this portable incarnation is also affected by several problems in its visual performance.- FNintendo

Its functionalities, including the possibility to export the music to another platform and uploading the files to its cloud make it a practical and convenient application, whose limit lies only in the confusing and overwhelming interface that lacks any kind of tutorial or instructions for new users.- FNintendo

Nintendo finaly gets its Minecraft, delivered onto the Wii U's eShop and how does it add up? It's Minecraft, nothing else to add - and it doesn't build up on the other versions available. It's the same unlimited and never-ending building game but it doesn't fully make use of the Wii U's capabilities.- FNintendo

Its control system is very poorly implemented, resulting in painstakingly difficult ways to steer the character and in very imprecise moves. This is rather tragic, as the game's levels are overall accessible but the way the controls have been implemented create an extremely frustrating experience which ends up killing the chances of this game to be a good platformer.- FNintendo

Steel Empire brings back a 1990s 16-bit shoot'em up with an added 3D effect. It's a classic shooter of its day whose gameplay benefits from the three dimensional effect of Nintendo's handheld. Where Steel Empire falls short is on its length, which will disappoint many contemporary players who expect something longer as far as its lifespan is concerned.- FNintendo

Story of Seasons feels like a new chapter of Harvest Moon but it goes further than its inspiration. Its gameplay mechanics are very well executed, despite a rather slow start and its trade system, as well as the romance story, work like a charm. Where Story of Seasons disappoints is in its visual interface, which falls behind the benchmarks that the 3DS has set.- FNintendo

This game features a wide amount of content and a very challenging gameplay which is certain to keep players busy for some time. However, it's very difficult to understand why this game is exclusively released on the eShop of the New 3DS, as its visual environment does not seem to justify this decision.- FNintendo
