Simple...very simple, accessible and with just enough plot to justify its existence, Ocean Runner is surprisingly addictive in the way it captures the player's attention. While its RPG elements could use some polishing, especially on the use of currency, the game can be a very relaxing experience and its user-friendly controls make it an option that should be considered by all those looking for a simple but addictive game.

This quest for fishy love might not introduce anything noteworthy, but it's still a good bit of fun that just about earns a recommendation for kids and curious adults.

Ocean Runner seem’s like an original take on one of the most overused genres, although invest some time and you can tell Gilbert is out of his depth. The familiar yet fun gameplay and addictive power ups unfortunately do not make up for the misplaced music, drab storyline and lack of replay value. Ocean runner does not sink or swim but it does float.
