Blasphemous 2 presents itself to players as a significant step forward in almost all aspects already appreciated in the original chapter. It is not a sequel that reinvents the mechanics of the saga but is more the result of the team's precise desire to give fans a level metroidvania experience. Some uncertainties regarding collisions and the boss fights not always able to provide the challenge we were looking for, don't be deceived: the layered playful recipe and the excellent artistic direction manage to keep the player glued to the screen for the duration of the countryside. If you are looking for a peculiar title, thanks to its themes that travel on the border between the sacred and the profane, you should give it a chance: the second crusade of the Penitent is an experience you will not forget.

Ace Attorney Investigations Collection allows us to relive two interesting spin-offs that, without distorting anything of the typical setting of the series, can provide healthy entertainment for several dozen hours, each thanks to intriguing stories, well-characterized characters, investigations and exciting verbal confrontations. The massive presence of dialogues risks weighing down the pace of progress in some moments but fans of the genre would do well to consider the idea of taking on the prosecutor's shoes.

It's a visual novel, so be prepared to read a lot of text. If you like the genre, though, it's really well written, and it definitely deserves a shot.

Resident Evil 5 is not a masterpiece. It lacks originality, and reuses old gameplay mechanics that seem too scheming and stiff for the next gen standards. RE 5 stands in a sort of Limbo: it doesn't have the dynamism of an action game, and it lacks emotional transport typical of a survival horror. Despite this, it is still a good gaming experience, thanks to the excellence in graphics, the solid plot, the variety of the situations. It's a good ending for a series that needs a refreshing twist.

The completed restoration is more or less in line with expectations: the inclusion of Radical Dreamers, a discreet reinterpretation of the audio / visual sector, a good localization in Italian and new game mechanics to attract younger users or newbies to the genre. Now that we have seen the re-release of Chrono Cross, another question legitimately arises: when is the return of Vagrant Story?

Splatoon 3 is confirmed as a title in full continuity with its predecessors, supported by a formula that, seven years after the debut of the series, has not lost a drop of its bursting effectiveness. With an immediate, atypical and hilarious gameplay, the Nintendo title overwhelms players with a barrage of high-intensity multiplayer battles, at the center of a competitive proposal that, net of its undoubted qualities, would certainly have benefited from the '' introduction of more significant innovations, also on the purely content front. The improvements on the side of the "quality of life" of the users are welcome, mind you, so so are the additions to the paraphernalia, the catalog of skills and the list of maps, but a little courage could have opened up the exclusivity the doors of excellence. As for the single player sector, however, not all the changes made to the offer have fully convinced us, although the overall balance still stands at more than positive values. In short, if you loved the first two Splatoon, this sequel will not struggle to conquer you, and in case you have never splatted in company ... well, maybe it's time to think about it.

The narrative wants to be mature, but that can't come easy without a proper work on the characters, which feel somehow too flat to really emerge. Truly a shame, since the game loses its most powerful aspect, namely the dark atmosphere, and sometimes become just another survival with a management aspect.

We would have appreciated a more refined campaign in many ways, but that still doesn't overshadow the exceptional work done by the collective known as Battlefield Studios on the multiplayer front. Battlefield 6 is one of the most entertaining shooters of recent years and marks the return of the franchise in style. The class system, destructible environments, and wide range of maps and modes provide an extraordinary foundation for what's to come, considering that the plans for post-launch support are already well-defined and suggest the developers' desire to keep players engaged over time. Now all that's left is to get our hands on the highly anticipated Portal and learn more about the much-discussed Battle Royale mode, which we hope will arrive soon to make the offering even richer and more varied.

If the old-style gameplay and a little rust on the narrative devices does not scare you, Modern Warfare Remastered could be a good alternative to the most reknowned shooter of this year, hiding behind a decade of history a fun and quick gameplay.

NieR Replicant modernizes a rather controversial work just enough, and improves it to the right point. Emotionally destabilizing on the narrative front, Yoko Taro's action RPG, reinterpreted on a playful level by the Toylogic team, keeps its essence unaltered, halfway between genius and madness, without the balance being always positioned in the middle between the two. extremes.

An unexpected Final Fantasy. The 13th chapter has a great story and some of the most incisive characters of the whole series, and even the battle system works very well, being deep and complex (even if you control only a single character). But on the other side the overwhelming linearity of the plot, the absence of cities to explore, and the small amount of side quest will disappoint fans' expectations.

It's a testament to how crowd funding and community-driven development can really lead to something good, if there's a strong idea at the base. It's not perfect, especially when it comes to the balancing of the simulation, where some categories and specific models drive far better than others, and it still lacks performance optimization, but it's a unique driving experience, bestowed with unprecedented variety.

Two Point Campus is a production of excellence, able to meet not only the favor of enthusiasts, but also to bring neophytes to the genre. The immediacy of the controls, the excellent learning curve and the goliardic tones of the experience make the work a perfect entry point for players curious to try their hand at the management universe for the first time. At the same time, the depth of gameplay and the incredible amount of content can only excite the veterans of this specific videogame branch.
