Rift is a quite brilliant MMORPG, perfect if you've never played a persistent online game before, and really interesting if you're a staunch fan of the genre.

The only flaw of PixelJunk Monsters: Ultimate HD is the lack of new content. Sony’s production is a beautiful and challenging tower defense with a good gameplay.

Zero Escape is a type of game that drives us to talk to other players, comparing the choices and externalizing our doubts, then unleashing a sociability that is rarely favored by a single player title with a structure like that.

This second chapter is even more enjoyable than the first one. The map is bigger and way more interesting to explore, and some refinements to the IA clearly improves the gameplay. The number of contracts created by the community is still impressive.

One of the best Wiiware product: a fresh look and an innovative structure for the genre. Unfortunately, there's no online multiplayer, but Sword & Soldiers is perfect for Digital Delivery Market, and suitable for all the RTS lovers.

At a reduced price, Blind Squirrel offers a complete edition of the Bioshock trilogy, with all additional content released so far: the offer is attractive for old and new fans, enriched with many graphical improvements: finally Rapture can be explored at 60 frames per second on consoles too.

An expected conclusion for Bigby's Story: a couple of well-designed fight scene and a strong moral choice aren't enough to make the series stand and reach the quality of TWD.

Resident Evil 4 HD is not an HD remix, is a simple cut and paste of the PC version. For that price gamers deserve a lot more. Anyhow, the game stil rocks, but it is a little bit aged with some mechanics that, today, can be frustrating.

Speedrunners is based on a very simple concept, but still it's lively, and with its skill based matches, velocity can be felt in every single frame. Thanks to its well designed multiplayer mode, the DoubleDutch work can also be played as quite peculiar party game.

There's so much gameplay, between classic matches and FUT, that fans will be very happy with this year's chapter. There are also some interesting improvements in AI and physics, and some issues of old that seem really hard to fix.

Vanquish is a unique game, with a brilliant gameplay and a stunning graphic style. Its limit is the coin-op style of the structure (all based on the score and on the player skill) that gives nothing apart an exciting but repetitious challenge.

Ultimately, the remake of Super Mario RPG presents itself to fans in an exceptional graphic format that covers the same gameplay that had projected the original Legend of the Seven Stars into the Olympus of the best JRPGs in the history of the medium. Although we understand how someone can turn up their nose at a gaming system that has essentially stopped thirty years ago, in our opinion it was essential that a game so important for Super Mario's 'career' reach a new audience in the most faithful form possible to the one that appeared on SNES in 1996. After all, Mario RPG is a very important piece in the evolutionary mosaic of the modern age of video games, one of those works of art that should be handed down to posterity and which deserve to be preserved for as long as possible. This is the best opportunity to fill any gap in your cultural background as a gamer.

New season, new Football Manager: the twentieth episode of the series stands as a watershed between the glorious past and the future. Sports Interactive is preparing to revolutionize the series in the next chapter, which will bring a brand new 3D engine and many other improvements. Contrary to what Sports Interactive says, FM 2024 is not the best episode of the series but it is the worthy closure of a journey that began two decades ago: apart from the expected compatibility with the FM 23 saves, the new features proposed are nothing sensational. However, it still works very well, thanks to many adjustments here and there, small additions (intermediaries and set pieces, for example), better interaction with players and a 3D engine that seems to have reached full maturity. Also available on Game Pass, FM 2024 confirms itself as the usual majestic and encyclopedic management simulation. The sweet football obsession for millions of players.

In adapting the soulslike formula that made them so successful with the two Blasphemous titles, the guys at The Game Kitchen have demonstrated a full understanding of what it means to develop a 2D Ninja Gaiden: their Ragebound is a game to be enjoyed at full speed, seamlessly alternating between attacks to cleave through enemy hordes and the precise leaps required by demanding platforming. The excellent momentum of the initial episodes is unfortunately lost in a repetitiveness caused by a lack of variation, while the few missions available leave the title's longevity dependent on the individual player's desire to obtain the highest ratings in each mission. Like the gameplay, the level design quickly ceases to surprise, falling back on the genre's well-known leitmotifs without ever adapting to the diverse scenarios showcased by an otherwise inspired art style, which boasts contemporary 2D graphics and a soundtrack that is decidedly suited to the frenetic nature of the gameplay.
