With 40 characters, 34 stages and more than 200 costumes, Street Fighter V Champion Edition is the most complete and advanced version of the game. Even if some of these contents could be obtained through the game progress and buyable DLCs, the standalone version is a no brainer purchase if you never bought the previous versions of the game.

With Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Platinum Games and Kojima Production worked in perfect harmony creating a fine piece of art. Fast and excellent gameplay hugs Kojima's elegant, intense and detailed storytelling. Few technical issues and a bunch of bad design choices ruin the experience, but the final result is still greatly entertaining.

Shovel Knight is a love letter to games from the NES era but also a great little contemporary game, fun, consistent and with the right amount of challenge.

Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny is a brand new game in the tactical turn based jRPG series by Nippon Ichi and Nis America. This game introduces several new mechanics aiming to update the classic system and to attract new players, and it finally switches 2D sprites with 3D models. If you are a turn-based jRPG addicted, Disgaea 6 will keep you busy for more than a while.

Someone could call it a “Diablo clone”, but truth is that it's the real Diablo's son we've been waiting for a long time. Respectful of its parents, Torchlight creates a lovely experience through sparkling landscapes, giving new life to the “mouse smashing gameplay”. Its simplicity is worth its weight in gold.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection is a generous package full of nostalgia, Thirteen games from the Arcade, 8-16 bit and Game Boy eras and tons of gaming options, cheats and extras.

Bayonetta 3 achieves excellence on the gameplay side, with new gameplay mechanics and a spectacular sequence of over-the-edge scenarios. Unfortunately, this beautiful stylish-action game also enhances the limits of Nintendo Switch hardware, but remains one of the 2022 “must-have games” on the platform.

A very unique JRPG experience, with a classical but solid combat system and some truly original features.

The nearly-perfect Little Nightmares compendium comes on the Nintendo Switch, with minor graphical flaws and the usual plus of being (also) portable.

Per Aspera is a very interesting colony builder narrative game that has a stellar esthetic, a very engaging story and a super cast of actors. The gameplay is fluid, rewarding and rich of surprises and references to cool tech (both fictional and kinda realistic). If you like the genre and the setting you will have a blast.

Having expanded the concept of behavioral freedom beyond all expectations, Ambitions proves to be an excellent addition to the universe of The Sims 3. The new careers, along with the possibility to manage them freely, will surely manage to engage and entertain any fan of the series.

LEGO Marvel is probably the best LEGO game to date. Nothing has changed since the first title, but the latest chapter of the series is packed with dozen of hours of gameplay, collectibles and humor for all the family.

Gameplay-wise, the mechanics are those of Panzer Corps but the details have been crafted and changed in order to better use the wide variety of units included in the game. For the fans of the saga this is a must buy; but bear in mind that an interest in strategy is needed in order to enjoy this title at full potential.

Inked: A Tale of Love is a small and intense love story that will lead you to discover what you are willing to do in the name of this noble feeling.

Solatorobo is the typical DS hidden gem. A very nice adventure with a fascinating story and good characters, and a peculiar fighting system. There is a very strange but also very welcome surprise at the end of the game. I don't want to spoil it but... let's just say that maybe the end it's not what it seems!

Tales of Xillia 2 is a great JRPG with a few big issues. The silent main character is an interesting addiction in term of pure role playing, but it affects the whole gameplay ruining the typical narrative of the Tales Of series. The awful debit system is the worst design element of the game. If you'll be able to pass through these elements you'll find in Xillia 2 a great JRPG with a interesting and quite mature storyline.

Sol Survivor is a nice surprise from the indie world; funny, well structured, with an exceptional longevity, is a game that can steal a lot of your free time. Maybe it won't be the best graphic ever, but it works very well.

TASTEE: Lethal Tactics is a perfect upgrade of already consolidated mechanics. It doesn’t offer major innovations, but its cartoonish graphics and characters’ unique abilities give it a unique twist.

Snipperclips is the game to buy if you own a Switch and you’re looking for a clever multiplayer experience. This is not a party game, but an interesting collection of puzzles enriched by a clean visual style and priced at the right price point. Well done.

MLB The Show continue to improve year on year, this time with a slight new-gen technical jump, a new (and deep) stadium editor and other minor adjustments.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 is a great upgrade of the previous game. New characters, new game mechanics, more variety, a brand new story mode and the online multiplayer are great addictions to a nice experience.

The new adventure signed by Josef Fares is again a tale about two bound-together guys. Vincent and Leo will share the same adventure in a constant split screen in order to get their revenge, thanks to a common past. After a (very!) slow and boring start, the story gets better and better, in both plot and gameplay. Even new mechanics are introduced, scene after scene, changing the perspective every time. It’s more like an interactive experience than a real challenge, like Telltale’s.

It will keep you glued to the chair for at least a dozen hours.

Limbo, after eight years, has stood the test of time, coming in excellent shape. Landing on Nintendo Switch is the worthy conclusion of a journey started on the right foot.

A slightly different Zelda game that delivers a funny and frantic multiplayer experience. Unbalanced in single player but still recommended for beginners and seasoned players.

Redout - Space Assault is the classic example of how the genre of Rail Shooters is not dead at all. Fast pacing game, great graphics and on point soundtrack make this title a very good pastime. Just loading it up to blast enemies out of space!

NieR Replicant ver.1.22 embodies human nature: imperfect, stand-offish, sometimes even contradictory ... yet, it’s unique in its own way and, why not, unforgettable for better or worse.

Blue Dragon: Awakened Shadow is unfortunately another mediocre game for a franchise that doesn'’t seem to be able to live up to its expectations. The lack of a decent AI, the forgettable narrative, and the confusing gameplay, will result in a poor overall experience for both fans and newcomers to the series.

A solid episode that raises the cast and the plot of this second season. Clem is a great protagonist, cleverly designed to be both strong and fragile, but many situations are too much familiars for the fans of The Walking Dead.

Risen 2 Dark Waters is a deep and enjoyable RPG, with strong gameplay mechanics and a funny environment full of pirates, grog and voodoo. It's not as polished as others competitors, but it will be a good choice for all the fans of the genre.

Three games (and half) to celebrate over ten years of excellent thriller visual novels by Spike Chunsoft. The only new addition, Ultimate Summer Camp, is the weakest link of a shiny and highly attractive package.

A literal museum of the SNK legacy. The only downside of this title is the preponderance of historical importance over plain and simple gameplay, but it still remains one of the best, if not the best selection of SNK games ever made.

Syder Arcade HD is a good choice for shoot’em up lovers, offering at the same time interesting variations and innovations that make it accessible even to the less trained.

Garden Warfare is a funny spin-off of the iOS gaming success. The main concern about the game is that you can only play three modes. We would have appreciated at least a capture the flag.

Tales of Symphonia Chronicles is a great bundle for every JRPG fan. The original Symphonia published on Nintendo GameCube and PlayStation 2 was missed by a large number of players due to the lack of popularity of the Tales of saga into the Western market. Namco Bandai is now working hard on the JRPG side, listening to the fans' feedback.

Graphically raw but nonetheless enjoyable, Legendary Heroes is the series’ best installment to date.

A rock-solid new addition to the series, with the usual funny cast of characters, entertaining gameplay and some minor script issues.

Spelunky is back on Vita and PS3 with a solid conversion and some new features. Local co-op on a separate screen on Vita is a nice addition but the lack of the daily challenge feature may be a weak point for someone. Recommended if you’re an old-school gamer.
