Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is the masterful execution of a majestic concept. It transported me back to being that 16-year-old discovering Final Fantasy X, filled with wonder and awe. Despite drawing from the finest elements of numerous RPGs, the game radiates a unique personality and earns its place among the pantheon of the genre.- ElDesmarque

It's very likely to become a timeless classic—perhaps misunderstood by many, but highly praised by the patient and the crazy ones. Sakurai has crafted a work that reflects his own tastes and everything he loves about the medium.- ElDesmarque

Split Fiction is a masterpiece of creativity, capable of utilizing a single power in countless ways to make the experience as frenetic as it is entertaining. It evokes a sensation similar to Astro Bot, as it stands as a true love letter to video games. Josef Fares has done it again—an achievement that seemed impossible after reaching new heights with It Takes Two.- ElDesmarque

Monster Hunter Wilds stands as the most user-friendly release in a legendary saga. Its new features turn every fight into a spectacular show without diminishing the relevance of previous titles such as World or Rise. I consider Wilds a masterfully crafted progression and a clear demonstration of the great talent in Capcom's current team.- ElDesmarque

Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles is a coat of the finest varnish to refine a masterpiece, applied with a fine brush that some may find insufficient. Not because it allows us to savor one of the best games from that bygone era once again, but because the experience leaves us wanting more.- ElDesmarque

Dragon Quest VII: Reimagined is the definitive version that no one expected but that we really needed. It's more fun than ever, with an extensive storyline full of memorable moments, a polished and addictive combat system, lots to discover, and all without forgetting the magic of its music and artwork that is both classic and modern at the same time. Everything about this game is charming, nostalgic, and lovingly crafted.- ElDesmarque

DOOM: The Dark Ages is not only a prequel, it is a brave reinvention. In a scenario where the big franchises tend to repeat formulas, here we have a game that mixes the classic flavor of the first DOOM with a modern, epic and brutal structure. It is an ode to excess, metal, blood and intelligent gameplay. A title that will surely mark 2025.- ElDesmarque

Resident Evil: Requiem is, above all, a love letter to the saga. That Resident Evil 2 that left its mark on us still beats beneath its surface, but now accompanied by a gameplay maturity that only a franchise with thirty years of history can offer. We liked it a lot. We’ve suffered, we’ve managed resources to the limit, we’ve unloaded shotguns with pent-up rage, and we’ve felt that delicious tension that only Resident Evil knows how to create.- ElDesmarque

Honestly, I’m a bit surprised by how well this remastered version of Off holds up; considering how many games have incorporated its ideas, you would think a bit of its novelty might have worn off. Thankfully, it’s so singular, weird, and dense that its charms can’t be entirely copied. More than a decade and a half later, this RPG remains as haunting and enigmatic as ever.- ElDesmarque

This medieval RPG traps you in its endless side quests and you don't know when it will let you go. Realism, variety and total freedom to discover and feel yourself in the medieval era, with an epic dubbing in Spanish. One of the great games of 2025, no doubt.- ElDesmarque

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is a triumphant return to 2D for the series, a tribute to its origins, and proof that The Game Kitchen can handle a license with this much historical weight without losing its signature style. It's fast, challenging, varied, and visually stunning. A great side-scrolling action game with well-designed mechanics.- ElDesmarque

We can still enjoy the original game, but with exciting optional improvements that enhance the gaming experience. The visual change is obvious and beautiful. But it is these changes in gameplay where the biggest difference lies. And since they are optional, we don't have to use them if we want to play a purist game in the style of 1986.- ElDesmarque

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is not a revolution compared to its predecessor, but it is a very coherent evolution, which polishes its mechanics to the maximum, deepens its message and dares to show the cracks in its own philosophy. It is true that there is not much innovation or surprise and we did not expect that from Kojima, and this is a major drawback in a game like this. But the bar was set so high because of Kojima himself.- ElDesmarque

A huge RPG, at the height of the legend that Obsidian has already forged in its 30 years of history. Avowed is an RPG that uses classic recipes to make us fall in love with a new story and an outstanding artwork. Its lore, its world, its stories and its setting catch and do not let go and its combat system and progression have made us fall in love with it.- ElDesmarque

Cairn is a demanding, tense, and deeply personal climb. A game that turns mechanics into narrative and effort into emotion. It isn’t comfortable, it isn’t kind, but it is honest and brave. Like the mountain it asks you to conquer.- ElDesmarque

A silent gem. A tribute to soccer, yes, but above all to childhood, community and memory. Of course, it is not a game for everyone, as it requires patience, sensitivity and a willingness to be carried away by nostalgia, but whoever connects with its proposal will find one of the most moving experiences of the year. For those of us who believe that videogames can be art, Despelote is a confirmation. And a celebration.- ElDesmarque

MGS3 was already a great game, and Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is too, for obvious reasons. A sensational spy movie. A total survival and stealth experience. The almost perfect remake of the best game in the series. It's a shame that Konami didn't want to take a risk by improving mechanics that have become obsolete.- ElDesmarque
