It may not be the Metroid Prime sequel you were looking for, but if you keep an open mind and give it a shot, you're likely to be pleasantly surprised overall, especially if you have some friends to play co-op with.

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is a good title for the PlayStation 3. It doesn’t go over the top with what it’s trying to accomplish, but it does provide a nice twist from the original PvZ’s gameplay. That might be enough to warrant a purchase and the $29.99 certainly gives you that little push to pull the trigger.

When Arkham VR works, I am Batman breathing in the ambience of Gotham City. When it fails, I am a human being in my basement struggling to convince suspicious technology to behave correctly. This creates a curious dichotomy, one that actively embraces virtual reality's capability to magically transform the world while also bearing the burden of hardware in its infancy.

Humor sharpens Saints Row IV’s experience, though it won’t stop you from wondering of what it could have been with a bit more focus.

Rise of the Triad is a must-have for fans of the original ROTT or for those that enjoy 1990's FPS gaming. At $15, it's a great value, too.

The Day I Became a Bird, from developer Hyper Luminal Games Ltd., is a fun, adorable visual novel adventure that features a fair amount of well-placed gameplay and a good dose of creative and nostalgic flavor to it. It’s a short journey, though, clocking in at 1.5 hours.

Cool concept and well executed, Lost Orbit is worth your attention.

The game takes current generation consoles to a new level with visuals, even setting some graphical benchmarks for online play, but it drags it down in sustainable substance that is required to keep a game going beyond a two month mark of the release.

Revelations is enjoyable, but being released just a month after the full game and costing $10, and only being a 3-4 hour title is a little irksome. But if you can look passed that, there is a fun time to be had.

Alien: Isolation projects an authoritative and unrepentant sense of despair consistent with Ridley Scott's 1979 classic. As powerful and affecting as its influence may be, it's applied with enough force to drive Isolation off its rails. It never crashes, but after an aggressively defiant start, it teeters and wobbles its way toward an unassertive and obedient conclusion.

Ultimately, TimeGate Studios has created a good foundation for what could be a very popular FPS MMO. The online community is certainly growing, but it will be interesting to see how things look six months from now. Right now, the pulse seems very positive and here is to hoping it stays that way.

On the whole, though, Ghostrunner 2 is a good game. It’s not my preferred type of first person action, but what it does is unique, cool, and rather well done. As mentioned out the outset, if you liked the first game and want to see a modest, but confident, evolution of that, GR2 is for you. It successfully makes the GR experience more robust without taking away from the unique action the first game offered.

Darkest of Days provides a unique and overall well put together single player campaign. Any fan of action games or time travel mechanics should give this one a serious look.

Its impact can not be understated. With that said, the lack of tweaking and adaption with the controls made the 2016 experience on the PlayStation 4 a bit tough to love. It’s not a deal breaker, but it’s tough to recapture RE4’s magic when you’re fighting with the controls. In the end, a classic is still a classic, despite its flaws in this generation.

In a raw battle between pros and cons, the pros for Max: The Curse of Brotherhood win the day, but the cons deliver ample opportunity for frustration. At the end of the day, this is a good addition to your digital collection.

In keeping with the Paper Mario legacy, Sticker Star once again seeks to shake up the franchise template without betraying its common foundations. The result is a game which is thoroughly creative and sporadically impressive, but which is also surprisingly devoid of some of the common sensibilities of modern game design. Forgiving that, it's still a worthwhile romp for serious fans.

It's not the best racing game on the iPad, but it sure does bring the arcade fun of the original title.

If you're a fan of this racing league and play games, this is kind of a must have. For racing game fans looking for a tough challenge, look into this one. To everyone else I would say download the demo, play it quite a bit, then decide if tackling the full game is worth your full $60.

Those of you looking for an inexpensive RTS on your Wii U should highly consider purchasing this game (just don't expect a traditional RTS experience).

This sequel is, clearly, leaps and bounds over its predecessor.

Papo & Yo should be commended and will be remembered for wearing its heart on its sleeve.

After playing SWTOR for, well longer than I am willing to admit, I was really impressed with the quality and play style that SWTOR brings to the MMORPG market. The feel of the game, along with the content and canon of being Star Wars will, be able to appeal to many people, not just the hardcore MMO gamers. That being said, SWTOR focuses on role-playing gameplay, rather than the massively multi-player one. Because of this, if you are not in to role-playing, then you will not get the most out of SWTOR. The game is slow to get started, but once it does, there is a lot to draw your attention.

For a good hack-and-slash experience on the Vita, and for fans of the Ninja Gaiden franchise, Sigma 2 Plus is an enjoyable game. If you can ignore problems like the camera, and invisible walls, you will have fun mowing down ninjas, monsters, and freaky giant bosses.

A great title for the weak Move library and a solid rail shooter.

It's not without its flaws to be sure, some of which are patchable, but Murdered Soul Suspect offers an interesting mystery and enough other positives to make it well worth playing.

A clever premise and nice presentation along with sound point-and-click adventure design give Heaven's Hope good reason to belong in any adventure gamer's digital library.

A welcomed release on the PS4 that is a blast with friends for satisfying, short player sessions.

Need for Speed: The Run feels more like a tightly scripted action game than an adaptive racer. If you stop to look around you'll discover a game in service of building toward an experience rather than challenging the player beyond a few trial and error style obstacles.
