Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on the Nintendo Switch 2 is the definitive version of Nintendo's modern classic, offering enhanced graphics, smooth 60 FPS performance, and near-instant loading times. While it doesn’t introduce new content, this re-release stands out for its technical improvements and quality-of-life tweaks, making it ideal both for newcomers exploring Hyrule for the first time and for longtime fans looking to relive the adventure with superior comfort and performance.- Critical Hits

Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the Switch 2 further enhances the 2017 classic, with notable graphical improvements and stable performance. Now running at up to 4K and 60 FPS, the game finally delivers the fluidity many fans always wished for, with reduced loading times and a sharper visual presentation, all while preserving the beauty of the original art direction. The experience is virtually flawless, even in areas that previously suffered performance drops on the original Switch.- Critical Hits

Hades 2 is well worth it. Balanced, challenging, and engaging, the game manages to combine excellent gameplay with an intriguing story that always finds a way to reward the time invested. While its impact is not quite the same as the previous game, Supergiant has once again delivered a major success and continues its tradition as one of the most talented studios in the industry.- Critical Hits

Silksong is a sequel that expands the legacy of Hollow Knight by focusing on faster and more aggressive gameplay with Hornet, delivering intense combat and memorable bosses, along with impressive art direction and soundtrack that enhance immersion. Despite pacing issues, such as unbalanced economy, the overly long first act, and limited progression in health and upgrades, the game stands out as one of the best recent Metroidvanias, capable of winning over both veterans of the original and newcomers to the genre.- Critical Hits

Donkey Kong Bananza is fun and best enjoyed in small sessions, with a great destruction mechanic and creative side challenges that are the game's highlight. The lack of difficulty might bother some, but it’s exactly what the Switch 2 needs in its early days.- Critical Hits

Months after arriving on PlayStation 5, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach comes to PC with slight visual upgrades and a solid adaptation. Delivering good performance even on older hardware, the title stands out for its Ray Tracing which, while providing more natural reflections and lighting, is not essential. Its biggest drawback is its launch price, which is excessively high in some markets.- Critical Hits

Trails in the Sky First Chapter is a great starting point for anyone who has always wanted to get into the series but doesn’t have a PC to play on or doesn’t want to revisit games that are over 20 years old. It’s a pity that all the care dedicated to the visuals and battle system didn’t fully carry over to the adaptations just yet.- Critical Hits

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade remains one of the best games of its generation, and the Switch 2 port is highly competent, offering a great opportunity for those who haven’t played it yet or want to revisit the story of Cloud, Aerith, Tifa, Barret, and the fight to save the planet from Shinra and Sephiroth.- Critical Hits

Pokémon Pokopia is the dream of every Pokémon fan who has ever wanted a cozy game of their own, but I found its progression so slow and lacking in engagement that I couldn’t enjoy the experience as much as I hoped. Fans of the genre will likely appreciate it, but if you’re not into cozy games, this title doesn’t really bring anything new to the genre that would draw you in.- Critical Hits

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach fixes all the issues of the original and takes the experience to a whole new level. The game is flawless in everything it sets out to do and stands as one of the best video game experiences in recent years. If you enjoyed the first game, there’s a high chance you’ll fall in love with this one, as it is undoubtedly one of the greatest games of the entire generation.- Critical Hits

Resident Evil Requiem is easily one of the best games of 2026 and will certainly meet the immense expectations of fans, combining the best of Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil 4 Remake. I wish the game were a little bit longer, just to enjoy it a bit more, but that is really the only flaw I can find in it.- Critical Hits

Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles is probably the best remake/remaster of a classic game that Square Enix has made so far. The company didn’t just remaster the original game and add quality-of-life options; it went further and modernized the experience in many aspects, creating the best possible version of one of the greatest games of its generation.- Critical Hits

Saros is an evolution of Returnal in many ways, although it has abandoned the randomness of the previous game, which may disappoint some players. Delivering one of the best gameplay experiences of this generation, a solid story with human characters and real conflicts, and some of the best and most memorable bosses of this generation, this is the kind of game that may not appeal to everyone at first, but once you start playing, you simply can't stop thinking about it and want to play cycle after cycle.- Critical Hits

Mario Kart World introduces vertical races between circuits as a new feature, but some feel too similar, and the open world is somewhat dull. Even so, the game remains excellent—especially in multiplayer—and is the best way to showcase what the Nintendo Switch 2 is capable of at launch.- Critical Hits

Nioh 3 is the best soulslike made by Team Ninja so far. The game perfects its original formula and delivers one of the best combat systems in the genre. Although it has some slips like massive enemy reuse and some repetitive activities in its open world, it's still a game that shines above many others.- Critical Hits

Ghost of Yōtei is everything a sequel should be. Sucker Punch took the acclaimed foundation of Ghost of Tsushima and built something bigger, more refined, and more daring. Atsu’s story is intense and deeply human, the combat introduces new strategic layers, and the world design is among the most beautiful ever seen in an open-world game. Even with some predictable moments toward the end and a few structural similarities to its predecessor, the overall experience is extraordinary.- Critical Hits

Pragmata is a miracle of the modern video game era, with extremely experimental combat in a big-budget game that works very well. It's not without minor stumbles along the way, such as a lack of world-building and specific parts of the story that lacked cohesion, but none of that diminishes the brilliance of the combat and the intimate father-daughter story. For a first attempt at something new, the game succeeds admirably, and I sincerely hope it receives a sequel that further refines the concepts created here.- Critical Hits
