Toy Odyssey overall is a fun and engaging experience. Be prepared to lose yourself in the hauntingly majestic corridors of the Clade household. Grab your favorite action figure and prepare yourself to fight, build, and upgrade your way to victory.

If you’re a fan of Monster Jam or have younger gamers who enjoy simple racing games than this might be a worth-while purchase. However, if you’re a gamer looking for a deep racing simulation style game, or even a really good arcade style racing game, you’ll find better options elsewhere.

If you’ve never had the chance to climb the snowy mountains of Skyrim, face off against its fierce Frost Trolls, or absorb the souls of dead dragons you’ve bested then jumping into Skyrim Special Edition is a no brainer.

Gamesoft is on to something with Clockwork; an interesting premise, a unique story, and characters that didn’t actually feel two-dimensional and bland. The only let-down were the slightly repetitive puzzles, which was, sadly, the majority of the game. That being said, I still enjoyed the experience and only really wanted more variety.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare doesn’t reinvent the franchise in any way. It brings back everything fans love about the game and that is an exhilarating single player campaign, a frantically deep multiplayer experience and one of the most memorable zombie games you’ll ever play.

Like another rhythm game Thumper, Rez Infinite showcases the power of PSVR. While many people may look at a reboot or relaunch of a game as something lazy, Rez Infinite doesn’t fall in this category. Instead, Rez Infinite proves that the PSVR can breathe new life into old classics.

While the story itself was very interesting, I had a much better time interacting with my friends and bringing our characters to life.

Owlboy is sure to be a classic, and you’re doing yourself a disservice by not at least looking into it.

The game is not very impressive graphically and it has some unfortunate flaws, such as the odd freezing glitch and lengthy load times. But despite the flaws, the game is still enjoyable to play, with a great soundtrack and inspired moments from some of gaming’s biggest games.

Performing and landing tricks are difficult and messy due to the constraints and method of “charging” your moves before executing them. To make matters worse, it’s plagued with a faulty respawn mechanic that puts you into an infinite loop of crashes and bails. While visually the game isn’t too shabby, it all becomes meaningless when snowboarding becomes such a burden.

Despite its criminally short playtime, Rocksteady’s venture into making you the Bat in Batman: Arkham VR is one of the must-have experiences for your PlayStation VR setup.

The game continues to look and sound great – technical glitches aside.

Respawn Entertainment did just that with Titanfall 2; they turned the ideas and mechanics from the first game into an even better experience.

Civilization VI brings the franchise to an unbelievable level of polish and streamlined complexity.

I just don’t like being limited to what I can build by an arbitrary limit, especially when I have more than enough resources to build it. I feel it’s the one thing keeping Clockwork Empires from being a great and engaging game.

Battlezone is well-made in terms of its brilliant UI design and solid set of shooting and movement mechanics. However, the single player missions do not showcase the tactical brilliance of playing with real human players and the lack of any PvP online modes is almost a crime.

Rocket Riot is a fast paced game with tons of frantic action. The soundtrack is top notch and the graphics are fun and colorful.

Dark Souls 3: Ashes Of Ariandel is worth a look, but I sorely hope that From brings their A Game with the last piece of DLC for this incredibly popular series.

The chuggy frame rate (particularly in in Arkham Asylum) is disappointing but it won’t ruin your enjoyment of either game.

The big problem with Music VR is that the game just doesn’t have a lot of substance.

For an indie title, Abbey Games does a great job in developing an in-depth, complex simulation game. Unfortunately, the game at times did not really feel like a game given the amount of numbers utilized.

For all you retro lovers out there, this may just be the perfect escape for you right on your New 3DS.

Darkest Dungeon is a grim game. The tactical strategy of both the combat and resource management comes with tension and complexity. This is not a foray into casual gaming, even dedicated Dark Souls players will find Darkest Dungeon a nightmare at times. It is, however, a rewarding experience and one that is full of character and excellent narration.

A solid attempt at replicating the Left 4 Dead formula, but it also misses the mark in a few key areas.

If you really enjoy dark dungeon crawlers that are punishing to those who rush in, Necropolis could be a lot of fun for you. If you’re a fan of the Souls series and looking at this because it has some similarities, I recommend looking elsewhere. The combat and randomness will likely just leave you frustrated.

A surprisingly unique and entertaining addition to the Final Fantasy franchise that uses its cuteness, humor, and accessibility to draw you in.

Thumper is easily the best game I have played on Playstation VR. It’s fresh, exciting and leaves you wanting more. It’s amazing to think that this title was created by a two-man development team of ex-Harmonix employees. If there’s one game you should show off you to your friends when they come over, it’s definitely Thumper.

Guerilla Cambridge’s inaugural PlayStation VR effort sports an astounding single-player career mode and a simplistic suite of mechanics that becomes quite deep and tactical for those who take the time out to perfect it.
