While possibly underwhelming to experienced JRPG fans, Nights of Azure still provides enjoyable battles with specific mechanics to play around with. In the end, Gust’s newest attempt in gameplay and even love story that forms and develops between two women is what makes Nights of Azure a unique experience and JRPG.- COGconnected

I think Forced Showdown has done a great job of incorporating different strategic layers on top of a twin stick shooter.- COGconnected

Overall, the decent story, characters and narration made the game satisfactory, as did the simple controls, but the lack of gameplay, underwhelming graphics, slow movement and lag impacted the enjoyability of The Descendant greatly. I’m torn between wanting to see if the game gets better in the other four episodes, and leaving my playing time where it is.- COGconnected

If you enjoy a challenging puzzle, Tetrobot will provide it — just don’t expect Tetrobot and Co to revolutionize the genre, expect it to eat away a few hours until you get bored. The lack of story, bland environments and uninspired mechanics are what ultimately bog down the fun factor. The saving grace is in the smooth game play and the difficulty of the levels which, if you are looking to put your brain to the test, make it worth picking up.- COGconnected

The story quality in the quest line is great, but the adventuring feels short and hastily constructed. If what you want is simply a solid addition to the base game, particularly if you’re on console and can’t play with mods yet, then Automatron will surely spark your interest.- COGconnected

Day of the Tentacle: Remastered gets everything right. And did I mention it includes the original Maniac Mansion as well? This was a very funny and captivating adventure back then and it remains that way even today.- COGconnected

It’s not all perfect — some of the dialogue is a little clunky and not all of the puzzles are super exciting — but it’s a solid game that explores some new ground.- COGconnected

There are so many interesting elements to it, each of which could provide you with many hours of enjoyment. Ironically, its strengths are not PvE battling, dungeon crawling, and other things most MMORPGs are known for. But it makes up for those shortcomings with so much other deep content and a gorgeous, polished visual experience, that it is still a great game – provided you are willing to put in the time learning.- COGconnected

Overall, Pokken Tournament is an exciting and fast-paced fighting game that successfully blends the gameplay basics of Tekken with the Pokemon characters to create a completely unique formula. With intricate yet accessible mechanics, it’ll please both veterans and newcomers to the fighting game genre.- COGconnected

If you go into the game knowing it is short you can adjust your expectations accordingly. The Guest looks, plays, and sounds great but because of its brevity feels like a easily forgettable brief encounter rather than an overnight stay.- COGconnected

Republique is an excellent contribution to the stealth genre. With a unique twist on gameplay, a captivating story that leverages paranoia, surveillance and civil liberty and copious amounts of Easter eggs, this is one story that is definitely worth diving into.- COGconnected

Though it may not look pretty, it has a charm reminiscent of Diablo II and Diablo. I felt a nostalgic dread turning each corner and felt jubilation in defeating each boss; that is something that can’t be recreated with fancy visuals and flashy skills alone.- COGconnected

Although taking on Samurai Warriors 4: Empires head-on without any experience with past instalments may falter the depth and importance residing behind prominent characters, it’s still a solid mash-up of strategic conquering and hacking and slashing.- COGconnected

Indie titles are always a joy to play because they take certain creative risks that AAA’s typically wouldn’t. Teslagrad is one of those gems that I never would have picked up on my own but I’m immensely glad I had a chance to play. This is a near perfect platformer that deserves much praise for the artistic visual medium it presents. Gameplay flows like water and the pacing keeps you wanting more, if this is the first title released from Rain Games I will definitely be keeping an eye out for further titles from this developer.- COGconnected
