Liberty City looks phenomenal and there's plenty of life and atmosphere that impresses. The different textures, solid framerate and incredible diversity make this one of the most impressive PS2 games yet.

There's quite a bit of value in the title. Tons of subquests, and a second quest after you complete it, but the main run-through is just not as satisfactory as Ocarina's was.

Astoundingly beautiful. From the sunset, to the rain effects, to the guard animation - everything is very well done. There’s dynamic cloth effects, beautiful lighting and most importantly, some incredible textures to round it off. [Grade = A+]

There’s not really a grand innovation to the gameplay, and the concept of seeing how much havoc you can cause hasn’t changed much from the last game.

I felt so screwed out of some sort of satisfaction, screwed out of more levels off of the Halo, screwed out of many hours of my life that I just poured into one of the most amazingly bad excuses for a single-player first-person shooter campaign. I was bored, I was tired and by the end of it, I was just really pissed off.

From the little details on the cars up to the driving physics, everything is dead on. I know a little bit about racing concepts (speed limits? What are those?), and the game executes them with near perfection.

The sheer size-factor of the game is overwhelming.

What’s awesome about the gameplay is that you can just pick up a controller and start fighting. Three buttons (block, kick, punch) are all that are needed to master a basic set of moves.

One of the best Xbox games out there, unfortunately, by the end it has been repetitive and linear a bit too long.

The graphics are beautiful. The back drops are excellent and the character models look great. Color abounds in this eye-candy filled title. I wish some of the animations and moves had been changed up a bit, but what are you going to do?

Up Your Arsenal may be the best game on the PlayStation 2. This is "Mario 64" level quality folks. If you own a PS2 and don't play this game, I'll come to your house personally with a Sheepinator and remove you from the gaming gene pool.

From the moment the first cutscene runs, you are totally sucked in. Your heart rate jumps as you walk through the hallways, and no feeling is worse than being out of ammo and wounded… everything about this game sucks you into the role of the characters.

You might be surprised that this game isn't an Xbox game when you first see it on the TV. It looks great and while it does have some telltale signs of being a PS2 game, it's still absolutely gorgeous.

Fans of Ocarina will love diving back into one of the best games ever, only with new dungeons. It's hard to say which is better, but if you love a challenge, Master Quest will satisfy your craving.

One of the best, most challenging games ever made. Ninja Gaiden is as close to perfect as a game can get. The game sports cutting edge graphics, great sound and the best fighting engine that has ever been created.

This world is giant: get really high up in the air and you can see most of the videogame. That’s an incredible feat, something I don’t think I would have imagined feasible on the Playstation 2.

A fabulous game. The way it submerges you in George Lucas' universe and takes you on a wild ride is unmatched.

The graphics and sound are one area where Madden definitely doesn’t measure up to ESPN. ESPN is much prettier and the sound is better as well.

The most disappointing part though was completely raping each boss in the game with a flurry of missiles. There is little challenge. This shortens the game into four or five hours, making it quick and dirty for game players.

What makes Pikmin so fun is that you are seeing the world from new eyes, and exploring large beautiful environments.

The updated version features a brand new dash feature allowing the player to navigate dungeons and towns much more quickly. This is a very welcome addition as in the original game making your way through these areas quickly became tedious.

Without a doubt the most realistic basketball game ever to hit the market. It’s got everything a fan could want: franchise mode, online mode, create a player, and the best gameplay around.

From a graphical standpoint, the game is mind-blowing. The characters and vehicles all look good, but what's really impressive is the backgrounds around each race and how fast they go screaming by.

Fans of the series and of great action-RPGs in general should quickly don The Minish Cap. While it's not the longest or most challenging Zelda ever, it's more than worth a purchase.

Home Field Advantage is huge in this game, and momentum for INDIVIDUAL PLAYERS is just as large. In one game, my QB had a half where he completed two passes, and then a second half where he tossed six touchdowns. It’s amazing the difference in your players based on confidence level and that all feeds off of home field advantage.

Logitech has done a lot to help out with this with its new force feedback steering wheel. With a full 900 degrees of rotation, the wheel will fight you around turns, and gives gamers the best possible control interface for this masterpiece of a racing simulator. I can’t imagine playing GT4 without it.

One of the best games to hit the market this year, portable or otherwise.

While the voice acting isn't a total waste, it seems like the writers decided to have the characters babble on about nothing at times.

The only downfall is that you might find it a little short, but it still is one of the most unique titles I've played in a while and comes recommended.

With the incredible soundtrack and the emotions that the game invokes, Frontline is one of the best games of the year.

More than just an expansion - technically, I think the game could be considered a sequel with all the depth that is in the game. If you have Reign of Chaos, this is a must buy for you and RTS fans everywhere.

The biggest downside to the game is that it is very deep and does require a lot of patience. For instance, after you complete your turn, you have to sit through the computer’s entire turn. After a while this can get tedious, especially in a long battle.

There is a decidedly cool sense of style to Ratchet & Clank. The game feels much like the classic sci-fi movies, very rounded and artistic, almost retro at times.

While the controls leave much to be desired, this is one of the few must-owns for any Playstation 2 owner.

Everything from the design of the bosses to the absolutely incredible levels screams personality.

The one other element that just makes this game so damn fun to play is the heist movie feel.

The most interesting mode is a capture the flag type mode. I love it in first-person shooters so it only makes sense that I would love it here. While there is some lag in multiplayer games, it isn’t enough to make the game unplayable.

Multiplayer deathmatch modes work just as you’d imagine them, although I can’t be but a bit disappointed. Unlike a game like "UT 2004", Doom 3 only comes with the option for four-player deathmatches, and there is no Co-Op mode like there will be in the upcoming Xbox version.

Probably the best racer currently on the Xbox. While the game does have a few flaws here and there, if you have any interest in racing at all, don't look any further than this.

The level designs are, quite frankly, ingenious. Featuring curves, ramps, narrow paths, moving platforms, and obstacles of all kinds, the levels are as awe-inspiring as they are frustrating.

There are a lot of difficult levels, a lot of difficult enemies. It’s awesome. I appreciate a good challenge in today’s games, and JAK II offers it. It’s plenty long too, and will keep you playing for a good time.

The big improvement over the PlayStation game is the laws that govern each battlefield... It helps diversify the battles quite a bit and keeps things interesting.

A fantastic game that no GameCube owner should be without. I enjoyed it and my girlfriend absolutely loved it.

What’s so cool about the game is that anyone can pick up and play, and can get into the deep simulation that the game is. I like that fact a lot. [Score = A+]

Incredibly fast, but the Xbox shows no signs of slowdown during gameplay. And really, it's saying a lot, but Jet Set Radio Future is probably the best looking Xbox game on the market right now.

Unlike "Steel Batalion" which could take months to learn how to play, you can learn how to play MechAssault in just a matter of minutes.

The sheer replay-ability and open-ended nature of Animal Crossing is what makes it so much fun to play. There are so many different things to do, so many bugs and fish to catch, and so much interior decoration.

If you’re obsessed with the series, though, and love the super hard modes, you might want to pick the game up. This is also the definitive version for folks who might not have played the game before either.

It is best with four friends though: my girlfriend, two other friends and I discovered this after we lost 10 hours of our lives in one sitting. If that doesn't say something about this game, nothing else will.

What does change up quite a bit is the amount and complexity of the puzzles in the game. It's actually pretty refreshing to have so many situations that require something besides combat.

A treat for fans of the original, but it won’t blow you away in any particular aspect.

The biggest problem with this is that the backgrounds don’t look as rich and colorful as they did in the two previous installments.

Don’t play this game at night. Really, it’s just a bad idea. I mean, unless you have Sigourney Weaver or Arnold Schwarzenegger sitting in the chair next to you with a flamethrower and a smile, you’re never going to get to sleep afterwards.

The problem is that it just gets old quick. Lots of enemies, attack, cure, wash, rinse, repeat. It gets old.

The player models are much more realistic, players show emotion, and pretty much everything has been given a facelift. The animation, framerate, textures - it’s all very impressive.

Gets old fast. The multiplayer gameplay grows stale and can be boring, and the one-player game only takes so long to master, or become bored with. A golf fan might eat it up, but your typical gamer will probably put it down after a few days of extended play.

Still the same girl you dated in high school, just with a new wardrobe and some nice jewelry. She’s still fun to hang out with, but nowhere you haven’t been already.

For fans of the series, this may be the best game yet. It combines a Classic and Underground mode into the same game, adds new gameplay elements, and really captures the feel of a bunch of skaters goofing around.

If there's a single problem with the gameplay, it revolves around the overly simplified putting mechanisms. It's just too simple to make 30-40 ft. putts and I do it regularly.
