It’s not an indie blockbuster, but it can arouse some enthusiasm if you enjoy tactical games. [10/2014, p.65]

The idea behind Gods Will Be Watching is not bad at all, the prototype was promising, the Kickstarter campaign was successful, but after 15 minutes of playing I was furious. Gods might be watching, but whether you live or die is decided by a random number generator, not them. [10/2014, p.60]

An interesting way of spending a couple of evenings, but there is not enough content in Abyss Odyssey to keep you engaged until morning. [10/2014, p.58]

The Germans took a step back and reintroduced more of the distinctive atmosphere of the Gothic series and the first Risen, which is a huge advantage for me. The world is so vivid and lively that it really makes you want to be there and see as much of the vast content as possible. It’s a shame that the game’s engine is visibly aging and the story lacks the punch. [10/2014, p.48]

Solid, engaging campaign is full of humor and shines especially during the Cold War era, but unfortunately fades in the modern period. [08/2014, p.75]

Astebreed is most fun when you try to beat it on high difficulty level without using continues while improving your score over and over again. If you’re not interested in that, you’ll spend no more than one evening with this game. [08/2014, p.73]

The game is short (2-3 hours) but had it been longer, babysitting the two-year-old could have become a burden instead of an adventure worth experiencing. [08/2014, p.71]

After every moment of enjoyable flight or other dynamic event comes a segment that requires patience and counting seconds to time the next jump right. It’s a pity that instead of A Story About Jumping Around Like A Maniac we got such a drag. [8/2014, p.71]

A great example of an eyesore spit out by indie devs convinced that only the story matters. The worst part is that they had no idea how to write the story to avoid it being a cliché running with the pack of sad, moving indie games. [08/2014, p.69]

Autosport tries hard to bring back the glory of the first GRID (e.g. the cockpit cam returns) but the career mode was designed horribly, the game engine is aging and the whole thing lacks a spark. [08/2014, p.66]

After 15 minutes Daylight is no longer scary and makes you explore boring, very similar environments that in addition are procedurally generated in a mindless manner (e.g. a whole floor of bathrooms). [08/2014, p.64]

The developers had valuable ideas neither for the combat system, nor for the world or the visuals (they failed to make good use of CryEngine 3), so I bid Panzar farewell without regrets. With great relief even. [08/2014, p.63]

Ranko is pure absurdity and represents the style of current Japanese pop culture very well. Unfortunately it’s also a rather weak game that you will be done with after 1,5 hours. It might look great and burst with crazy ideas but there is simply no reason to come back to it or honestly recommend it. [08/2014, p.62]

In terms of gameplay mechanics UFC is a complex game that will keep fans satisfied for months. It’s a shame that the dev team lacked someone who would use a flying knee to launch the animators and guys responsible for physics into the next-gen era. [08/2014, p.58]

As expected the sequel is massively improved and expanded (e.g. with two more character classes) in comparison to the original game. If it weren’t for Path of Exile and Reaper of Souls that got me my fix of hack’n’slash, I would be playing Van Helsing II till the third part appears. [08/2014, p.54]

Eyes with dark circles around them, irregular meals, cat looking at me reproachfully. For the last couple of weeks I’ve spent every spare moment on Nexus, where I kill, craft and have a blast enjoying a very pleasant combat and delightful visuals. [08/2014, p.46]
