Conversations with your comrades are more meaningful and have a stronger emotional charge than combat or solving problems. Citadel is a great way to bid Commander Shepard good-bye. [CD-Action 06/2013, p.58]- CD-Action

I had an impression Digital Extremes wants to make a deal. They pretend to have developed a great game (which they haven’t) and I was supposed to pretend I’m having great time (which I didn’t). [CD-Action 06/2013, p.54]- CD-Action

Riptide does a great job as a co-operative action game and it tastes best played with friends. If someone is still hungry for some zombie slashing after having finished the original Dead Island, Riptide will provide same fun enriched with some new equipment and fresh gameplay mechanics. Unfortunately it repeats most of the mistakes of the predecessor. [CD-Action 06/2013, p.48]- CD-Action

As a fan of Ninja Theory’s take on Devil May Cry, I had some fun with this DLC, mainly thanks to surreal Limbo setting. But Vergil’s Downfall is short (took me about 1,5 hour on medium difficulty), cut-scenes look more like storyboards than something that was supposed to appear in the final product, there are bugs and Vergil is no Dante. Nazi Zombie Army is bland, not very original and unpleasant to play. The best thing about this game is the title. [CD-Action 05/2013, p.81]- CD-Action

Resurrection is a bundle of two slightly renovated classic games of the series – Darkstalkers: Night Warrior and Darkstalkers 3. It’s fun but I don’t see much of a point in such re-editions. What we need is a brand new Darkstalkers game. [CD-Action 05/2013, p.80]- CD-Action

It’s a sort of realistic Micro Machines – a good idea, but executed poorly. [CD-Action 05/2013, p.79]- CD-Action

It’s the best baseball simulation available, but the biggest new feature is the mode for beginners, not very interesting to PS3 baseball aficionados. And the rest will probably ignore this game. [CD-Action 05/2013, p.79]- CD-Action

Gaijin Games once again managed to find a reasonable balance between trivial gameplay rules and gradually rising, pleasantly challenging difficulty level. [CD-Action 05/2013, p.75]- CD-Action

Inspired by traditional point’n’click games, Kentucky Route Zero steers clear of puzzles, picking up objects and using everything on everything else. Instead it offers a distinct mood comparable to Alan Wake. [CD-Action 05/2013, p.75]- CD-Action

Another online shooter – these three words sum up Team X nicely. It offers nothing that would keep you in front of the screen. What’s even worse – there are no people to play with. [CD-Action 05/2013, p.74]- CD-Action

Twisted Dreams is as old school as it gets. It’s also long and offers some additional modes for really hardcore gamers who should like Black Forest’s platformer. [CD-Action 05/2013, p.73]- CD-Action

Capcom did not repeat mistakes from RE4, so using keyboard and mouse is almost as comfortable as playing with a gamepad. PC edition was also enriched with some interesting bonus content and patched (but that didn’t save it from some technical issues). [CD-Action 05/2013, p.71]- CD-Action

It’s curious that XSEED waited so long to publish Ys I & II Chronicles, as both games are visibly more primitive than their successors from 2012. Instead of dessert we were served a stale biscuit. [CD-Action 05/2013, p.70]- CD-Action

You can point out that Ascension failed to make a real step forward. You can argue that the multiplayer mode is a foreign body, a strained attempt to find innovation in the wrong place. That’s true, but in my eyes the foundation built by the previous God of War games proved to be strong enough to sustain what I hope is just the calm before the storm that Kratos will unleash on PS4. And damn, Ascension looks unbelievable! [CD-Action 05/2013, p.64]- CD-Action

Judgment shows that the People Can Fly team knows its way around triple-A titles. They managed to squeeze a lot out of Unreal Engine 3 – the game looks great even compared to Crysis 3, which set new standards in terms of visuals, also on consoles. And when the technology restrained them, they creatively found a way around limitations. [CD-Action 05/2013, p.60]- CD-Action

It’s a shame Double Fine missed the chance to expand the game by enriching the short campaign and introducing new, more varied side quests. Still Brutal Legend is a treat for every hard rocker and metalhead – they definitely should hop on this crazy train! [CD-Action 05/2013, p.58]- CD-Action

Simply put, Heart of the Swarm shows how PC games should be done, however I wish the campaign was longer and more epic (Wings of Liberty did a better job in that department). You can treat the final rating as an average of 7/10 for the single-player mode and 9/10 for the multiplayer. [CD-Action 05/2013, p.54]- CD-Action

A very solid, but not revolutionary shooter in an amazing setting, with a story that struggles to convey its authors’ ambitions and is only seemingly complex. The vision is less focused than in previous Bioshocks and it does a worse job on binding the plot with gameplay. [CD-Action 05/2013, p.46]- CD-Action
