It’s a pity that this bundle does not include more prominent games, because the ones we get are probably completely obscure to many players. On the other hand though it’s a chance to travel to possibly unknown regions of the past and see how the genre evolved. Oh, and Armored Warriors is really cool. [12/2018, p.89]

I think you won’t be disappointed if you choose to return to Albion. Of course some gameplay mechanics are old after 10 years, but it is still a charming fairy tale. [03/2014, p.71]

I’m very happy that FTL’s developer returned with a new game, as I spent almost 30 hours with Into the Breach and I feel like it was just a moment. [05/2018, p.76]

A solid, enjoyable hero shooter, varied and polished. Yes, it does have a lot of Overwatch DNA, but in some areas it’s more advanced than Blizzard’s game (e.g. wide range of adjustments you can make to adapt your character to your playing style) and it’s free. [08/2018, p.62]

For the first time since forever, I feel like playing Super Mario Bros. again. The team at Arika added 34 other players, increased the number of mobs accordingly, made the player character a bit more powerful – and thus managed to turn rusty gameplay into gold. [12/2020, p.39]

Lamplight City is neither as good, nor as bold as Unavowed’s mix of adventure and RPG but certain ways it reforms the genre do pleasantly surprise. Gonzalez’s marriage of a crime story with a period drama piece came out better than ever before. [13/2018, p.66]

Many of the game’s features are limping like a maimed BattleMech but it doesn’t let down in the most important aspect – the one Piranha Games apparently feels the best in – dynamic, satisfying ‘Mech combat. [02/2020, p.52]

I’m pleased that we finally got a new full-fledged game by Camelot. What’s more, it will appeal to a whole lot of different people ranging from hardcore fighting games fans to your grandma and grandpa, though the difficulty level can be painful at times. The most important thing is that Waluigi begins his special move with a rose between his teeth, which puts Mario Tennis Aces dangerously close to the GOTY territory. [08/2018, p.64]

River City Saga: Three Kingdoms is a side-scrolling brawler developed with love, full of humor and surprisingly rich in content. You won’t find a more charming series in this genre and Three Kingdoms shows how much you can still squeeze out of it by improving its formula.

My experience with Arma III contained equal doses of pleasant surprise, delight, feeling of emptiness after finishing single player missions, and longing for more. If you’re mainly interested in the single player campaign, I advise you to wait at least for the first DLC before buying this game. [CD-Action 11/2013, p.58]

We might have grown weary of Traveller's Tales LEGO series, but Harry Potter: Years 5-7 is the best and the most complete game they've done. You rarely come across a game that ages so gracefully – updating graphics (that look great, by the way) was enough, because the story is still great and shooting aliens is as enjoyable as it was 10 years ago. [January 2012, p.70]

Stellar Blade is, above all, a collection of ideas borrowed from other titles, but combined in such an intelligent and fresh way that it turned out to be a full-fledged game undoubtedly worth giving a chance. I had a fantastic time playing it and will probably revisit it one day.

EA managed to end the bad run of Need for Speeds released in odd years. But even if it’s the best NFA in a long time, it could have been better. Rivals looks and plays really good but it could use a properly working multiplayer or a real single player mode. And if you remember Most Wanted, Rivals looks quite familiar. [01/2014, p.38]

Shin chan: Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation is easy to fall in love with and difficult to forget. Ten hours spent with this charming game recharged my batteries almost like a real summer break and proved that you can use this medium to tell stories of happy childhood without moralizing or preying on nostalgia.
