The gameplay itself is the least impressive of the game’s features and despite an interesting story and problems it tries to tackle we will remember Liberated mostly by its comic book presentation. [06/2020, p.68]- CD-Action

A very good adaptation of a board game that occupied one of the top spots of the BoardGameGeek list. The rules are the same, so the goal is to create new habitats for birds and attract as many specimens as possible. The game has a great tutorial, obvious educational values (I wish it presented more information about the species though), and the cards are lovely, but it is a shame that only North American birds are included. The new character class (the Final Girl) quickly became my favourite and I think I enjoyed this well-written, fun slasher parody more than The Fractured but Whole itself. The DLC is quite short (I did everything there was to do in three hours), but I actually appreciated that, as I found the original campaign to be dragged out mercilessly and pointlessly. Definitely the best DLC for The Fractured but Whole. [10/2018, p.63]- CD-Action

The Signifier is pretty unique in terms of both the concept and its execution. I’m sure you won’t regret giving it a chance if you’re into adventure games and can appreciate a highly unsettling atmosphere bordering on horror. [13/2020, p.67]- CD-Action

An engaging story about a group of dirty cops in cyberpunk Hong Kong, Wanted: Dead is a modest but highly enjoyable game dripping with the atmosphere of violent B movies and full of intense, memorable shootouts and swordfights. Be prepared to die often, because the game’s difficulty level is a throwback to the PS2 era.- CD-Action

Survival is like a game within a game, a total conversion that turns gameplay upside down and refreshes a worn-out formula. Well done, Massive! [01/2017, p.51]- CD-Action

Although Horizon Zero Dawn is a variation on the tested “ubigame” formula and fails to even get close to The Witcher 3 in terms of utilizing the open world, amazing setting makes it a beautiful science fiction fairy tale that manages to stay gripping till the very end. [04/2017, p.62]- CD-Action

While the VR Horizon is targeted mainly at the fans of the series, I believe others too will enjoy the game’s large world, great close encounters with machines, fun archery, and a number of other activities that highlight PS VR2’s capabilities.- CD-Action

A text adventure game that successfully pretends it’s not a game. The illusion of contacting real people is really immersive at times and I wish the story was longer. [12/2016, p.78]- CD-Action

Despite simple, painfully dull dungeon designs and PS3 era graphics, it’s one of the best Tales games in years. The story is really sound, the combat system is solid and interesting, difficulty levels are properly balanced at last, character development and crafting are addictive and players are introduced into the world at a perfect pace. While WRC 10 will not become a timeless classic due to some flaws, it has everything rally fans need, including a satisfying driving model and stellar design of special stages. [12/2021, p.72]- CD-Action

Doubtlessly it’s the best written RPG game in years and there are moments when it borders on true brilliance. Fascination, reverie, delight, admiration, fear, joy – I experienced all of it while playing this game. On the other hand the abrupt, mediocre ending felt like a slap in the face, skill checks become meaningless over time, the in-game economy is awful, there are plenty of bugs and overall the game feels like a budget product. Young developers within Obsidian finally got a chance to do something on their own and want to do things differently. While the world they portrayed is fresh and original, combat gets stale and accessibility comes at a price of the game being shallower than old school RPGs. [01/2017, p.56]- CD-Action

Not having played Yakuza 6 yet, at first I was disappointed with the Dragon engine, which offers only painful 30 frames per second. New tech has its advantages though, as you may enter most of shops, restaurants etc. without annoying loading, which is a significant step forward from the first Kiwami, as are the physics engine, animation system and enhanced control over combat. Overall it is a very good game, but not as brilliant as Yakuza 0, especially in terms of the story. [10/2018, p.70]- CD-Action

Director's Cut is by far the best way to experience Kojima’s latest game. However, if you’ve already played Death Stranding and you’re considering buying the new edition just for the added content, better sleep on it. [12/2021, p.78]- CD-Action

A crazy, innovative and funny variation on pool, where the tables are full of life and the balls try to avoid being hit. The only aspect I have to reprove is the game’s repetitiveness – the scenery changes but basic mechanics always stay the same. [10/2018, p.74]- CD-Action

As it usually goes for Call of Duty DLCs, there’s something new, something old and something dead. In this case we get three varied new maps, a remake of Afghan from Modern Warfare 2, and a zombie mode that in my opinion surpasses the original one. [04/2017, p.73]- CD-Action

Toem is well-designed, well-written and full of charm. It’s got friendly photography mechanics, good music, it’s funny in a natural way and stylish as hell with its grayscale and sprites fitted into detailed hand-drawn three-dimensional environments. Give it a try! [12/2021, p.82]- CD-Action

The easiest way to describe Ghostrunner is to call it an illegitimate child of Hotline Miami and Mirror’s Edge. It fails to match the latter in terms of body awareness, but it makes up for it with well-thought-out, satisfying level design and looks great regardless of whether you’re putting your parkour skills to the test, or slicing enemies with your katana. I never thought I’d enjoy a game where drawing and coloring are gameplay’s core elements. Don’t let the seemingly infantile graphics fool you, because Chicory is much deeper and more serious than you might think. Or rather can be, because it’s for you to decide whether you want to delve into the deeper, darker layer of the game and uncover the therapeutic power of art in the fight against depression. If you don’t, you still get a weird, unusual and very enjoyable mix of an adventure game, a puzzle game, some platforming elements and a coloring book. [09/2021, p.30]- CD-Action

The port is beautiful and it’s hard to complain about its technical aspects. Unfortunately, the game itself, while still good, is not as fascinating as its predecessors. One simply expects more from a series with such reputation, especially when it comes to the joy of smashing things up.- CD-Action
