Rockstar decided that it's enough to carry the classic Max Payne gameplay as it was over to contemporary platforms. This plan was fulfilled quite well but it would be nice to get something more than that. [July 2012, p.60]

Daedalic Entertainment once again proved that they know how to make a point' n' click adventure game. What sets Deponia apart from their earlier work is tons of humour strongly influenced by The Secret of Monkey Island and Discworld. [10/2012, p.63]

An experiment developed with virtually non-existent budget and a very specific intention: to expose players to an unpredictable, disturbing nightmare born in a mind consumed by fever. [12/2018, p.77]

The largest country of all available in ETS2 at last is as vast and varied as it should be, thanks to 20.000 kilometers of new roads and 15 new cities. [02/2017, p.55]

The game might not be polished in every detail and has a low budget feel to it, but it's been a while since I played a shooter with such a great story and I doubt we'll be getting another like that soon. [August 2012, p.58]

While Undertale is great both as a comedy and a tragedy, Deltarune is good for some laughs but – so far – doesn’t move players otherwise. [13/2018, p.48]

Delighted with the game’s art style and fascinated by its atmosphere, I spent dozens of hours with Darkest Dungeon II and I will probably spend dozens more. It is undeniably a great game with many strengths, but it differs significantly from its superb predecessor and it will never take its place in my heart.

A worthy sequel to one of the best visual novels ever created, although it relies too heavily on your familiarity with the original game. [02/2017, p.56]

Primordia's intentionally outdated looks prove that the story (including atmosphere and puzzles) is still the most important element of a point'n'click adventure game. [1/2013, p.48]

Mom Hid My Game! makes up for its minimalistic visuals and simple mechanics with absurd humor and untamed creativity. [03/2018, p.63]

An unconventional platformer where you can’t jump and instead use magnets to tackle obstacles in your way. It’s a simple idea, but the developers showed incredible creativity and made a game that surprises you all the time and constantly challenges both your reflexes and your mind. Be warned though, Super Magbot’s difficulty is hardcore. [09/2021, p.67]

Good old Infinity Ward is back and not just with Modern Warfare Remastered! The single player campaign (the best in years!) alone is enough to give Infinite Warfare a chance. Just like with Doom and Titanfall 2 I expected nothing from the game and was shocked with how good it turned out to be. [13/2016, p.34]

Jurassic World Evolution has its downs (e.g. when it gives you a task you are simply unable to carry out at that moment) but its ups are undeniable. The game manages to reconcile tycoon’s natural depth with accessibility and makes a great, complex use of the license. And it has Jeff Goldblum. Oh, and raptors. Damn those *#&%@ raptors! How do they manage to escape every time? Well, I guess “life, uh... finds a way”. [08/2018, p.56]

After all these years Bournout Paradise is still an amazing game with an exceptional sense of speed and some very clever design ideas. It’s not easy for me to understand why Electronic Arts chose Need for Speed over Burnout. [05/2018, p.69]

An interesting medieval action game with a very good combat system (except for a rather primitive mounted combat) which is more refined than its counterpart in Chivalry: Medieval Warfare. [CD-Action 13/2012, p.62]
