I cannot see why you would want to exclaim you own this game during a low point of an evening, unless you want your friends to leave.

The stripped back mechanics and simplified gameplay might not be for everyone, but few shooters manage to appeal to both a Western and Japanese audience while somehow delivering an experience that is as fun for the casual gamer as it is for the hardcore.

It’s no good having a game which does so much so well, only to keep it hidden beneath layers of obfuscation. With a little more time spent teaching the player how it all works, this could have been an awesome experience.

It took Playdead almost six years to put out their follow-up to Limbo, and that time certainly was put to good use. It’s world is simultaneously macabre and filled with heart.

There’s 1000 gamerscore up for grabs and it’s certainly worth trying the game for yourself before saying it’s awful. Because who knows, it may just be my poor skill dragging my score down!

Looking from afar Puzzle Labyrinth may not spark with life, but venture in to the lost maze and you’ll be amazed as to what’s in store. Intricate level design, colourful anime like sprites and beneficial controls are all waiting to be discovered.

Not a stinker, and worth a look at the very least, just don’t expect to be blown away.

Dino Dini’s Kick Off Revival is a disappointing football game that has tried to embrace its roots but simply doesn’t play very well. I really wanted to like this game but the gameplay issues and lack of detail makes it a chore to play.

Full Moon Rampage is a twin stick shooter, with rogue like tendencies, and even a smidgen of RPG mechanics, thrown in a boiling pot of Voodoo magic goodness. Over The Top Games have released, what could be the Indie game of the year. Maybe of all time for the Xbox One console. You see, when you have a game that takes the previously mentioned ingredients, and mix them together on a low heat, cooking them to perfection, you create Full Mojo Rampage.

It’s not without its faults and the difficulty spikes during Story Mode could certainly do with a rethink, but despite these issues, One Piece: Burning Blood delivers a fine recreation of the hugely popular One Piece series while also providing a genuinely enjoyable, if slightly lightweight brawler.

With a premise such as the one we have here, Lost Sea could have been a fun hack n slash survival game. Sadly it’s neither, and apart from the nice looks, solid controls and great soundtrack it deserves to be left where its name implies.

It’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed a game as much as I have enjoyed this one.

Although the game’s engine could be tweaked to run smoother and maybe it will in the future, a lot of the time the graphics aren’t what make a game. It’s the storyline and how much you are enjoying the experience are the real reason this game will score higher for me.

Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir is a very special RPG. It’s not only a jaw-droppingly gorgeous technical marvel, or a terrific and surprisingly grounded, relatable high-fantasy narrative, but it’s also an action-RPG with sublime, satisfying combat. It ticks all the boxes an RPG fan could want, and then some. It’s a genre masterpiece.

For an avid Sims player like myself, I’d definitely recommend you spend the £14.99 on the Origin Store for this Game Pack – but if you’re into a more vanilla experience with your Sims, maybe give this one a miss until the time comes that you’re ready to venture into the world of owning a restaurant.

I quickly felt homesick when confronted with the wobbly controls and the lack of modern features and mechanics you’d expect from the genre. As you play, the appeal of the world fades, and the shortcomings begin to shine. It’s a playable adventure, just not a re-playable one. I give praise to the concept and story The Technomancer boasts, but not the game it’s built within.

It is above average, but only just. It misses the mark on several key points, and this is a shame, as Nowhere Studios have made an effort to improve upon the Steam release 2 years ago.

Playing Professional Farmer 2017 is the gaming equivalent of being waterboarded. Horrifyingly bad. Better to die. You’ll beg for it to stop, for the final achievement to unlock so you can put it away forever and forget it exists. It is, in a word, abysmal.

Barring the too easy first half and around two dozen of the games 400 rooms being simple transition areas without puzzles or platforming, Lumo does what it set out to do with confidence.

Arcade Archives Ikki is not the best the era or the collection by HAMSTER has to offer. It is a well-made game and a decent enough port. But it does not compete with so many other titles from both the era and this collection.

The challenge presented may be of interest to a select few, but most gamers will pass on Heart & Slash. This is a shame, as I am a huge Indie game fan. But I don’t see myself venturing back into this title.

As far as the presentation goes, the game is an absolute treat. You will most likely find yourself laughing throughout despite some of the mediocre mechanics at play here. If you want my honest opinion, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is a much better game. If you had to pick between the two, I would go with that one. But, Trials is definitely a serviceable sequel if you want to find out the conclusion to the epic tale of Rex “Power” Colt.
