Overall Cricket Captain 2016 is a game that will appeal to a small minority of people, if you have the patience and knowledge, you can really see the potential this game holds with its deep simulation and micromanagement, however for the casual Cricket fan this game is far too convoluted and menu heavy to recommend. Couple that with a career mode that lacks any real direction and you get a simulation game that just doesn’t quite fit the bill for me.

It’s slow pace won’t be for everyone and a great deal of patience is required and while the gameplay in Lifeless Planet definitely isn’t great, it’s passable. The greatness lies in the mystery and exploration of this planet.

Arcade Archives: Solomon’s Key is one of those games that actually did age pretty well. At least as far as gameplay is concerned. It’s challenging, yet fair and long enough, but not so long that it feels like it drags on. Outside of gameplay though, it’s a pretty average game, but if you like old games, it’s one of the better ones to check out in the Arcade Archives collection.

If you want to be frustrated for several hours then A Velocibox Ultimate Bundle is definitely worth your time, well at least a couple of hours of your time.

There is some fun to be had here. But you have to search hard for it. If this were a school report we’d probably end it by saying Quantum Rush: Champions has potential but could do better.

Ultimately, there’s enough crafting to make things interesting even if it’s linear, lacks intuitive flexibility and most of all refinement for this genre.

No Time To Explain is a fun and mechanically sound experience, but everything else about it is average at best for a price that’s just too high.

CLANNAD Side Stories was somewhat disappointing for me. I was expecting to see more of the characters, and these stories do not extend the main story either.

Yes, it’s better than last years’, Carmageddon: Reincarnation, but a bit of polish and a few extra game modes can’t save was is a fundamentally flawed video game.

At £1.59 Goodnight Butcher doesn’t break the bank and is an interesting curio if you’re looking for a quick fix, but there are far superior horror games out there that are more deserving of your time and money.

Rock Zombie ironically tries to revitalize a tired gaming genre from the past by throwing hordes of undead into the mix. An interesting premise and a bold palette isn’t enough to stop this gnarly brawler from being booed off stage due to lifeless animations, repetitive gameplay and overall inconsistency of the game.

Zombies on a plane offers nothing new or innovative for the zombie survival genre. With mediocre gameplay riddled with a variety of bugs and game crashes; Players will be left struggling to justify the steep buying price for a game that feels broken and offers no replayability beyond the first hour or two.

There are so many technical barriers to enjoying this on the Wii U I unfortunately can’t recommend you playing it on Nintendo’s machine. It’s such a sloppy conversion with so many frustrations, you’re better off letting it rest in peace.

Graphically, the game looks extremely bland, and whilst the animations look fairly good, the character models look awful with almost no texture to them or any facial details at all. It just doesn’t feel finished at all, and that’s not just the visuals, the entire game feels rushed with bland graphics, bland combat, and no story.

At the price of £15.99, I would suggest that you wait for a sale if you really want it that badly in your collection. As it stands, there are far better games out there worthy of your money.

A fun game to play but it doesn’t take too long before it gets repetitive.

It’s fun for five minutes and if you were excited about playing online like I was then that is shattered immediately. The idea for the game is good and it had potential, unfortunately that potential was not met.

A cool concept for what could have been a really fun title. Sadly, lack of content and a single player component just has this game come up short.

They were bad on last-gen consoles, but on the PlayStation 4, their array of faults are all the more unforgivable. You might be getting two games for the price of one, but in this instance, that’s not necessarily a good thing.

Arcade Archives: MAGMAX is a good game. It’s a well done port and I was happy to play it. But it’s just not worth paying $8 for.

R.B.I. Baseball 16 seems like a game specifically designed for fans of the sport and nobody else, but due to some questionable gameplay mechanics and a total lack of respect for the person wielding the controller, it turns out to be a game that only gluttons for punishment will find appealing. A challenge is all well and good, but the player needs to be given the tools to succeed first.

Each entry is an experiment, one that may crash and burn or possibly be an overall improvement. For now, the series would be fine exclusively being RPGs, and I doubt anyone would blame them for playing it safe.

There’s a lot of potential in here, gasping for air – I’m hopeful for whatever they turn their hands to next. But Animal Gods is merely a demo, a testing-ground for Still Games to learn their trade.

Bomb Jack is not a bad game and this is an excellent port. But it’s certainly not worth what HAMSTER is charging for it. It’s definitely fun a few times but ultimately I wouldn’t pay more than a few dollars for this small amount of gameplay.
